The staff was amazing. We left feeling like we had new friends. We can’t wait to go back next summer!

Room had a full sitting area (mini-living room) with TV & fireplace and bedroom with TV. Our room has a private entrance just off the garden.
Two Adirondack chairs on the porch just to take in the view and smells.
Breakfast each day was excellent and dialog with different guests was easy and friendly.
Property was in a great location to town or the historic mansions.

Our stay at Hydrangea House was absolutely wonderful! Kim is the best part of the experience!! She is extremely professional and very friendly and will do whatever she can to make your stay memorable. Ruth was also fantastic!
The breakfast is perfect, a combination of eggs, fruit, sweet treats and bacon or sausage. It’s served to you in a beautiful dining room family style, so you can meet other guests and socialize with them.
The location is great too, easy to walk to everything. There’s also a parking lot making it easy.
We will absolutely be back! Thanks for a great stay!

The decoration is adorable and the staffs are all nice.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We loved the location. Perfect to walk to Thames St and area restaurants. Free Bellvue bus to Mansions and Crosswalk across the street. Breakfast was outstanding! Staff was very accomodating and courteous.

Enjoyed the house, our room and the closeness to the area attractions. Very comfortable room. Staff was friendly and hospitable.

This was a lovely B&B that went out of it's way to make you feel welcome. Facility was excellent and free parking is an added plus. It's across from the Viking Hotel which charges for parking (and waives the Internet charge as part of their 'resort fee). Breakfast was okay ... not the best we've ever had at a B&B ... but good and hearty. I would definitely recommend this small inn to people who like comfort, convenience and fair pricing.

Will be staying there again above and beyond any expectations.

Amazing inn with wonderful staff. Kim and Ruth were amazing!

We absolutely adored our stay at the Hydrangea House. Not knowing anything about Newport, we decided to try out this highly rated BnB - and we couldn’t agree more with all the praise. We will absolutely be staying again and we even want to bring my parents to stay. With all the gorgeous rooms (we stayed in the French Country), the expert service, and the distance to Thames - you are sure to enjoy so much of this boutique and unique establishment. Cookies at turndown service, delicious varied breakfasts, and coffee/tea all day and night in the lobby - we couldn’t fee cozier or more relaxed. Also a surprisingly spacious, spa-like shower!
If I had one piece of feedback - it would be the mattresses and bedding. Super clean, but my partner and I had trouble getting comfortable the whole 4 nights. Sad to say because so much our trip was spectacular because of this BnB.
Lastly, we had no hot water for a few hours due to plumbing issues on our final night. Totally understandable however the staff didn’t give us a heads up. When the water was turned back on - the hot water heater also wasn’t kicked back on. We took showers later in the evening and they were chilly - not realizing that this WH could’ve been off. Totally understandable happenstances - but wanted to be fully transparent.
Again - adored this place and can’t wait to come back and hope the inn considers our feedback.

Beautiful property and very nice staff! We had a Great time!

Pleasant experience, friendly staff, and great location. My only issue is that the mattress wasn't very comfortable- i'd expect a higher quality sleeping experience for this kind of establishment, but this is a relatively minor issue.

Outstanding, quaint, and a with a wonderful host. Don’t think twice about booking this property.

Excellent stay at a wonderful inn with a fantastic staff, cozy and comfortable accommodations and an excellent breakfast!!!

This was a wonderful B&B to stay in Newport! Our room was very comfortable, so cozy! The daily breakfast option with two different time slots was so perfect and each meal was amazing! The happy hour nightly from 4-6pm along with nighttime cookies was a perfect touch. Everywhere was walkable and easy to access. The staff was perfect, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. We even had a late flight out and they allowed us to stay in our room until we needed to leave. I would highly recommend this stay for anyone coming to Newport!!

We stayed in the Hydrangea Suite for three nights. The Inn was nicely located, quiet, and clean. The owners were nice. Breakfast was delicious. There were a couple porches on the back that we enjoyed in the evenings. And there was more-than-ample parking.
But there were some negatives. Our "all marble bathroom" was wallpapered and had a dated fiberglass shower enclosure. The "steam" in the "steam shower" didn't steam. The vanity light switch caused the GFI breaker to pop about half the time. The AC was installed in a hole that looks like a child carved it and was plugged into an outlet with no cover. The tub surround was to high and wide to allow one to step into the tub but it was too narrow and uneven to allow one to "sit and spin". We never once got the nightly turndown service with the promised chocolate chip cookies. We tried to watch a movie one rainy night only to find that the Inn had no premium cable channels; not even HBO, for instance. And our room was never cleaned before about 1:45 in the afternoon.
None of the negatives would keep us from going back but we'd have been disappointed if we were motivated to stay there by a few of these things.

Breakfast was excellent. Amy is a great cook. The scones were out if this world. The service is very attentive.
Our room was large and comfortable. The sink didn’t drain properly but otherwise everything was great. The carpeting in the common areas could use a steam cleaning.
Location and parking were superb.

Very nice people, clean place

Great location, nice room. Very friendly staff. Drawbacks were the radio playing all night long in lobby that we could hear in our room. For breakfast there were no choices , ended up eating elsewhere. Get a water purifying system, reverse osmosis, the planet does not need more plastic water bottles . Google the damage of water bottles to the environment and people’s health.

Our first trip to Newport, RI, was spent here. We wanted to see a few of the “cottages” as they are known, but also go downtown and have a wonderful Sunday brunch. This spot met all our needs for my birthday weekend celebration. The breakfasts were so good on Sat that we didn’t go anywhere else for breakfast on Sun. (We did splurge and go to Marble House for a high tea experience at Noon.) Our room was on the top floor - generous in size. We don’t try out the large bathtub in the space but it was very quiet (despite a hotel being across the street); I brought ear plugs but didn’t use them at all. And it was in walking distance to downtown and a short drive to the mansions. A delightful stay!

This was a beautiful property. Felt very historic and true to the Newport vibe. Stayed in the Chesterfield Suite with the massive jacuzzi tub and separate living area. It was clean and very relaxing. Will definitely stay again!

I don’t remember how much I paid for the room, but it was absolutely worth whatever it was! Great room, and great BnB experience with a morning breakfast filled with friendly and engage conversation from our fellow guests and staff, and excellent food! Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Laura, Bambi and the crew were all really cool. Beautiful 2 course breakfast every morning in the dining room. A Very nice and quaint establishment with a groovy whiff of music through the ambience of a “time gone by” playing downstairs. Loved the verandahs out the back in the late balmy evenings. It is in an incredibly accessible location in Newport. Just the right walking distance from everything.

The food, the service, cleanliness, charm and comfortable beds! Steam shower, double shower heads, jacuzzi tub in the living room area to watch TV and relax from. Wonderful experience! Complimentary breakfast, a beautiful and intimate setting, wine and cheese from 4-6, fresh basked cookies at 7pm. The BEST! We will be back!

Everything was wonderful. The entire place is immaculate. Breakfast was home made by Kim both mornings and absolutely delicious. The room was spacious, and welcoming.
