Lovely spacious room and great, friendly staff.
It is close to one of the dodgier areas of Athens so don’t walk down Satovriandou Street if seeing groups of homeless, drug affected people bothers you.
If you’re getting here via public transport go to Metaxiurgio station and walk that way - you’ll avoid seeing all that stuff plus it’s closer, don’t go to Omonia station walk that way or you’ll end up in the heart of the action!

Neighborhood is remote from the main attractions and a bit sketchy. Fine for a cheap stay but not a first choice.
4.3
We had amazing time there. Georgia and Sarah were always willing to help and guide us when we asked for help with the best attitude. The location of the hotel is convenient, close to the subway station.
4.3
Hotel was good, staff were friendly new rooms but rooms are not very clean it was okey. The worst thing is area specially night times if you walk around a lot of homeless drug addict. Its not makes you feel safe

Great little unit and it was comfortable for a single person.
4.3
Fantastic customer services from every staff member we encountered. Great amenities, location and condition. Would definitely stay again.
4.3
Staff were good, I left something they brought me, but no breakfast and notice about breakfast, I saw a lizard in my room.no coffee shop close or dining to walk, neighborhood was unsafe many drugs dealers, addict homeless ,....

Spent 1 day in Athens and this was perfect
4.3
I was very pleased with my experience at Hotel Tier.
4.3
Great place and very close to a train station and a stop for all the hop on/off tour buses. Staff was really helpful and nice. They recommended perfect nearby restaurants.
One thing I would caution about the area is to not venture out east of the hotel. Pretty sketchy over there. Stick to Psaron street and west of there if you're out for a stroll.
4.3
The property and the staff were excellent. I was offered a bottle of wine at check in and was also able to check in early. There was the metro and several restaurants nearby. My stay was good, but I was told that it was dangerous to walk around there and the streets were very dirty and there were lots of homeless people hanging around. People talked of pick pockets.
4.3
The staff were absolutely amazing and there are convenient transport links to other parts of Athens.
4.3
Wonderful stay. Staff was accommodating and friendly.

It is good

Good spot

Close to a metro station but was warned that the area was so bad, not even police would go there after dark. Made it scary to stay there

had a great stay at this hotel. The place was nice and clean, with friendly staff that made me feel welcome. Its central location was incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore the area.
4.3
The hotel staff was super nice and helpful and the room itself quite big and nice. Only the shower was a bit run down (broken holder, door wasn‘t closing completely) but clean.
The area around the hotel is a little scary due to the number of people around taking drugs. From the station to the hotel it is okay though.
4.3
Staff were very polite, was perfectly located too next to the metro.

My boyfriend and I were in Athens for holiday. Hotel Tier was central, clean, comfortable and very convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Location Location location. Very nice hotel, but the location leave a lot to desire. Watched a couple doing Crack in front of the hotel. The staff was outstanding however. Took care of all the needs we had and always pleasant. If the location was better it would rate a 5⭐️rating. Price was very good also.
4.3
Area around the hotel was surrounded by drug addicts, really bad neighborhood, has to take taxi I was afraid to walk at night.
4.3
Very friendly receptionist. We arrived very early in the morning, they cleanup the room that other people just check-out early and let us check-in right after. When we check-out early at 7am heading to Santorini the next day, The hotel also help us keep some of our luggages for us until we come back later to pickup. Excellent services👍👍

Kind instructions how to get to the hotel. Flexible and easy check in. A nice welcome gift!

We had a great stay in a newly renovated top floor suite with a nice big private balcony. To be a 2-star hotel with reasonable rates we felt this was a bargain. Reception staff was lovely, and always helpful and with big smiles.
The location is a bit dodgy, but the path between the hotel and the metro station is okay with other hotels. However, walking other directions out of the hotel was crowded with homeless people. We still felt safe, but learned quickly where not to go. It’s practical with the metro nearby, and there are nice restaurants and some shops in the area.
Some suggestions that could elevate the stay: Refill of tea and tea-cups during the stay. Some glasses for drinking water. A mosquito net on the window. Better furniture in the big balcony, what about a sunbed? An extra tv in the sofa lounge area of the suite. But all this would maybe not make it a 2-star anymore. Just suggestions for improvement.
We loved the hotel and our stay in Athens, and would book it again next time.

Is in a quiet street & walking distance to the archaeological museum. There is graffiti around as in most of Athens.
I have seen some homeless people but in the Main Street which runs parallel. I have stayed here twice & would again.
4.3
First off I'll just say the hotel stay was OK, the location is good because of the proximity to a metro station and the central tourism areas.
Hotels.com was very deceptive about the description and their photos. The hotel should have been listed as a 1-2 star (definitely not the 3.5* we were expecting). It was old and aging even though they tried to do a bit of a face lift with the rooms. The beds were super hard, and they were stingy on blankets. No free water was given neither, needed to be purchased for 1€. The neighborhood is a bit shady, with a bunch of homeless drug addicts within a couple of blocks. Also the bathroom sink was leaking.
Had we spent more time in the room, we definitely would have changed hotels. But since we only needed a crash pad since we were here to visit Athens we kept it. When checking out, a couple canceled their reservation upon looking at what they were offering.
For the price, it's fine, but HOTELS.COM should be more transparent on what this hotel actually is.
And FYI, you need to request reception to clean the room daily in the morning, otherwise they won't. We learnt that lesson on Day 2.

Room was very small for 3 people and luggage’s. The bathroom has a sewage smell CONSTANTLY and just poor ventilation. So many mosquitoes and ants in the room. We ran out of hot water. The area in which the hotel is in is not clean or safe, we were constantly warned by uber drivers to be extra careful. However, front desk service was very nice and whenever requested for room refresh it was always done.
4.3
Staff very friendly and helpful. Reception is manned 24/7.
4.3
Clean and friendly. Old small hotel in a less desirable neighbourhood
4.3
Although the room was nice, there was a bad old smell inside. Also asked for more pillows and they didn't have any.

Hot water is very weak

Staff excellent

Great price and location. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Close to the train station and some nice local restaurants. Super recommend.
4.3
First the positive, the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately thats the only positive thing to say.
The hotel is worn down and in a bad state with desperate need for refurbishment. Nowhere close to the pictures on the site.
Our bathroom had loads of broken tiles, missing wall mount for the shower head, the sink was half way broken etc. the flooring on the rest of the room was damaged multiple places, and the rest of the room was an old red skin couch and something resembling a desk.
The walls are literally paper thin, and you could hear every person in the hotel come and go from any floor, inside or outside.
The hotel is close to a subway, but in a very bad neighbourhood (and i mean really bad. We saw people shooting heroin just a few blocks away) with a homeless/drug addict gathering/sleeping place just one block away, and a generally very bad vibe from the area. We normally used uber or went straight to the subway to avoid walking in the nearby area.
The price was OK, but the value was nowhere worth it. We looked for other options at the moment we checked in.
Probably overall the worst hotel i have stayed at in what must be many many years.
4.3
I like that they have staff 24/7 - it made me feel safe. The staff is great and very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is near the hop on hop off bus line and near subway. Too bad the neighborhood is a little run down but I felt fairly safe. I did not go out at night.
4.3
Excellent staff, is located on a not so clean area of Athens.

nice hospitality
