Beautiful venue, centrally located, within walking distance of all major activities with easy access to an excellent breakfast restaurant. Comfortable, quiet, peaceful hotel. I have already recommended to a friend traveling to Quebec City.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location for visiting the old city. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shops.

We usually stay outside of Old Quebec. This time we decided to stay in the area and without a doubt the best decision. The area speaks for itself. The hotel is nestled just inside the gates of Old Quebec where from your street side window you can hear the horse drawn carriage passing by, people chatting as they pass through the streets ( with window open, silent with windows closed). The self check in was amazing. No issues. Directions to the hotel and instructions to self check in were exact. No issues. We chose to park at the hotel which was excellent. We did have a question or two and had an immediate text reply from the number we were provided the day before check in. prompt, professional service. The rooms are magical and a step back in time. Although the rooms were true to historical Quebec, the modern marble tiled bathroom with rain shower was a welcome treat to come back to after strolling in the crisp winter air. The location is 5 - 10 min walk to anywhere in Old Quebec. Numerous restaurants also in min from the hotel with 2 - 3 next door to the hotel. The drive to the 2 major shopping centers was very easy and 15 - 20 min ( with traffic). Highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely return.

Could not gain access to the property as it has an un manned desk. Should have received a code to access property, but did not. Tried to contact proprietor via mail and telephonically with no luck. Communicated with Hotels.com representative who also could not make contact with proprietor, she was going to arrange cancellation and refund

The best part of the staff was the housekeeper (shame on me for not getting her name), who was great about getting us into our room when we arrived early, and who checked in on us during our stay and who was just a wonderful human. The place has a virtual front desk, so there's no one on duty at the property, so she was a lifeline. No dining/bar facilities - it's kind of like a B&B where the owners are nowhere to be found.
That said, the old house exudes charm and our room was very comfortable and for some inexplicable reason, it had a table that was set for two - kinda strange. But it came in handy our first night, which was cold and blustery and when my wife didn't want to go out again, I picked up pizza, salad and wine (glasses available in the basement "kitchen") and we had a comfy place to eat and enjoy each other's company.
All in all, a fun stay and the price was right.

Great hotel. Staff very responsive whenever I had a question, even though there was nobody on site. Very quite room, despite busy street sometimes at night. Thanks to all staff!

Absolutely beautiful hotel. It was so romantic and I loved every second of being there. The tub was a plus, and the four poster bed was amazing.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Quebec with easy access to nearly everything. There was an easy checkin process although there is no official front desk. Our only problem was service. Our room was never made up upon request which means we ran out of towels, coffee and toilet paper on a three night stay. I rummaged around a closet in the hall to find some more coffee but for the rest we were simply out of luck. So nice quaint hotel with no frills.

Lovely hotel within the old town. Great location, easy access and handy to everything. Private parking is available.

Great pick. Right in the middle of what you came to see. Parking is limited but public parking is close and and affordable.

Had to park two blocks away. $25 per day. No staff on site. Dirty dishes in basement kitchen sink for days. Had trouble with safe when checking out. Called but no one ever called back or came. Have called twice since leaving about shoes left in the room. No one has called back. Third floor room was dark and cold. Location of hotel was excellent, but service was not existent.

The hotel is very nice and quite old. Rooms are good sized and are decorated in keeping with the period. Ceilings had the rough beams. Floors are hardwood. The bathroom incorporated some of the original brick. There are two caveats. They have no elevator and the floors are pretty high so if you have a room on the third floor, it is a bit of a challenge. They tell you this but just be aware. The second item is there is no one on site. You get codes to get into the front door and your room. This all worked quite well. They have good WIFI, extra towels, cups, etc. and they have an ice machine so you really don't need anyone but if if you need help it is a phone call and there is no house phone so you really need Canada coverage on your cell phone. Other than that the hotel is great. Location is super and convenient to restaurants and attractions. Short walk to just about everything.

We loved the uniqueness of the room. The sitting room was the best! We also loved how conveniently located the hotel was to restaurants and shops.

We were traveling with parents with mobility issues and specifically requested a ground floor room. Unfortunately when we arrived the keypad for their room didn't work. Since there is no staff on-site I emailed, texted and tried calling three times before I finally reached someone. They assumed we had entered the code incorrectly which felt insulting as we had easily entered our room on the second floor and it wasn't a complicated process. When I finally convinced them the key pad didn't work, they had to send someone with a key. It was a very poor experience for our parents and that was very disappointing to us as we had gifted them the room.

Very nice place in a great location. Check-in / check-out was very easy. Just needed a code for the door, didn't see any actual staff there which was totally fine.

I would love to be able to rate this hotel but 2 days before our arrival we were told that our room had a water leak and they offered us another hotel 1/2 mile away from Los clos saint-Louis ànd outside old Quebec. As we were already on vacation we just accepted the replacement as we didn’t have time to research at that point. They added breakfast at the new hotel but it was horrible service ànd messed up orders so we didn’t use it the rest of our stay. The new hotel also had no desk service anytime we stopped by except for the afternoon we registered. In addition the street was closed off all weekend to cars so we couldn’t even drop off our luggage in front of the hotel. Everytime we walked by the Saint-Louis we wondered what our Etsy there would have been like

Perfect location. The self check in was easy. The staff was responsive to requests. Only negative was no individual room control for temperature. My partner likes a really cool room so he was uncomfortable. But i was fine. So this negative is only a heads up for people like him.

The property itself is very nice, but there is no one there… we used codes to enter the building and our room. We could not control the thermostat in our room and it was cold… 68/69 degrees. We asked that the temperature be increased, but it wasn’t. Our room was not made up during our 3 day stay

This hotel is full of character and had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay here again!

It was a perfect get-away location
8.0
The hotel is beautifully presented and check in information was made clear. It was a reasonably priced hotel and the location was perfect, right next to everything you needed. Our only downside would be due to the age of the property and old floorboards we were disturbed each night and very early each morning by very heavy footsteps and banging in the room above, unfortunately disturbing our sleep. Whilst this isn’t in control of hotel management, perhaps some reminders to guests that floorboards are old and noisy would be helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and it is a beautiful hotel.

Very pretty room with nice view of the church and beautiful, historic street, right in the heart of everything! Most of all the staff was super accommodating- amazingly so, highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time. The location is excellent for easy access to restaurants, the castle and shops. We will return. Parking was the only drawback.

The property & stay was excellent! But I was cheated by Expedia on the price of the booking by $700
Therefore I am not impressed & will not use Expedia again!

The hotel is a converted antique mansion with beautiful furniture, air conditioning, and a very restful place to be at the end of a day of touring and shopping. Excellent restaurants just down the street and lots to do and see.
