Great property! The bar in the check-in lobby made amazing drinks and always had great bartenders with friendly smiles. Everything was super clean, and all the staff was great.

Regret choosing this resort for my honeymoon. Sheets, sink and swim out were dirty. Didn't have the vegan options as stated on the menu. However, Miguel the chef at the steakhouse was amazing.

Not enough food options in the secret side as well as not enough dancing options or entertainment on this side . We also believe we had bed bugs as we got all bit all over the body .

Estefana helped us each day with questions and all our bookings she was fantastic
Luis who was in charge of Rosewater for dinner made sure we had everything we needed every hour during our private dinner

The food was horrible! We stayed 5 nights and didn’t enjoy any of the restaurants. It was always hot inside the restaurant the facility kept the ac off.

One of my favorite resorts I've been to! Amazing food, especially for an all inclusive. Great staff. Easy to walk around the resort.

The staff, everyone where so friendly snd nice. The room was beautiful and food in buffet and Italian restaurant was excellent. The only down side ocean water not safe to swim and so food in other restaurant need more season. We had a happy anniversary and reconnected. Thank you for a blessed time.

The property feels old and dirty. The moisture almost made me slip while walking. I stayed here years ago and realized this was the same terrible property. I will never stay here again. It's not worth the five-star rating it has.!

Little bit less than I’m used to and expected from Secrets property. But the all the staff courtesy and professionalism made up the little disappointment I had especially the manager Carlos. Very nice and calm explaining the situation and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable.

The property is very damp and slippery please be careful. However, the staff were friendly and professional. I would encourage everyone to try the hydrotherapy at the Spa.

Decent resort. Not as good as the others we’ve been to in Mexico. Not worth the money we spent in my opinion. Pros: Best view we’ve ever had from the room. They use the boxes you can put dishes and towels in or request food etc which we LOVE. Cons: But very windy & salty. My contacts dried up after walking on the beach for about 5 seconds. Seaweed in May was so bad they had crews working Sun up to sun down the whole 9 days we stayed. Food was lackluster. Room service food was pretty gross. Most of the restaurants were uncomfortably hot for me and flys were inside. Jacuzzi tub didn’t work when we arrived. After 3 hours hanging out with the repair guy, they fixed it. Construction sounds were heard in the room 24/7 so we blasted white noise in order to sleep. Construction is next door and just normal maintenance too. One morning we woke up due to a lot of noise directly outside our room. We opened the door and a whole paint crew was there laughing and painting our freaking door and the walls and everything so we had to shimmy by everything covered in wet paint to get breakfast. In May it’s really hot. One night the AC went out and we almost melted it was so unbearably hot. One of the concierge employees was a jerk. And most of the servers and waiters were not great. (We had one really great waitress at the Italian place & one really great server by the Secrets pool.) There was a hotel staff member that walked right into the room and saw me naked (do not disturb light on)

It's like they've never had an entire team meeting... so everyone is on the same page...
The staff was nice, the room was beautiful and all but
1. If you are planning to get married here dont the months of April-Sep because the seaweed is horrible. You can smell it.
2. They SAY they are a dog friendly resort. But they are not. You can't leave the dog alone in the room and they tell you, that you can eat at the outdoor restaurants. But non of the restaurants will let you eat OUTDOORS with the dog. Make it make sense.
3. They dont allow you to workout unless you have sneakers in the gym. I'm a minimalistic packer, taking sneakers to place like this isn't necessary. Just have people sign a waiver because not being able to work out was a bummer.
4. When we checked out, we had to go back and get some "check out" paper. Why didn't we just get it the moment we checked out the 1st time?
5. The only snack by the pool is pizza... more options would of been great.
The staff was friendly and help full but nobody is on the same page.
I would never go back.

A ton of seaweed on the beach which stretched the entirety of property making it impossible to get into ocean.

Group of 8 of us just returned from 1 week of stellar service that always delivered with a smile. We had an absolute blast and a half at Secrets/Breathless Riviera Cancun and cannot wait to return! Much thanks for helping 3 of us celebrate our April birthdays!

