It's cool that they have a dedicated small museum to the Eurovision movie filmed there.
The staff was super friendly.

Clean room with everything we needed. Breakfast was a plus!

The bed was very comfortable and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Husavik is a cute village and had a wonderful meal at the harbor.

The hotel has a marina view as well as a view of the mountains across the bay. In a very quiet neighborhood it is close to restaurants and the companies that offer whale watching as well as the famous church. The room was the largest we had been in so far in Iceland. Able to spread out and accommodate luggage. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was fairly large. Free parking out front which
was nice. Hotel staff were ok but nothing exceptional. Breakfast was ok offering standard Iceland foods. Seating area awash large and in a library which made it more cozy.
Highly recommend for stays in Husavik.

Really nice and convenient hotel to visit Husavik. It's a walkable distance to all the attractions (including the GeoSea thermal spa) and the Eurovision Museum.
Nice service, rooms are big and clean.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Everyone was so pleasant and helpful! The room was great! And next door the Ja Ja Ding Dong was very fun and cool! 10/10 would recommend!

The young man at the front desk helped us with our luggage upstairs and gave us a warm welcome to the hotel and surrounding area.
The room was very clean and had plenty of room with a nice ledge on the window sill to place luggage and other things as needed.
The hotel is located in a safe, quiet area of Husavik and we enjoyed walking down the hill to town - such a picturesque and tranquil town!

Easy check-in. Walk everywhere. Jaja Ding Dong bar is connected.

This hotel was a bit of a surprise. Rooms were clean and modern. Breakfast was good. Assistance provided to take suitcase upstairs to room - no elevator. Quirky little garden. Parking available, with overflow over road. A must do is to go into the Eurovision Song Contest museum in building next door - free entry for hotel guests.

A hotel at the edge of town with a view to the harbor. The room was on the small side but clean and the bed was super comfy. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also fine. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

Loved the view of the harbour and the bar next door. It was also extremely close to our whale watching meeting spot .

Our stay was amazing and couldn’t have asked for a better time. The Eurovision museum was awesome and the drinks at Ja Ja Ding Dong bar had the best drinks!

Very good situation. Bathroom quite old. Breakfast ok.

Nice roomy hotel. Great location which makes getting to the Whale watching easy.

The overhead lights in our room did not work. There was no one at the front desk, ever. While there was a phome number to call, we have been unable to make a call inside Iceland since arriving from the US. Otherwise, the room and property were clean, quiet and.conveniently located.

Great location and near Geosea!

We had a pleasant one-night stay in the quirky, but brilliant, multi-level family room. Really clean and comfortable. Breakfast included (in the adjoining resteraunt) and you have to walk through the Eurovision Exhibition to get to it. 👍
Would definitely stay here in th future.

The hotel has a great location with a view over the harbor and parking in front. The staff was wonderful. We'd definitely stay here again.

My husband and I found the movie Eurovision Song Contest: Story of Fire Saga during the dark months of COVID. It quickly became a favorite feel good movie for us. When I started to plan for my husband's birthday, I decided "We're going to Iceland!" We rented a car to drive from Reykjavik to see this little gem (5 1/2 hours drive each way). I cannot say enough about this town and this little hotel.
First, we drove up on a Wednesday not really thinking about many things being closed during the week for the winter months. We wanted to see the movie sights, so we didn't really mind (and the town is very small). Things are mostly open Thurs - Sun. We got to the hotel and I cannot say enough good about it. While the Jaja Ding Dong bar was closed, we told the manager why we were there. He told us to go get some dinner before the only restaurant open closed and to come back. He was so gracious. He opened up the bar and made delicious drinks for us, played the soundtrack and allowed up to tour the exhibit of items from the actual Eurovision contest and the movie. Many sights from the movie can be seen from the hotel so he pointed everything out to us. The town's people were so amazing. We visited to the GeoSpa, which was also awesome and 1/2 a mile from the hotel. For what this hotel maybe lacks in "updates" it more than makes up for in kindness and hospitality. Ask for room 201 to have an incredible view. Best birthday/honeymoon trip EVER.

Decent hotel. Lots of flies (but common in that area in summer). Breakfast food was okay, nothing special. Kind staff and clean facilities, can’t complain. Fun little Eurovision bar next door.

Excellent stay in a family room for five people. The staff was friendly and the lounge allowed us to hang out as a family. And the jajadingdong bar was of course a plus…!

Fantastic!!! Great service. Clean. Quiet. Walkable. Great restaurant onsite. Stay here when in town for a whale watch tour!

The beds were two separate beds. We could hear everything that went on outside our room like the other guests were with us in the room not sitting in the dining area.

Husavik was a charming little town and Cape Hotel was a great place to stay. Plenty of coffee in the dining room and the breakfast was enough to keep us going all the sightseeing we wanted to do. Shower was hot and our room had a towel warmer, which was a nice touch.
2.5
Cheerful and responsive staff. Honest in catching and refund billing mistake before I had a chance to see it. Good breakfast and a great view of the harbor, with lots to do within walking distance in the town, to include a great whale watching trip.

The hotel staff were very helpful. It is an easy walk into the centre of town and to the new geothermal spa Geosea.
