The photos of the room view did't match the reality at all. It's impossible to see any park view from this hotel as opposed to photos they put in expedia

Well situated, walkable and secure. The amenities were clean and convenient. The front desk staff were always attentive to our queries.

Overall, very solid place. As an ex-New Yorker, it was like having my own apartment. Room could have been a little cleaner. Lack of daily housekeeping was a minus. It would have been nice if someone had come each day to tidy up.

Only stayed for the night but was a great little spot right next to Fulton Street Subway…you can walk to anything downtown from here…huge room with kitchen, big bathroom, tons of closet room also

We were looking for an apartment hotel that would have a room or studio with a kitchen for three people and that would be in a good state of maintenance. We discovered several branches of sonder and of them we chose Sonder City Hall because of good reviews and the location. We received a room that met our expectations, well equipped, spacious. In addition to the things that were in the room, you could get toilet paper, dishwasher capsules, washing tablets and other necessary things for staying at the hotel at any time. The representatives at the reception were very nice. The hotel is close to the World Trade Center and the 9.11 Memorial. Adjacent to the hotel is a metro station, a supermarket a few minutes' walk away and many shops and cafes around. The stay was very comfortable except for a small incident with one of the air conditioners that did not work and was not repaired even though we asked. We did not respond to the request to get another blanket. Another thing that would be good if they improved is an incoming lobby mode. In fact there is no lobby, it is not a hotel in the usual sense but a building where the 2-6 floors have offices and the 7-14 floors have an apartment for short-term or long-term rent. Bottom line, the stay at Sonder City Hall was successful for us

Downtown location is very convenient to the WTC, shopping, and dining, and it’s right next door to the Fulton subway station (multiple lines, and you won’t even get wet in the rain). 16 minutes to Jersey City by PATH, and multiple lines can take you uptown, plus close to Tribeca. Great long term stay- friendly front desk, very easy check in and check out, laundry room is a huge bonus. The 1 BR was a huge space by NY standards. with comfy beds and google streaming TV. Very happy with Sonder, and highly recommend!

The location of the hotel is great. We liked the fact that sonder intelligently cut down services we don’t need-like a doorman or ice machines- and replaced it with smart things- like a mobile key to get in and out of the hotel and one’s room, a small kitchen in the room, fully stocked with plates and silverware and coffee cups etc. we liked that it was very clean and modern. We will look for other Sonder hotels in the future!

Superior! This fully appointed studio had a high end and fully equipped kitchenette; very large and clean bathroom; and spectacular bed, sleeping and dining area! Easy self-checkin and building access, as well as very capable and service oriented front desk staff. After a complex, national itinerary staying in multiple hotels cross-country, Sonder was heads and shoulders above the others! Very much looking forward to trying this brand in other countries / locations!

Apartment has a good size and nice amenities. Close to the subway, very well kept too. Staff at the hotel is great! Communication is a huge issue. I was given a 1 PM late check out the night before leaving that was canceled next morning. Had to hurry to leave at 11 AM. When asked Sonder Chat Service about it, they said no way, we will stick to protocol, just ignored their previous late check out approval. Really messy and unorganized.

Perfect for our NYC trip. The apartment was very clean and well-appointed. Easy access to multiple subway lines and nearby attractions and restaurants. I never think hotels have enough hanging bars for towels, so that would be my only complaint. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this Sonder! It’s conveniently located right next to 2 metro stations, in front of the One World Trade Center (perfect for evening walks too!), and a super quick access to all the touristy spots in NYC (without the hustle of staying downtown). The room was so beautiful, spacious, clean, with a well-equipped kitchen. The highlight were the ultra comfortable king size bed and the luxurious bathroom! Check in & check out were super easy, great communication whenever we had a question. We highly recommend it for couples, families & groups of friends! We had a magical stay.

The apartment was beautiful and had everything you need. I loved the living room area and the design, with both an eating table and desks to get work done. The kitchen was fully equiped and the bathroom was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable!! Also, the location is perfect, with walking access to the subway and great options to eat less than 3min walk. Would definitely stay again.

Working from home we needed more space than a typical NYC hotel room. Sonder was spot to be based great location, spacious well-appointed room. We arrived in early hours due to flight delays but check-in was easy to access building and room with code. The Sonder app was also very useful during stay for info about room and location. The only two things I can fault with the stay are: 1.) Each room is different and depicted in majority of the images is a desk (large in some with 2 office chairs) and a table. This was a key feature for us since we both had to work from the room. Unfortunately our room had no desk and a café sized table not sufficient for two working setup. So I suggest if you are a working couple to message Sonder ahead of time to request room with a desk. 2.) Extending stay a night we booked 6 nights and flights changed so we needed to extend a night however I couldn't via Hotels.com app calling also didn't help. I couldn't extend via the Sonder app either since I booked via Hotels.com. I called Sonder and they could offer another night but the cost was just under half of our total stay. We ended up booking another night at hotel around the corner. If the process for extending a night could be improved via Hotels.com bookings with Sonder that would be great. We look forward to staying with Sonder again in the future.

The place is in great condition and the stay itself was wonderful. However, when I had trouble with the Sonder online verification process, the customer service was not very helpful. When I expressed frustration, I was told that I'm "entitled to your opinion." I will just never book through Sonder again, if I can help it.

The space-I could’ve stayed there forever! Clean, spacious, and high ceilings with a large mini kitchen was a huge plus. The convenience of the spot was excellent as well; could walk everywhere.

Book the premium suite with “balcony” but was placed in a studio for first two days. After that, was upgraded to a much better room but not what I paid for. The Sonder did what they could to help, but it was not a pleasant experience. You may be better off booking directly on the Sonder web page.
