They were great! Very friendly and always trying to help. They even help me for early check in. Its very central, close to everywhere and there are lots of restaurant around. Well, I can’t explain how great the view was from my balcony(also they have terrace for all the guests)… I deffinetly recommend this place.(small recommendation though; if they had a coffee machine at least at the reception we could buy coffee would be great. Would be nice to have a coffee in the morning at my balcony.)

Very pleasant stay. Really great location right opposite the antique market and shopping district and not too far from the metro. Rooms and bathroom were a little tight, but adequate for us. Bigger towels and maybe the option of an extra pillow would have been a nice touch, but most hotels are similar. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice location and we could see the Acropolis from our room balcony. Rooftop also is a perfect place to watch at night.

Easy check-in & check-out, the balcony room has an amazing view, location is great

The staff was so welcoming. They helped us out with transportation, and things to do. The rooftop is amazing and it is in a great location. Great view of the Acropolis. Loved that there was a water cooler to fill out bottles. Definitely recommend.

Close to everything, 5-15 minutes from agora, parks, acropolis, etc. Met super nice girls in the room and the view was spectacular. Cheap dining and breakfast less than two blocks away and the guy at the reception gave us a great recommendation for a bakery to try! Within two blocks of the square that hosts a market, a flea market, the city centre Main Street and the metro station that leads to the airport. Couldnt be asked for a better stay for that value. Our room (women’s) had its own bathroom with was very comfortable to use.

Had a beautiful view of the Acropolis from the terrace

Basic room right in the centre, had a lovely roof terrace. Bathroom is in the room, shower, sink and toilet. AC was in one corner above one of the beds so was too cold for that person and was switched off. No plug sockets or lamps by the beds and one wardrobe and small draw to share with 6 people.
2.0
Very poorly maintained. Shower and bathroom basically a closet, very humid despite limited AC. Bed sheets were terrible and thin. Tons of street trash immediately outside front door.

The location is good and that's about it. The property details list having laundry facilities which they don't have so that's false advertising.

Better than expected. I arrived very late at night, nice person at reception. Bed was cozy and quiet. I plan to return

I THINK IF IT HAD AN AREA, FOR SELF CATERING IT WOULD BE VERY CONVINIENT!

For what I paid it surpassed my expectations. Passports are documented to provide evidence of who you are. Then you’re not getting in at anytime unless you prove you’re staying there. Very safe. The staff were helpful. Rooms were basic but amazing views.

I really recommended this hostel. All works perfectly and I will stay longer here.

The staff was beyond friendly and very helpful. Markos is very personable and made us feel right at home. The property was well worth the money!

The most helpful staff was a standout feature. Being just a one block walk to the agora didn’t hurt either. And of course a view of the lighted Parthenon from our little deck was spectacular!
The downside of Pella included the large community rubbish containers in front of the entrance, which were noisily emptied each morning, and the nightlife in the area, which my earplugs never quite stilled.
But I would stay there again in a heartbeat. It was a real bargain.

Washroom shower was not great also it was covered in salt white. There was no shampoo or shower gel. But I love the fact it was clean, great customer service at desk, love the air conditioner as I was travelling in July plus the roof top bar was good. It’s good if you are just planning to store luggage have a good sleep and shower - I was exploring entire time so I only needed this place to crash at night and get some rest !

The location of this hostel is it’s top point for me - right in the middle of the action of athens and ideal if you’re here to see about the city and it’s history, it’s near to an excellent gyros place called Sabbas (Savvas) that I will probably miss. There are some things missing that a typical hostel might have just because it’s a hotel conversion, more plugs so there is one per bed at least, a kitchen, a communal area (other than the rooftop), lockers inside the rooms etc but nothing that made me not enjoy my time. Chris at the bar is a nice guy, reception staff are happy to answer questions and are friendly, and the air conditioning is really good! Cleaning daily but this is an older property so have reasonable expectations of conditions and you’ll be fine.

Once you arrived the greating is awesome, excellent location with a lot of option to eat. Monasteraki sq is pretty close.

While I agree with the reviews that talked about it being noisy, I was in a balcony room which faced the main street (which was very noisy, especially at night). The view was the same as what can be seen from the rooftop bar, so when I book again, I would choose a non-balcony room to cut down on noise level.
Room was clean and comfortable. Aircon didn't seem to work, but it wasn't terribly hot, so I didn't bother to say anything.
Location is FANTASTIC! 5 minutes walk to Monistiraki Square, a couple minutes to the Ahora. Great restaurants all around. A couple of reviews mentioned it being a bad area. Athens is just a dirty, graffiti filled city, and this is no different. I never felt unsafe, and I'm a single woman who was traveling alone.
I will definitely book here again next time in Athens. Very affordable.

The staff are lovely and friendly. The room was much cleaner than I was expecting and the bed was comfy. The only thing I can really mark them down on was the toilet seat was not attached to the toilet when I arrived and one of the plug sockets was hanging out of the wall. Other than that it was a nice room for the price I paid, it was also comfy and easy to sleep in. The view from the hotel roof was really nice too

Great staff and great location. Older property and not in perfect shape as expected.

The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They made pleasant conversation and both aided us in booking taxis and printing boarding passes. The room was clean and contained basic amenities (towels, plug points, tv, en suite with soap). A bin other than in the bathroom would have been useful. A minor downside was that our 'private twin en-suite with balcony' was very small. The roof terrace was a pleasant place to enjoy a drink with an amazing view in the company of other guests at the hostel. However, the bar was closed throughout our stay meaning we brought our own cans in. The biggest problem was the noise from the bar directly over the road. Every night they had loud live music that began at 11pm and lasted till 2-3am. The volume was so high that, despite the double glazed window/doors of our room being shut and wearing ear-plugs, sleep was still impossible. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay where you intend to have a good night's sleep throughout the early hours you should not book this hostel. I can understand the frustration of the hostel staff as the situation was entirely out of their control.

The Check in was Normal. Afterwards Sitting in Front of Checkin Setting my Password to my Smart Phones, I was told I Cannot Sit so Long in the Checkin Area. I need to go to my Room. Room Small Not Enough Outlets for 6 People. One Small Table, One Chair. Bathroom Small Could be Cleaner. Rooftop View Very Beautiful. Elevator Small Only Two Person. No Kitchen.
