This hotel is really poor, currently reported to trading standards as its nothing like advertised and Hotels.com are trying to help
It was a cheap room but you still expect a clean room, the hotel was filthy outside and in, using as a halfway house

They demand £50 deposit when you arrive which is not clear on 3rd party booking sites. Then refuse to return deposit for absolutely no reason. Linen and towels were clean but the room and hotel is minging. Worst hotel l've stayed in !!

Given the price and the warning from the site that refurbishment was required, we weren't expecting too much. Sadly, things were even worse than expected. This place is way past its' best before date and although the price may look cheap, by the time all the extras are added on it would be just as cheap to stay somewhere much nicer. Extras.??? Well, let's start with £12 to park the car. Although a kettle is provided, tea and coffee and milk is EXTRA, leave by 10a.m. or it's £10 per person per hour to be paid. Leave your luggage before check in..? £2.50 per item. You have to leave a £50 card authorisation in case you....... I don't know what.! There is a TV in the room but when we arrived and settled down for a bit of TV before bed the choices were BBC news, ITV news or two other choices of Al Jazzera. This place is stuck in the era it was last updated... the 1960's.!!!

Really cheap, and clean but the equipment and furniture is quite worn and basic. However we were really happy with the value for money and would defiantly book again.

A one night stay for two , There was one Towel. One Dirty Cup. No tea bags ,coffee or milk! We chose this 1 night stay because it was Cheap, we left our Room by 10,am as stated ,And went down to Recption to ask where we could get a coffee, the Receptionst was in a row with a customer so by the time we handed keys in was maybe 10,15 maximum , we left without a hot drink ,And to my horroh they had charged me an extra 20 Quid for a late check out!

Friendly staff although the hotel does need a little updating but you are pre-warned of this.
The rooms are clean and it is in a great location and ideal for a weekend trip.

It was very unpleasant stay at this hotel.
Shower was not working properly and overall hotel come across extremely untidy and not clean.

Very run down hotel as can be expected with seaside towns but the room was unkept and in dire need of refurb. Bathroom was very small and had no door. Shower was grotty and had little pressure. I did get this on a cheap deal so I suppose it could have been expected but I would not stay here again. Also you have to pay £12 parking a day which I only read after booking my non refundable room.

The staff that check me in on arrival was pleasant and wonderful though i had to wait for about 20min. Property was dirty, old building. There was a dried on what looked like vomit on the inside door of lift. Wifi was not free, have never paid for wifi in a hotel before, was shocked to hear that. parking was expensive. Not going there again.

My stay was okay, but didn’t sleep too well because I was scare the window in the room does not close. And in the toilet there is a stain which looks disgusting. If you put a lot of bleach it can leave the toilet clean.
Otherwise the reception people were so friendly and helpful. Thanks

Bit noisy. Guess you cannot account for fellow guests.
Location A1 for beach, shopping and eating if prepared to trek a little.
Why the £50 deposit.... Told it will be returned. Here's hoping. Otherwise staff kind and attentive especially on checking in and out.

I advise anyone not not not to book this hotel they scam you they take your money from hotel.com and then when you arrive they want paid again they say that hotel.com fees you have paid and we have to now pay again so that ask for another £400 I called hotel.com they contacted the hotel whilst I was stood there and the hotel would not talk to hotel.com on the phone they just kept asking for another £400 when it all been paid upfront in full before I arrived and hotel.com emailed them also and they would not reply to the emails but to be honest I would of left anyway the hotel was filthy there was police forensic and also a guest asking for his deposit back when he was leaving and they said he would get it in 2 weeks time he was not leaving he said and waiting 2 weeks he warned us not to even go in the rooms beds were dirty the shower was full of mould but he had no choice to stay as he arrived at 5am had no where else to go so had to bare it , also when telling the locals what they done trying to charge me twice all the locals and taxi drivers said never never stay there this hotel is where they house the homeless and refugees for months on time also when we arrived there was police and forensic but to honest lucky I had more money to spare to go else where as they was not letting me check in unless I coughed up another £400 I had 2 kids with me as well and there was no way I would of gave them another 4p the place was stinking lost my money no refund of the hotel scammers

Friendly staff. The bed and sheets/ towels were a good standard.
Had to buy teabags/ coffee from reception. The tea didn’t taste nice. Wi-Fi wasn’t included so we didn’t buy it. There was no breakfast which was disappointing. They made an excellent curry in the evening which we bought separately. Hot water was not always available.
Sadly we wouldn’t book again.

