Having visited Alameda a number of times over the last 20 years and stayed at a variety of hotels, I would rate this property as the best I have stayed at. I have stayed at this hotel previously and would highly recommend it for business or pleasure. It is clean, safe, ideally located and offers value for the money.

It was great i especially liked the free breakfast and the ferry to sanfrancisco is only 2 minutes away. Fantastic location and good service
4.3
I booked a king suite and was given a double queen room instead with no price adjustment.
We had our two small children with us which was the reason for the larger room size.
The manager on duty was not helpful or apologetic. It felt as though I was more of an inconvience than their customer.
4.3
Room was super clean and bed was very comfortable! Most of the hotel staff were very nice and helpful, however one of the hotel lobby workers was unfriendly. I gave this hotel 4/5 stars because the ac was leaking so we were unable to have it on, and because the service was good, but not great. The room was very clean as well as the bathroom. The cable tv had very good channels so that was a plus. Overall would definitely stay again.

I had a great stay, room was very clean, had plenty of towels, usually I need to ask for more at other hotels. Bed was comfortable. I had a nice view or the water from my window. Breakfast was good too. The gentleman who checked me in was very nice, professional and answered all my questions. This was the second time I have stayed here. Will definitely be back.
4.3
Staff was friendly and helpful but desk employees were BOTH very new. They were able to answer my questions but it took them a bit to figure it out. Shouldnt have two new people working together on a really busy Saturday night! The breakfast was good and the serving staff helpful. Big complaint, there was NOTHING in the booking that said that parking in an open lot with no security was going to cost an extra $16.00/car. My parents and I were sharing a room but were in separate cars. I could have picked up my rental the next day had I known. If you are going to charge for an ungated open lot, at least employ security to protect my car. For the additional $32.00 can't say the breakfast made up for it, could have stayed down the street for less.
4.3
Poor service, old smelly fridge just laying in hallway for 2 days. Out of the way nothing around. No extras in room, evening staff in helpful. Would not recommend. Rooms poorly equipped for an inn and suites. Nor fridge or microwave in room. Rooms worn out.
4.3
According to locals, the entire Oakland area is not safe. The hotel charges $10.00 if you use the shuttle bus to the airport. Hotel is very dark and outdated.
4.3
Quiet, clean, safe, close to everything.
4.3
Great hotel in a safe location with close proximity to airport. Decent breakfast with ample seating. There is a $10 per room fee for the airport shuttle, which the hotel failed to mention in its listing. I personally dislike hyatt's pillows which is why i rated comfort as low.
4.3
Very convenient to the airport.
4.3
Customer service here was amazing!
4.3
what I like was it had bar/food area, and also the complimentary breakfast.
4.3
The window coverings are not a true block out drape. They don’t cover the entire window, on both windows. Stains on both desk chairs, with one broken. One of the glass slider door’s hard to slide, we did try to get it back on track, unable to so it. Front desk was informed.
4.3
Some of the most friendly welcoming staff I've experienced at a hotel before! The Microsoft outage made it so keycards didn't work and staff had to physically let us into our room, but they were always gracious and kind. Good breakfast spread (not much option for folks with multiple allergies like myself though). Quiet AC/heating system which is a bonus, never heard airplanes but did hear some noise from room above.
4.3
Staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating. Probably one of my favorite hotels to stay at. I was there all week. Also loved having a hot breakfast. There are no micro or fridge in room, but the lobby has micro's and hot water and coffee around the clock. .
4.3
Clean and simple. Kind and helpful employees. Very close to the ferry and airport and easy available shuttle.
4.3
clean and safee

It was very nice and very clean. Staff was also pleasant. Amy st the front desk was awesome!
4.3
The young woman who checked us in was very courteous as was the young man who checked us out.
4.3
Beautiful location and great staff but the hotel is showing signs of neglect. The pool was shut down to an imbalance in the chemicals but no notice of that when I booked. There was a faint musty smell in my room, I’m thinking the carpet? The furniture has stains. I don’t know if I’d stay again…maybe if the price was right.
4.3
Everything was perfect staff was great. Only thing that would have made it better was if they had better luggage carts. The three wheel design posed issues on getting stuck in cracks and luggage falling off. Other than that everything was excellent.

Nothing

I did not realize that the hotel was charging us $16.00 per day for parking. This information was NOT in your website!!! We did not like that at all.... there should be NO hidden costs!
4.3
My stay was quick and simple, one of our nights the fire alarm did go off and mostly all of the hotel evacuated, with no information on what was going on. We then later found out someone pulled the fire alarm, we don’t know if it was on purpose or accidental. But overall good stay!
4.3
This is a very safe and convenient hotel. Breakfast was excellent and had some different items each day. Our room was serviced every day, even though I didn’t expect it to be so that was a pleasant surprise. Downsides were that the pool apparently is not maintained and was actually closed with a health department notice so if a pool is important to you, you might want to call and confirm it’s open. The bar/bistro was also closed over the weekend and there is no alternative that is walking distance. Finally, charging for parking felt petty. There are no specific hotel spots. Parking is part of a huge industrial park. Still, I’d recommend it if you need a place to stay in Bayfarm.

Easy and convenient

Staff was excellent and helped us save money by advising us of the ferry to San Francisco instead of BART. Then they provided free transportation to the ferry. Rooms were clean and well kept. We will choose Hampton Inn when we are in Oakland.
4.3
The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The room was clean, neat, and had everything I needed, and I appreciated that they offered continental breakfast!
4.3
All the staff are super helpful and very friendly wonderful experience
4.3
Our only concern was the privacy in for the windows. No blackout drapes that covered the entire windows.
The smell of the room was a little offensive. If there is a spray that’s used I would suggest a lemon or no scent at all.

Alma was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The team was ready for our late arrival and we had no issues
4.3
Clean and nice walking track
4.3
No refrigerator or microwave in the room. Had to go up elevator to get to ice maker. Parking was very limited and dark. I was warned about area at rental car pick up after booking the hotel. Staff was nice and hotel was comfortable.

Pro: Good location. Very good complementary breakfast.
Con: Room smells stale and musty. No fridge in room.

We stayed here for one night. Checked in around mid night and checked out in morning. Intention was to get a clean hotel to spend night and it was served well.
Room: Room was decent, clean. bathroom was good. There was no refrigrator or microwave in room. In morning lady at check-in desk helped in accessing kitchen microwave to warm milk for baby.
Breakfast; Breakfast was included in price. It was good standard breakfast we get in hotels.
Locality: I read reviews about safety issues in this area. But I didn’t see anything concerning in whatever time I was there. Infact Police car was parked at front door. Area is quite as exepected. Didn’t hear noise( even it’s close to airport).
Overall good stay!
4.3
Staff was excellent! We paid $16 for parking, these seems excessive and unnecessary. We checked in late and left after 4 hours to catch a flight, so parking really doesn’t make sense. A long black hair in the sink, but the room did look clean other than that. Its Alameda so it is nicer than staying in Oakland if you are there to fly out/in
