The property seemed well managed.

Stay there a week in August, very quite and relaxing. Saw people only near the pool and dining areas, which definitely was different expirience from the large hotels in mexico, dominican or costa rica. Staff if friendly. Convinient tours booking from the hotel lobby. Sargasu

It was an okay property. I will not be staying there again. Limited entertainment. Food options limited and okay. Breakfast was the best part. The front desk was amazing but most of the staff where rude and unhelpful

Property was great. But management needs to do a better job in showing the property and telling about events for kids that are going on and other things. Poor management in that area

Hospitality is great however, I would not recommend or return because there is limited activities and nowhere to get something to eat after 11pm. For an all inclusive resort the expectations is different. My family and others were bored the whole time we were there. Food was available scarcely and not always hot. Small portions were given and getting our food took over on hour and restaurant was not crowded. I would not return. And there were hidden cost

I booked this resort only 2 days before arriving, so I didn’t do the thorough research I usually do when booking accommodations. Let me start with the positives: the staff is amazing! I never had a bad experience with anyone and they were always friendly and helpful. The resort itself is large and overall very clean and well maintained. There are a number of excursions that can be booked directly from the resort. The negatives: for some reason I thought the resort was adults only (I must have misread the listing) so that was a disappointment for me upon arriving, of course at no fault of the resort. It’s not a traditional “all inclusive” like what I’m used to. No 24/7 room service or restaurants open, very minimal dining options, no daily room cleaning and turn down service (every other day), minimal entertainment and activities. Don’t stay here if you are a foodie!!!!!! There is only one option for breakfast and they serve the same thing every day with no variation. For lunch there are 2 options and dinner is 2-3 options that vary by day. The food is bland and basic. It’s advertised that there are multiple beaches but one is a bay (so not giving beach vibes) and the other is not a beach that is accessible to get in. I would likely not stay here again simply because it’s not adults only. If you are vacationing with children or are not bothered by children, this resort is acceptable but it’s nothing extravagant.

Went there for the beech. Beech was covered with pungent seeweed
Limited/same food choices every day
Resturant staff could be extremely slow/incorrect orders at times, however very apologetic and friendly.
Poolside and lobby bartenders A
In room mini fridge with nothing stocked to drink

The damn frogs were beefin all night sounding like they were chilling in a rocking chair all night. Seaweed smell was cray in the mornings. BUT really enjoyed the spa, snorkeling excursion and friendliness of the staff. Oh and the coffee shop was a great perk.

I like the sunset cruise tour. Some off the staff were helpful but there were lots off weeds in the ocean. We were not told and we could not bath in the beach. Food choices were also limited. We expected more…..

Great place to stay, we were visiting for four nights to watch the Cricket. We all agreed that four nights wasn’t enough and that we would happily come back again.

The variety of food options available was outstanding. The staff was the best in town. Plan to return soon.

Would not stay here again. So much seaweed on the beach you can’t even use it we had to drive 15 minutes away to go to a local beach. Good was just on. No entertainment whatsoever. Our room had no hot water. The only thing good about this resort was the staff they were very nice hospitality was amazing.

In general, the staff was very friendly and attentive. They cleaned the rooms and replenished the towels every other day, but would provide towels if requested. The main issue was the seaweed on the beach. Unfortunately, we were never able to go into the actual ocean water and had to stay on the Bayside because there was terrible seaweed the entire trip. Obviously, this is something that they were not able to control, but there may be other parts of the island that did not have the severe seaweed issue.

We really appreciated the upgrade to a Royal suite!
As an all inclusive resort that has high volume of food preparation, I had one issue with milk that was starting to sour. Secondlly, on the trip home I developed Traveller's diarrhea. However I could not pinpoint the source.

No hot water the whole week and sick from food

Loved the water sports, restaurant options, pickleball courts, bartenders, room, staff.

