Looks nothing like the pics online. Rooms need a deep clean. Windows particularly filthy. Beds are comfortable and bathroom good . Asked for room to be made up. It wasn’t done . When u asked reception any it hadn’t been done they were not interested at all . Very poor .

rooms very dingy and not up to great standard. towels were dirty (staff apologised and changed straight away) shower curtain dirty. not very clean bathroom. bed was rock hard but sheets were clean. phone was broken off stand & not working. windows were not fitted well so noise come right through, the 2nd windows (slide door) did not close properly so heard every noice and music blaring all night as was in very nightlife area. only thing that i would say was really good standard was the staff were really nice & helpful

Building is extremely run down, previously stayed here when it was an Ibis and couldn't fault it however now seems poorly maintained, examples: lightbulbs not working in the room or in corridors, uneven bathroom lino (bumpy from previous flooding from shower), coat hangers above the spare bed (so was unable to hang anything up or our daughter would have anywhere to sleep). The room didn't appear to have been properly cleaned- dust.
On a positive note- the bed was comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful however appeared to be over worked. We saw one cleaner running up and down the stairs, hoovering, emptying the bins- working very hard!
Perfect location!
Before you park!!! Ask about the discount for parking in the multi-story on Talbot road, we wasn't told until we were leaving and could have saved over £10!

Awful room. Dirty carpet, dirty bed linnens, no hand soap in the bathroom dispenser. Windowsills full of dead bugs. Great view, but the room in so bad condition we checked in to another hotel.

Our stay should have ended on Friday 18th October. We have had to check out this morning for our safety. The hotel is dirty, with stains all along the corridor in level 1,the room wasn’t much better but the bed sheets were clean so after much deliberation between our family on Sunday when we checked in,we decided to stay. Dirty skirting boards that didn’t look like they’d ever been wiped clean, mould in the shower, shower head was filthy. The whole room, actually the whole hotel was in desperate need of a proper, deep clean. The fire alarm went off twice on Wednesday evening, which I know is nobody’s fault but the procedure which followed was a joke. I went to reception to find out what was going on where & we needed to go,and the man on reception was just stood there. He told me he’d rung the fire brigade. If he’d rung the fire brigade because he couldn’t be sure if there was a fire or not, why wasn’t the hotel evacuated until the fire brigade could tell us there was no fire and the building was safe?
The security in the building leaves lots to be desired. The fire door at the end of the first floor last night was wedged open, not safe!! The door to get into the first floor accommodation does not have a working key entrance which is another safety concern. Anybody could walk in the hotel at any time and gain access to the corridors. An absolutely appalling stay in a disgusting hotel that clearly didn’t care for the safety of it’s guests

Room basic but adequate for short trip where you only need the room for sleeping. Could have been a bit cleaner especially in the bathroom. Big problem with key cards for the room(s) we had; repeatedly not working and had to go to reception to get re-programmed. Breakfast expensive for what you get; continental £10 each whereas you can get a full breakfast in other establishments nearby for less. Location good for promenade with tram stop just across the road. Nice, friendly staff.

We were given the wrong room type (an accessibility room) but it was satisfactory except for the shower, which was a wet room. Not worth making a fuss about. Front desk staff were very accommodating. Good location and good value for money. Don't let the exterior fool you, it is being upgraded.

Budget hotel. Opposite the North Pier. Noise from a club until 2 am. Ok for a short stay. Our room smelt of cigarettes even though there is a no smoking policy.

Didn't like anything, its was disgusting, dirty, mould in the shower, long hair on the sink in bathroom, dirty carpet, windows filthy and covered in cobwebs, dust everywhere, dirty cups.
I wish i coould afford to go to another hotel but being an oap that wasn't an option for me.
I certainly wouldn't stay there again or recommend it, i will show everyone the photos i took.
Even outside isn't inviting its filthy and people stood in the passage smoking drugs, the smell was awful.