Never go there, Terrible rude reception- Old guy named Kamal, single room turned into a double, NOT the standard double, it has got a single headboard and there is no room for 2 people. The hotel has just stuck a double bed against the wall so one person can not get out of the bed on the other side, this person sleeping on the wall side will have to climb over the person next to him/her to get out of the bed. Also there was a small wardrobe at the feet so you can not even get out of the bed at the bottom. There was hardly a room for single person to move and not for 2 people. Also the lock was broken.
We did request another room but the receptionist named Kamal an old guy with an attitude said he will not change it, hence I complained to Expedia agent and they promised me a refund so we had to go to another hotel. Kamal also argued and wanted extra £20 per head for a group of 4 people because there were 2 rooms booked but we had to explain that they are in different names and friend has room number 212. We only travelled together from Leicester and by our bad luck we got the small room, if we had a similar room like number 212, we would not have had any problem.
we have NEVER requested a room with seaview and lie this way is not a customer service after we paid in full in good faith.

Pros : the floor had been hovered, bed had fresh sheets covering disgusting the mattresses and beds.
Cons: all the furniture was very aged, sink almost falling off wall, broken tiles dirty grout, mattress’s are disgusting with stains, burn holes, others had blood stains, dirty curtains, all very well worn.
If it was £30/40 a night fine, but at closer to £100 a night I do expect more.
If I ever came again I’d spend and extra £10/20 a night and go next door to the royal bath hotel next door which was more like what I expected to see.
Overall Disappointed, I stayed here as a child it was a nice place which is why I chose it, there was no signs of it undergoing refurbishment.
To the owners : You can do better to bring the property to its former glory.

The hotel is in very poor condition and very dirty.Quilt should have been thrown away with the pillows.Tea tray filthy no complimentary tea, coffe etc. bathroom dirty and needed redoing.I dread to think what was struck at the bottom of the toilet. I have never been in such a dirty place. It is being falsely avertised as the pictures shown on the website of the hotel were taken some time ago just look at the portable tv and are nothing like how the rooms are now. After you have paid which is nonrefundable they send you an email stating the hotel is being refurbished but that is rubbish the place has not been touched for decades and no signs of any work being done.Clean quilts and pillows should be standard and the ones I had should have been thrown away they were not fit for humans to use only fit for the bin.Sleeping on the beach would have been better. If you have any sense stay away from this hotel.. I cannot believe they charge so much for this hotel. The hotel should be condemned.

This is a nice hotel that is clean, mostly very well kept, and excellent value for money. It is near the beach and eating areas of Bournemouth. Definitely worth a future booking.

Very good for price paid!

Hotel not in a great state and definitely not value for money, they even charge you extra for a sea view instead of just acommodating that need. The property badly needs cleaning outside and doesn't have fit for purpose facilities in the room, why put a kettle in room and not give guests drink making items to make teas/coffees. Hotel has a habit of letting the wrong kind of guests stay there, such as stag and he dos, get away from hosting such groups there are other places in bournemouth that can fit them in.

Booked here with a group of older gents for a night out. But once we had booked we were then informed of a £20 pp because we had done a group booking, we were also told parking was £12 for the night to turn up to be asked to pay £24. All in all I would not book here again.

It is a very old and unkempt hotel, at the reception there are people who are not nice or kind, they believe themselves God and ask you for a deposit of 50 pounds, for this old hotel. I'm disappointed, but it was the best solution at the moment it doesn't offer any internet.

Health and safety issue with bath. No grip or bath mat. Inside is very slippery. Mattress in the room not suitable and the carpet in the room is not great around the corners of the room and around the wardrobe not cleaned.
2.0
Location was great, staff were friendly but parking was a issue, their charge you £12 per day ( it wasn’t the issue) car park was small and also out to the public with no priority to hotel guesses which meant we found our self’s with no spaces after paying for the day

Truly Awful. Avoid by all means.
First incredibly large problem - Illegal fees upon check in for groups of 4 or more, misleading by omission on the advertised price. For 4 people this equates to a minimum of £80 per night, as they charge £20 per person per night. This not advertised until AFTER you pay, and if you paid with a non-refundable option youre backed into a corner and have no option but to pay or lose your money.
Room 1 was digusting, beds not made, used towels, both beds slept in. So moved to room 2. Room 2 had unclean bathroom, radiator installed with zip ties, shower head was horrid. Mugs and kettle provided with no tea/coffee/sugar/milk - pointless.
Car parking - cars are £12 per night, anything else including pickups is £20, which is not stated within T&Cs, seems made up on the spot.
Beds are super uncomfortable. Building is not well maintained and very dated, usually this would be expected for the budget price but with the hidden illegal fees this is terrible.
Reported to trading standards. This place needs MAJOR work and shutting down before issues are sorted.
Vile.
