The property is nice but slightly dated. Its location is in a “food desert” as there were few alternatives to dining within 1/2 mile. The restaurant options were limited as well. They were unable to provide me a lunch item for dinner. Not sure I would recommend.

Perfect place for a solo stay. Will absolutely be returning. Ali at Hau Tree was so wonderful each morning at breakfast. Perfect views and very walkable.

This was a fantastic hotel. We were treated royally. They let us into our room early, provided great service, and gave us a complimentary extended hour checkout. The view was incredible. The room had a great layout. Resort fee was well worth it for the amenities. Will definitely come back and stay longer. It felt like a private beach.

Beachfront property, it’s beautiful and conveniently located.

Average hotel in a nice area. The hotel room was rather dated and not much to be excited about. We booked this hotel knowing it was a cheap option, but still seemed lower quality than expected. The shower took ~10 minutes to heat up. The surrounding are was nice, about a 20 minute walk to the start of the populated areas with dining and shops. So if you don’t enjoy walking a ton, better off staying in the heart of Waikīkī.
*** We only parked our car using the hotel valet 2 nights, BUT they charged us for all 5 nights. Be careful with that and pay attention to your post stay bill. I had to call and get it refunded ***
Overall, would’ve stayed somewhere else for the ease of eating and less walking and slightly nicer room.

Beachfront. Parking on street overnight & during daytime hit or miss. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Beach towels & beach chairs. Need umbrellas. Staff superior. Housekeeping very attentive. Safe area and outside beach area felt safe. Late summer rate is good.

Charming setting, friendly staff and quiet setting. We were surprised that coffee makers aren’t automatically provided in the rooms. The outside shower foot wash was broken the entire week.

This Hotel is located at the end of the Waikiki strip..It’s more relaxing down here and has a more chill vibe than the hustle and bustle of Waikiki..It’s close enough to engage the restaurants and beautiful beaches..This place has a old Hawaiian vibe to it..The staff are lovely and right out back is the beautiful ocean..Definitely return again and highly recommend staying..I love the park across the street for body weight training with dip and pull-up bars..

What an amazing trip and a gorgeous hotel. The property itself has a small feel to it but it being beachfront when so few places in waikiki are was a huge plus when it came to decisions. We booked a diamondhead corner room and it was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was large and the view.. well the view was just amazing. With chairs on the balcony we could sit and enjoy our coffee and look out on the Diamond Head crater. The hotel charges a modest resort fee but the offerings for the fee make it well worth it with included classes, bike rentals, beach chairs and towels you won't find any place like this.

Excellent location right on the beach, friendly staff and excellent housekeeping. I had a super small room that had not been updated, first room was extremely noisy and the entire room shook, I had to change rooms. Restaurants is overpriced. Great spot to be right on the beach and away from busy Waikiki. But overpriced in my opinion. Did not receive any benefits with VIP access which was disappointing.

For the short stay, it was an excellent. I wish there was a microwave in the room.

The location of this hotel is great but everything else was mediocre. Parking is $40/night for valet or you can self park on the street and a daily resort fee of $25/day for random activities you can sign up for each day. Fortunately, we were able to find parking during our stay. The good: location is literally right on the beach, the free water refill stations, the rooms was really nice with a balcony, and the convenience store right downstairs. The bad: it looks like they've done some renovations but the hallways were just so awful and smelly. No decor, always had a strange smell and theres only one ice machine on the 8th floor. I paid extra for an ocean view corner room but I was mislead and didn't realize there's a crappy version of that and it wasn't quite what I imagined. All in all, the location was great but I wouldn't stay here again, especially considering the medicore amenities and smelly hallway.

The hotel itself was great! The surroundings were a little bit out of my comfort zone but overall, if you’re looking to be close to the city life and the beach.. this is a great spot!
There is a convenience store right down the way of the parking lot which helped when we wanted something for late night!

The view was amazing, hau tree restaurant downstairs was great as well. Definitely recommend if its your first time cause it can be expensive.

We love the Kaimana (New Otani) and have stayed there many times over the years. Love the location away from Waikiki. Some upgrades have been made to the rooms and the amenities are great! Chairs, sunscreen, and sparkling water is a great addition. Had a problem with loud noise (like a helicopter landing) from the rooftop AC on the 9th floor but we were able to change rooms which was much appreciated. The staff are great! aloha.

Being off the main strip was a wonderful change. The scenery is beautiful, the walk to Waikiki is easy, and the surrounding parks are enjoyable. Our only issue was the menu- very limited

This place was perfect except for the bed. It was the softest bed I’ve ever slept it. I felt like I was sleeping in a marshmallow. That might have been ok but there were clear indentations where people slept and sat on the side of the bed. The view was spectacular though.

Overall the staff were helpful although we had one poor experience. The room was ok but the balcony needed a lick of paint. The location was as expected with a partial view of the sea.

It was away from all the hustle of Waikiki

I like the fact that my room has a balcony by request with a sea view.Room too small no coffee machine or microwave and also the fact the small refrigerator was hidden in the drawer where the clothes belonged. For the price I paid each night I was expecting more.

It was a nice place to stay. Very clean
Rooms are small but view is great. Dont like the idea of having to call for extra towels, or water. No coffee maker and a mocrowave would have been nice. Restaurant food was very good but a bit pricey

Our stay at Kaimana Beach Hotel was absolutely wonderful, a 5 . The location of, and views from, the hotel were perfect; our room was spacious, spotless, and super comfortable. I had the pleasure of dining at the hotel restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience - delicious food, excellent service, and a gorgeous view. Finally, your staff was exceptional; every single person we had the pleasure of interacting with was helpful, friendly, lovely, and a true testament to the Aloha spirit. Thank you for helping to make our Hawaiian vacation the trip of a lifetime!!! Mahalo and a hui hou. 💜

A beautiful hotel and very comfortable bed and room. The convenience to the beach is only footsteps away. Very quiet property. We loved being away from the hectic business I’d Waikiki Beach and the beautiful park just across the street. On the other hand, the cocktails were terrible. We had the worst mai tai ever after many trips to Hawaii and enjoying numerous mai tais elsewhere four of us agreed they were absolutely terrible. Not your typical 1944 mai tai.
