I had an amazing experience staying at Lio Villas Resort. The place was clean, peaceful, quiet and had all the amenities guests could hope for. The staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful, polite, attentive and were very accommodating. I highly recommend this resort for anyone who wish to have an incredible experience.

Misleading photos. Property very outdated and not in the best area. Staff and hospitality was great though I did not end up staying there but the staff had pleasure in assisting me in finding a much better hotel which was very much appreciated by them.

I stayed here on August for a solo trip. The staff were very nice and accommodating. I also really loved the room that I stayed in as it was very spacious. The only concern that I had was not being given a discount when the management offered to give me one before I checked in due to the pool being not available. The reason why I booked the hotel despite the location was the pool. Would have appreciated the stay more if they processed the discount or partial refund as they promised but they didn't get back even after 3 months have gone by. Nevertheless, the best thing about the place were the staff.

We had a very good experience at the resort. The food, room, and service was excellent.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff, while mostly new, provided good service. However, the area was a bit inconvenient, since it was located off an unpaved road that you had to constantly rent a tricycle to get around the area. Since tric fare was a bit pricy, the costs added up. Plus, they did not have their own van to provide as transpo for guest to and from the airport.

The property does not have direct access to the beach. You need to walk say…..10-15 minutes to reach beach.

The place is nice (nice bedrooms, nice pool) and staff are nice but there are son issues they need to address.
They do not accept card payments or dollars. We are in the 21st century and this in not a cheap hotel, I don’t think this is acceptable at any descent hotel. How can be possible on this days that a quality hotel does not take card payments. Also we needed to change some reservations and they said the only have incoming calls not outgoing. Im talking about local calls. Hope they fix that as well.
Also the hotel is on a very bumpy road and a little far from El Nido (It has a very nice beach close by though, Lio Beach) some times tuk tuks don’t want to take you there or they charge you more. I don’t think they can do much about it.
I still believe this is a nice hotel, just hope they fix this issues. Just be aware if you decide to stay.

The place was very nice. The staff were super accomodating and very hospitable. The only issue was proximity. It was far from the town proper, appoximately 20 to 30 minutes away, and the tricycle fares were a little bit expensive (400 roundtrip). The road going to the hotel from the main road was a rough road (less than 10 minute rough road). There was a frog and a worm swimming in the pool at night. One hanger was broken and the phone wasnt working in our room. But overall, im still a happy customer.

Best hotel so far in the Philippines!Staff was lovely and very Accommodating. It’s quite far from the city but we just rented a scooter and were driving from hotel to town (so much fun!!) be careful the street is a little bumpy, but we looked forward for some adventure;) I would definitely recommend the hotel especially for couples and groups of friends maybe not the best place for single travelers however if you need some me time best place!!!

The staff are super friendly and helpful and the food was good enough. However, while the rooms look nice and modern, the cleanliness needs work. There was something about the bedsheets that made us itchy and I ended up waking up to a lot of bites. Not 100% sure if they were from the sheets though because my doc said they were sandfly bites, but I guess the sheets aggravated them cuz they only appeared the next day. We only stayed here for one night as well after our flight got cancelled. Getting to the hotel at night was also scary as hell, there’s hardly any street lights to begin with and google maps shows you two lio locations, one of which was wrong.

Its a really nice little resort located close to El Nido airport, about 15 minutes drive from El Nido town. Simple but comfortable native-style rooms with aircon, TV etc. Restaurant has a large menu and the food is very good. Staff are super-friendly.

The staff at Lio Villas were exceptional. Theyre very kind and down to earth and will do everything in their power to make your stay a great one. Breakfast was included in our stay and that was also delicious! Also, renting a moped from them to travel into town was quick and effortless. The road towards Lio Villas is very bumpy however, and is sometimes difficult to find, as you have to turn into a residential road to get there. But, after a few trips to the town, you get the hang of it. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks to Ivan, McNeil and Walter for a great stay!