Couldn’t of asked for a better location and the view was amazing for what we paid
4.0 / 10.0
The location is great- good sized shower although there should be a small shelf - windows wouldn’t open but as I was only there for one night I didn’t bother complaining- checkin was easy, all in all the hotel looks a bit tired.

Basic hotel. Comfortable beds. No issues with room. Excellent location. Hallways need attention, dirty carpets and smells weird on second floor at the elevator. The maid service is upon request, which suited us. Reception replace towels, teas coffees etc when required. Overall we were happy for the price paid.

Ended up getting stuck in the lift for 30 mins with fire men having to come out room was dirty and mold in bathroom never ever will I stay here again.
4.0 / 10.0
Booked two rooms, when we arrived the carpets at the stairs were very dated, the furniture in the rooms were bare. In one of the rooms it was not cleaned as there were numerous long hairs in the showers, both rooms did not have the usual condiments of tea and coffee in which one had coffee but no milk and the other had milk but no coffee. This hotel has gone downhill since the ibis left. Weve been going here for years however for £345 for 2 rooms for 3 nights it wasnt worth the money. We both agreed we would not stay here the next time we come to blackpool.

Terrible view of a chimney pot, pigeons and pigeon muck. Paid £14 for breakfast which was grim ( continental) but coffee was like washing up water and the boiled eggs were grey.

Dirty place needs a refurb moved rooms when complained to a room that was worse
2.0 / 10.0
We was given a room with no open windows. The room was dirty. We were moved to another room. It was slightly better. There was mold all around the shower frame. Shower room was dirty. Shower not very powerful. There was an horrible smell in the landing area. External doors in the hall way didnt have a soft closing. So all night we kept getting woken up by the door banging as our room was just through the door. Over all not a good stay. Certainly not worth the £116 we paid for the night.

The welcome was great. The room however was not cleaned properly, the window couldn’t be opened and the room smelt musty and stale
2.0 / 10.0
The room was straigh on the sea front with views off the north pier. When i arrived the lobby had a bit off a foisty smell, thisxwas before checkin and they where cleaning.when we booked in the room had a strong smell inside, we bought a bottle of bleach to clean the bathroom where the smell was coming from (it was more cabbage than anything else) the room had 2 plug sockets inside, the hotel is a listed building oldest hotel in Blackpool but modern life requires more than 2 sockets. My wife and son slept on the double bed and i slept on the single bed, my mattress was lumpy, with rises and dips.
The breakfat the following morning, a continental breakfast which we where charged £10 each was a choice off a greyish yoghurt, toast, over boiled eggs, cereal, cossant chocolate muffins, ham and cream cheese. I thought it was very mixed and matched. The staff where friendly. I was glad to book out and head home.

Hotel location is superb. Bed comfortable and room clean. Staff helpful - but limited in what they can do. Overall the hotel needs money invested to improve. Lift out of order. Room stank of cigarette smoke. Window filthy. Steam vent in bathroom partially blocked with paper - clearly put in by previous clients for some reason. Also no soap provided.

Excellent service cleanliness top notch

Room was dirty as me and the partner found a hair in one of the cups, my partner didn’t enjoy the bed and as a result to this has received a bad back, it’s really good that you have a discount in the car park and it’s more than half of the car park itself. Good spot as there’s loads of things around the area.

Dirty hotel , have to ask to get your room cleaned and towels changed, never seen the cleaners all the time we were there , the smell in one of my friends room was that awful they had to move, when they were moved to another room there was someone all ready staying there , very noisy middle of night and doors slamming

This was my third stay at Forshaws Hotel. Unfortunately I won’t be staying again. There was an incident on my first night & I contacted reception, as I was extremely frightened. I expressed my worries & asked to be transferred to another room, especially as I was a solo traveler. The receptionist stated a room transfer wasn’t available, & I never heard anything else. Wanted to leave after two days but didn’t want to lose out on my money. I checked out a day early & wasnt asked why. I bought some cleaning supplies as most surfaces were either dusty or dirty. I couldn’t watch tv due to the aerial being poor.