The property was very nice and neat. The food choices were sufficient with buffet breakfast that had lots to pick from, lunch was available at multiple locations, and dinner was mostly with a sit down setting served by a waitress. Three restaurants were by reservation only with one specialty location at a added cost. This one was worth the price.
No daily room cleanup and towel replacement. Was told they do it every other day but sometimes we had to call for this.
The entertainment was spotty and mostly was game oriented and not well attended. Music around the pool was DJ’d and some 2-3 piece bands at a couple locations. The bay beach was nice with soft sand and calm waters but the ocean beach was loaded with seaweed and some odor.
All in all, this place is a nice place to relax to but don’t expect a lively atmosphere.

Fun place to bring the family!

Resort was clean but a little tired. Rooms and public area could stand to be updated. Staff very service oriented, welcoming and pleasant. Oceanside beach virtually unusable as a result of seaweed despite daily cleaning attempts by staff. Bay beach is only alternative if you don’t want to leave resort. It was fine.
Food options at buffets varied and good. Other restaurants were good as well.
Group had a good time, but not likely to return to this property in Antigua.

The staff the hotel itself, the cleanliness plenty of things to do. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous. The only thing I had issue with was the food. I don’t want to take away from this gorgeous resort, but the food just didn’t taste good in my opinion, but everything else was great. I would highly recommend, this resort .

Property was beautiful, quiet, clean and well maintained. The food was good, a bit more options at lunch time at the rainbow cafe would make it excellent. Breakfast and dinner had great options. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely return.

This hotel is a definite must stay! The resort is spacious, clean and well maintained.
The staff are friendly, personable and made us feel the Caribbean warmth and hospitality from day 1.
Chad and Dane tended bar and always served drinks with a smile. We looked forward to the evening chat at the bar with them. Elvis from the Docksider restaurant was also a pleasure. Big smiles all day long and cheerful every single time we saw him. The staff at the check in counter were also friendly, helpful and provided info of the establishments nearby and the excursions that are a must see.
The island itself is exceptional. Having the smiling faces and employees who enjoy their job made our stay even better😊
First time in Antigua but we’ll be back for sure and, we’ll be staying at St. James Club everytime

The only disappointment was that the on site dive shop was closed and had been for some time. We chose St. James Club because diving was a big factor in staying there, however the other provided activities were a lot of fun.

We really enjoyed our stay at St James Club Antigua! There's plenty to keep you occupied or splaces to relax if you prefer! There's also lots of options to grab some food or a drink. The coffee shop is also a must for an ice coffee and cupcake! Sometimes service was a little slow but the staff were always lovely and friendly

The staff here was great, especially Michael at the breakfast smoothie bar. The woman handling the excursions could have been a bit friendlier, but other than that, they were super nice and professional. The resort is definitely a little dated but very clean and quite big. Food was good, though the lack of access to water during late hours was frustrating. Was surprised that room service not only came at a fee, but you had to pay for the food. That was not clearly explained and I would not have ordered as much had I known. Also, there should be a room service menu as you just called the restaurant and they listed some menu items (without sharing prices) - a one time room service cost me $115 American - DO NOT order.

Attentiveness of staff could be improved. Being relaxed & slow paced is great and part of being on vacation in the Caribbean, but when one needs to ask 4-5 times to receive something, or get something done, it gets a bit annoying. Especially after spending $$ to stay at a perceived upscale resort. This is especially true with the dining experience at St James Club. Some staff are excellent in this regard others are far below acceptable.

Beautiful resort with two beaches to choose from: Ocean side and Bay side. There was some seaweed on some days but the crew was diligent in clearing it and the bay side had none.
The staff were soooo friendly, it surprised us. Genuinely nice people.
The food options were good (4 stars not 5 because some more options would have been better).
The evening entertainment was very limited but we weren't really there for shows so didn't mind the live music in the bar area and games at the coffee shop.
New pickleball courts were a lot of fun. The gym is also a nice size with new equipment.
Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at St James.
5.0
Loved how quiet, and private the club was, plenty of beach chairs to choose from, good amount of variety of food, especially the buffet, the cleaness of the property and the beaches, didn't like that some pathways weren't lit very well in the evening, the floor in the rooms even after being mopped were completely dirty and you could see the black on your feet, service was slow at best, and alot of the crew seemed unhappy. But never the less was really nice place and definitely would like to take another vacation at the property.
