It was great place to stay for the Alabama game. Not far from the summit for shopping and lots of good cafes and restaurants pretty close. Parking was kinda an issue at first but it’s free on weekend and they do have a pay to park lot directly across the street. 10/10. Rooftop bar was quiet and drinks were good. Does close early if dead.

Great service

We had a very good stay! The service at the desk and valet were great, everyone was kind. The only thing we were disappointed about was the roof top bar is closed on sundays and their website says otherwise. We were really looking forward to that.

Our room was very nice and updated. The rooftop bar was very cool and the restaurant/bar downstairs was so nice and good!

Very nice historical hotel in downtown Birmingham. The oldest still in operation in the city. I had a single king bed room and it was sparse and simple but comfortable with a classic style.

AC in room didn’t work properly and housekeeping starting knocking on door at 8:30am!!!

Some things disappeared from our rooms. One of them was food. Another was large customized award sign bearing my name in large letters. It was so large could not fit in carryon airline luggage. No one in housekeeping knew anything. Will not risk staying there again.

The loacation of the location is phenomenal. The property has it's own restaurant and roof-top bar so there is not a need to leave if you don't want to. I enjoyed a peaceful sleep. I look forward to visiting the Redmont again.

All good thing to say about my stay at this property. The only con I have is. I’m diabetic and I required to have my medicine and a freezer chilled at a certain temperature with this being a four-star hotel in the room does not have a mini fridge was a big con a big negative

Very nice! I stayed one night in Rm 1010 with a view of the church. Very clean.
Excellent staff here. Cohesive morale. You can tell they enjoy working there and like their jobs.
The gym was under construction so no workout.
Sat at the bar for dinner( short ribs) EXCELLENT fare!
Parking:
Don’t pay for valet parking when you can park right across the street.
If you arrive 5 PM or later, you can park on the street until 9 to 10 AM the next day for free.

Hotel was SO much better than expected. The staff was extremely helpful, including opening up a closed snack bar to serve us. Our stay was only about 8 hours. But we will not hesitate to book this hotel again. We have 2 children living in the city now, so we will be back.

This is a beautiful historic building. It just felt a little under cared for. There was no body wash in the wall locked pump bottle, for example. Just little signs like that...

Hotel all in all was good. But the hotel restaurant left a lot to be desired. Staff is very under trained. Took forever to have my order taken. My food was constantly messed up. Had to ask for my check multiple times.

The hotel was poorly maintained with unpleasant odors in the room. Basic amenities were lacking. While the rooftop was nice, the overall experience was disappointing and doesn't live up to its reputation.

First room was hot. I mean, the thermostat read 90°. Asked a service person who was up there to step into the room. She said, “Jesus!” Said it five times. It smelled musty, too. Asked her about the smell, and she said that the hotel had flooded two days ago and they had just gotten power back on. Got another room. Better AC, but it was still musty. Also, bar was closed (10:30 pm on a Friday.)

Hotel was flooded and electricity off when arrived. Canceled room and never called us. Had to run around town to find another hotel. I need a refund.

This historic hotel is a gem. While not a large property, it has a lobby bar, restaurant and coffee shop. Downtown Birmingham is a safe place but was pretty much of a ghost town during our 4-day visit. There are restaurants within walking distance, but you have to find them. You can valet parking or use the public lot across the street.

We were there for the Steel City Jazz Festival. Upon checking in, the front desk was extremely unfriendly. I don’t know if they were overwhelmed with the amount of people that were checking in, but they seem extremely rude. The valet and concierge were extremely nice and kind.

It has a historical feel to it. I didn’t explore the area, but the property itself was very nice and someone always opened the door for me when I came in. The only weird thing was that the tissues in my room looked as if they had been pulled out of the box and then stuffed back in again. Didn’t seem used, but it was definitely odd. Otherwise, I’d stay again if I needed to.

This is a great hotel! We loved the historic appeal. The service was wonderful. We loved the views from the rooftop bar and the drinks were great. We wished there was more seating inside and shade for the outdoor seating.

Location was great for bjcc and protective stadium events walkable. Convenient and easy to use parking. Parking area could use a refresh as could the elevators also. Both minor things

Absolutely AMAZING place to stay. The nicest hotel staff you will ever find. Extremely clean and welcoming. We will be back

The room was nice but very basic in amenities. No mini-fridge or wet bar of any sort. Coffee maker was on a desk. It did have a safe though. Everything seemed clean and the bed, pillows, and linens were soft and comfortable. The AC was set to 62 when we got to our room and said the temp in the room was 64 but it was probably about 70 degrees in there. Fine for us, but seems that it may not be working properly. We only stayed one night, so wasn't enough for us to ask staff about it. The building is old and you can tell. Homeless people outside the lobby and an interesting crowd walking in and out of the lobby going to the lobby bar and rooftop bar. The room was nice enough overall.

So lovely was there for one night for our honeymoon they upgraded us to a suite. Was told our room was all sold out only could get a room without a window. The front desk saw our dress and gave us an amazing room. Love 10/10