This is a fantastic choice for couples or friends aged 25+.
Entertainment: Perfect blend of party (when you want it) and peace and luxury when you don't.
Staff: Attentive, polite, and fun.
Drinks: Plentiful and everywhere.
Food: For an all-inclusive they did pretty well. The morning breakfast was fantastic.
Length: I would recommend 6 nights 5 days.
Notes: Bring your own hairdryer. Bring enough cash so you don't need to use the ATM. I think it charged around $120 to take out $1,000.
Tips: There is no requirement or expectation of tips - however, I strongly advise tipping $3-5 per meal and $1-2 per drink. Don't forget to support the Housekeepers and others you might find helpful along the way. I also find it's to your advantage to give a nice tip to start with your bartender and they will take care of you.
Summary: If you are looking for the Cancun experience without a bunch of 18 year olds running around vomiting on everything this is your place. The median age when we were there was probably 45, however I think any age from 25-90 would have a fantastic vacation here.

Everything was awesome. The only issue I faced was the long duration of time it took to bring the food in the restaurant. Every time we ordered, it took a while to receive it and I noticed many people giving up on waiting longer to get their food. Another thing was the location of the place. It was far from the highway and other stores, and it was impossible to go anywhere on foot. Taking a taxi was the only option, otherwise, everything was perfect.

The property stay was a 10/10. I enjoyed every minute of it. I will definitely be coming back.

The rooms are very beautiful and the property is well kept. It is great to be able to go to Breathless as well. All of the staff was so nice and attentive! There are lots of food options so don’t be afraid to try other restaurants or dishes. The food was not very great but there was a couple of meals to make up for it like the burgers at Rosewater. The drinks are great but I do not like alcohol so if you think you’ll get drunk you will not lol! Being at Secrets is the perfect balance between relaxation and party.

This property was very clean and quiet you couldn’t even tell it was a club next or the other side will definitely stay again

This property is pretty small and everything is in close walking distance. You do have access to the Breathless resort next door, which is also very close in walking distance. Food was good, better than most all-inclusives. Quiet property. Not a lot of night entertainment. Relaxing.

The staff was amazing!! So helpful and kind! Our room was a swim out ocean front view. It was fantastic! Used it everyday. The food was just not on par for our taste and the beach had a lot of seaweed. We had a wonderful time though.

Secrets does such a great job of training their staff. We really appreciate the care and attention they have for every guest. Amazing staff take care of our every need and want. We would like to say thanks to the following people: Concierge Kenia
Pool—Mar & Cruz; Luis & Letti @ Preferred club bar; Silk-David & Herman; Rosewater—Darcy, Alberto, Jose, David

We have stayed at many world of hyatt(formerly AMR resorts) including this one. This was our second time there. This time our bed was old and sagged and needed to be updated, hot water did not get super hot, but was warm enough to take showers and the food/drinks were acceptable but not amazing

We have visited this place the last three years in a row. Absolutely perfect.

The staff was excellent. The drinks are watered down and premium liquor they don’t have or the brands they do have you will get charged extra. The food was okay, nothing to brag about neither was the room, attention to detail was missing throughout the room/property. Nice resort just not the luxury I was looking for. Overall it was just okay.

We had a lovely stay at Secrets! The staff truly make everything enjoyable and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is great. Want to especially call out Mar who served us poolside, Louis who poured us drinks in the preferred club and Christian who helped us almost everyday at breakfast in the buffet. They made our stay special.
Food at all the restaurants was great, lots of different options and the ability to explore the breathless pools and activities made it so there was always something fun to do. Especially enjoyed being able to escape the party on the breathless side and enjoy some quiet relaxation at the secrets pool. Will definitely be back.

I love the property. We had a lot of fun! We liked that you can go to Breathless side as well.
The shiny desserts were not the best, I would prefer flan, fresas con crema, Platanos Fritos….
The beach was messy with green/brown soggy seaweed looking stuff, couldn’t really enjoy the beach. But I would come back from all the different events we went to on the property. Thanksgiving dinner was delicious, neon party was fun!

We just got back from a week at Secrets.
Love that you can have your choice from quiet to mid party to loud and fist bumpin in one resort.
The food was all great. We ate all of our breakfasts and a couple suppers at Rosewood. Love the brick oven pizzas at the swing bar by the beach! Burgers were good by the pool. Hibachi was our favorite.
The service was all top notch. Alejandro and Hugo at the Sports bar were the BEST. They took great care of us and were the extra cherry on top. The Sports Bar has any sport you can dream of. We loved watching all the Sunday football in the pool.
We didn’t spend any time at the beach. The beach itself is pretty small, but the water is murky and yucky. However, if you are more of a pool vibe person, you will be just fine.
Overall, we would come back in a heartbeat.
