Well located, clean, great air conditioning and excellent staff. Down point is the bed quality.

Great situation to explore Naples.

Very pleasant hotel and staff. My only tiny niggle was the tiny shower, a little inconvenient.

It’s fine, but it’s a 20 minute walking distance everywhere, would be fine if it wasn’t so hot outside (August) but maybe easier in a different season. Hotel feels a little 2010, but it works, it’s alright. The temperature regulator taps for the sink and shower is super annoying, a hassle to find correct temperature all the time. The shower only has an above shower and not the handheld one, making my showers extra long with getting conditioner out of my hair and etc.
Lovely guy with glasses at breakfast who knows what coffee I want and brings it as soon as he sees me, no need to ask or anything he just knows.

This was a fine place to lay my head for the evening. The gnocchi from room service was AMAZING. But it is not in a great area, the rooms are extremely small, and the staff was overwhelmed at the front desk. I would not walk around this area after dark!!

We couldn’t get there because of the IT outage. They refused to refund a penny of our missed holiday. Total lack of empathy. A cancellation fee would have been understandable but they kept all our money, and most likely still filled the room. To be avoided.

The property was in a near perfect location for our needs, as we had to be close to the port. We arrived slightly early, though it was clear others had too. The receptionist was rude and the check-in experience was only saved by her colleague who stepped in to help. We booked a Junior Suite that was not clean. The walls were scuffed and the curtains were dirty (too light to be practical!) and the bathroom needed a deep clean. Circulation areas were okay but not clean. The room was comfortable enough. Bar service in the evening was slow. Breakfast was good. During our Check-out the concerns I raised were picked up. We were offered four small pastries as recompense. 2€ worth -really?! We left them. One to avoid unless you are really stuck

Very clean and safe once inside the building! No complaints on the hotel itself. The area around was very sketchy for two 30 yo girls.

This was a nice place to stay for one night after a long flight. Right across from the port. Clean. Helpful staff.

Overall stay at the hotel was nice, food could have been better. Be cautious of surrounding areas, not the nicest area of Naples.

Very good location and decent room with a comfortable bed. The hotel was also quite close to the first stop of the airport shuttle which made our transfer to the airport quite convenient. Only downside was that we had to ring the reception everytime we enter the hotel. I would definitely recommend this place anyway.
2.5 / 5.0
The hotel is beautiful and high end as the service is so professional and the decor so chic. The breakfast had plentiful options. Cleanliness was absolute. However, the location is not great as there is not much to do walking distance and the neighborhood looks a bit shady.

Great place to stay. Very convenient for trains and ferries

The hotel is fantastic, clean, comfy, great service from all of the staff. There is very little around the hotel in terms of dining and the area is a little rundown with lots of rubbish in streets and graffiti etc. However the hotel is convenient from the tram a short 5 minute walk to the main station and opposite the ferry port going to Sorrento and Capri. Excellent value for money.

It was a bland city hotel , the staff were clearly over whelmed by guests
Disappointed that the rooms came with a kettle but no cups and saucers etc although no extra charge for popping downstairs & collecting a cup of tea ..

The internet was soo bad I couldn’t use it for anything

Our stay in Palazzo Salgar was nice, good for the price we paid, it was $168 CAD for the night. We were greeted with very friendly reception, and given a map and info about what to do in the area. Our room was clean, and was provided multiple soaps, vanity sets and shower caps. The property is well maintained, however the area surrounding the hotel is very run down with a lot of abandoned buildings and shops. The only thing I would say was subpar was our food at the hotel restaurant, I ordered a ham sandwhich and my partner a seafood rissoto. His meal was ok for 8€ but my 5€ ham sandwich was so bad I couldn’t finish it…I’ve had better sandwiches from a vending machine. Overall, good hotel for a quick stay in Naples.

Nice welcome at reception desk, my room wasnt so good but they changed it immediately.
Breakfast below usual standards for a 4*.
Hotel Location not great - Its by the Port area which was pretty run down, there is a sea view on some rooms over the port. About a 15 minute walk to the old town area of Naples.

From the outside the property is impressive, but does sit in a very run down area with no good views in any direction. The docks are directly infront of the hotel but again these are the commercial goods docks not passenger terminals. Inside the hotel is fine but a little tired in places. The room was a little disappointing given it was a junior suite although not much bigger than a reasonably sized room in any other hotel. Balcony patio was sizable and would clearly be more useful in summer although noting my comment above, still no view to speak of. The bathroom was the biggest let down. Only a bath with a hair washing shower head so if like me you prefer a full shower then it's very inconvenient. There is absolutely no storage/shelving in the bathroom so each day you have to take your stuff in then pack away afterwards. There was also a persistent drain smell. It was however very clean. The staff were all very good and pleasant and the breakfast was great too. Overall it was a good stay.

Great hotel and brilliant location for the port and station. Very nice rooms buildings and facility’s. The area is not the best but for price and location it’s definitely the right choice for what we needed.

Amazing lucky find! The hotel food is amazing! I was surprised but very happy

Hotel is very clean, safe, modern and conveniently located. Less than five minute walk to port, Domo metro station and well stocked reasonable market. Taxi from airport was only 20 euros if you negotiate well
Breakfast was very good with assorted fruits, beverages, eggs, meats and at least TWELVE fabulous types of assorted pastries
Room was spacious and house keeping was friendly, helpful and excellent
Definitely would stay here again and would highly recommend

View of the port not attractive and main road in front very noisy. Trash everywhere except in front of hotel.
Hotel is very nice, clean and staff friendly and accommodating. Free breakfast was very good.

Nice property within walking distance of most areas.
2.5 / 5.0
Walking distance from the port and the historical centre. Good price point in the bar and restaurant of the hotel as there isn't much around it.
2.0 / 5.0
Pretty good overall but seems more like a 3 stars hotel than 4 stars, there’s not even tea or coffee in the room.
Breakfast was nice, location is convenient close to the airport bus, train and metro.

Very beautiful, safe, comfortable place to stay while in Naples.
