I blame myself for not researching the rooms at Bunk and Brew more thoroughly.
Bunk and Brew seems like a happening and friendly place for travelers looking for a cheap, communal experience. We were looking for a downtown stay (we are local and we’re looking for a short staycation). Bunk and Brew was the least expensive downtown choice (still it cost 189.00 per night) we selected a private room, not realizing the bathroom was shared :(
To summarize: Great youth hostel, not-so- great for older people hotel.

It was a terrible looking place I walked out and found another place to stay.

So cute, cozy, clean, and friendly. Very fair price for all the amenities as well. Absolutely loved it and will definitely book again.

Not what I expected. But I didn’t hate it! It was nice. Although. I’m underage and that didn’t seem relevent 😂

The accomodations were welcoming. All of the staff was helpful and cordial, especially Cory, a gentlemanly English lad, who gave me a tour of the building and gardens. My single occupant room was secure, uncluttered and clean. The shared: living rooms; bathrooms; laundry room; kitchen and sauna are clean and well organized. This will be my regular haunt in Bend, Oregon, as I felt right at home and it is an accessible walk to amphitheaters, coffee shops and grocery.

The most expensive hostel that I’ve ever been to. Would I be a jerk if I give only one star rating?

This is an interesting "outside the box" type of place to stay the night.

Looked like a homeless camp, sketchy area. Waited for”hosted” to wait another customer and myself.
I did get a refund of nearly all of the fees. Told her I’d like this place 50 years ago. Pretty rough!

I checked in which was no problem. The worker was friendly gave me a tour. But went out and came back and had to park up the street. So no parking on site. The house wasn’t very clean. The house was hot and loud. The bathrooms were gross. I left at 2:00 in the morning and went some where else. I’ve stayed at several hostels but this is one of the worst ones I’ve ever been too.

Great and cozy stay. It can be challenging to find places that accommodate dogs. We were so happy to be able to bring our dog to celebrate my bday weekend together!! Thank you

As hostels go, it was nice enough. I stayed in the house next door. It was loud until pretty late, but what can you expect from a place that advertises to be a brewery? (The brew was a free can of beer they offered you at the door. after that, they were $4 each) Parking was limited in their unpaved parking lot, after that it is street parking and you have to move your car early to avoid a ticket. The people running it were trying hard to please, but they may have been sampling their brews - they called me twice after I checked in to verify who I was.

It was a great short stay with amazing people! Stay comes with breakfast in the morning which was prepared by another guest because they’re lovely people. To keep with the spirit of giving I made two more people breakfast. Accommodations came with conversational topics in depths I had not expected to reach. I’d stay again and wish to check out some live music next time!

Thought we had our own bathroom with our room but had to share. They kept them very clean, though. Noisy at night, but awesome music on Saturday night outside. It was an experience!

The staff were very courteous, the "Yard" was fantastic, and it's a quick 5 minute walk to the downtown core. Oh, and a "check in beer" will beat check in cookies any day!

I liked the friendly people staying here and the staff. What could be improved is a cleaner kept kitchen, more food items including bagels, yogurt and fruit for breakfast. The sleeping worked out fine, shared a room with another guest. I really liked the sauna and the shower facility which was separate from the main house, but not an issue. Some more updated couches would be a big improvement.

The welcoming staff and procedure were fabulous! The free beer as a welcome gift was from a large selection of craft beer, which seemed perfectly appropriate, considering the location (Bend!). The room was nice with a comfortable bed. We didn’t spend any time in the kitchen because there were so many awesome vegan restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. We also spend lots of time exploring the trails within walking/short drive distance to this location. It was such a great area, we spent a second night.

I love this hostel! It’s walking distance to downtown Bend, always cleaned up, and fun patio with plenty of room to chill. I slept very well on the twin bed. Someone stole my charger, but there are lockers if you’re concerned that this will happen to you. I liked the other guests, but it would be fun if there were some older guests, too. Mostly college kids were there. The personalized check-in and out is wonderful though! I loved the hostel tour I got.

Stayed in a private room. Cute place, excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely stay there again if passing through Bend. Looks like it'd be a neat place for an extended adventure stay.

This is an amazing little gem. While it's a fav with the hikers, bikers and climbers - there's also accommodations for the relaxed boomers who want a break from the sameness of a Marriott. Location is second to none. Staff is warm, genuine and welcoming. Other guests are a source of wonder conversations.