My fiance and I flew into to El Nido on Air Swift. This was a great experience and saved doing a 6 hour van ride twice. I recommend it.The hotel arranged for pickup at the airport. The pickup was on time and the ride was only a short trip to the hotel. Most transportation in El Nido is by a motorized tricycle. This is a rather interesting mode of transportation but works well for the area. It is just a little bumpy and noisy. We were greeted by friendly hotel staff and they remained this way the entire time. They were very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. They helped arrange tours and we even rented a scooter from them one day which is a great way to explore the area and town. Breakfast was included and very good. Dinners at the hotel were tasty also.Depending on the person the distance from town could be a good thing or bad thing. We liked how peaceful it was. The area is quiet but about a 20 minute ride from town. This will cost 200 pesos by tricycle. They have a strict cleaning/damage policy. I suggest they revisit it. My fiance was having her period and we accidentally got a small amount of blood on two pieces of bedding. Nothing major and some hydrogen peroxide would have cleaned it right up. We were charged 1600 pesos (approximately $30 usd) for this. This seems excessive but the policy is clearly printed on the door. If this would not have happened I would have rated 5 stars.Overall it was a good experience.

We arrived at our hotel after an extremely bumpy ride in a tricycle. The hotel is situated in a very poor part of el nido which is 15 mins tricycle ride. The road to the hotel is not a sealed road. I knew that the hotel was situated out of town but there was no mention of the poor condition of the road. We were shown to our room, we were informed that our toilet didn't flush and we would need to pour water with a bucket down it each time we went to the toilet. We were offered no alternative, i guess as the hotel was full with only 8 rooms there was no room to swap to. We were not offered compensation in any way, we just had to make do. As much as the hotel situation wasn't ideal and the non flushing toilet, the staff were excellent, very friendly and eager to help. The breakfast was great too, only about 8 choices but each meal was freshly cooked and delicious.

There was an issue with retrieving my booking upon check-in. Really something I didn't want to go through after travelling almost 6 hours to get to the hotel from Puerto Princesa. However, after some time it was resolved. Honestly, more dissapointed because I didn't want the first encounter with staff to begin on a negative note. On a lighter perspective, the hotel was like a hidden oasis. Really enjoyed the place. It's away from all the chaos of tourist but a short ride to beaches and hotspots.

The place is nice, the staff was absolutely terrible and SLOW. They wanted gave us a scooter on rent with a high price and I had to return it because it wasn't working properly. Furthermore they sent us to a Tour where the ship was broken and where we get food poisoning. A place like this should have much more reliable partners. Even worst when we asked for a doctor or a medicine after been vomiting 3 times in a raw and couldn't move because of the fever the answer was: get some coke or some water with lemon and you will feel better! Ahahahh what a joke!! We needed to pray them to get some Imodium! And we have been told that wasn't any doctor around when infact there was a medical centre open 24h. For what we pay (and it was a lot for Philippines) you can find much better places and in the centre of El Nido. I don't wanna even talk about the bartender. One morning he took 40min for 2 fruits shakes. Very bad experience that ruined my and my wife holiday.

It takes about 10-15 minutes bike ride to get to the town center so if you're looking for a conveniently located place to stay then this is not the place for you. For us, this resort was a perfect place for the very same reason as we didn't want to stay at the town center. The staff, especially Walter and McNiel, are extremely friendly, helpful and nice. Good wifi connection in the room and restaurant area. There was a power cut one evening but the staff quickly sorted out the issue by switching on the generator. Swimming pool is open 24 hours. There is a security guard at night. Bed is super comfortable and room is clean (the cleaners did a good job at cleaning and tidying up our room while we were away so kudos to them!). It seems like they have a limited number of hair dryers so ask for one as soon as you check-in and do remind them if it isn't available on that day. There are some geckos, insects, mozzies and chickens (there was a crowing competition every day) in the resort so if you're a light sleeper, take your ear plugs and mozzie spray.

This was hands down the best place we stayed on Palawan. It is small, about 8 rooms and quiet. The staff is so helpful and polite. There is a big open air reception/dining area immediately upon entry, and the owner constantly has an awesome laid back playlist humming through the resort. The place was new and meticulously kept with attention to detail. The bathroom was amazing with a great shower. The room was large and the bedding was nice. We did not see any bugs or geckos in the room at any point during our stay, and the AC had a remote control which was helpful. Food from the restaurant was delicious! The hotel is a little out of town (not even 10 mins) but any trike will still drop you off and it is well worth the drive. It's just beautiful!!
