Love the Evo hotel and it is the only place I will stay when coming to SLC
4.2
Great new and modern hotel. Very central to downtown and great staff!
4.2
With active construction happening at the property, it took a few times to get a room that would be just right.
MK, Bee and the barista (whose name escapes me!) were nothing short of wonderful and made. Stay that started off bumpy, one that I look forward to again in the coming months.
4.2
I was a bit taken back with the industrial rooms and no windows in the room (just a change of pace) but beds were comfortable and for
the most part the rooms were clean although there were cob webs coming from the open ventilation both in my daughters room and mine Staff was very courteous both on check in and departure The hotel needs better signage as we drove right by it The kids enjoyed the games

My husband and I had a great stay at the hotel. We really liked the space, both our room and the common gathering spaces. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, as well. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the linens — the fabric wasn’t all cotton and gave the bed a clammy feel. Besides that, we enjoyed the contemporary vibe and it was conveniently close to the Granary concert venue.

Well- no hangers, no iron, no mini fridge. No coffee, no closet and you have to ask the bar for ice. The stand lamp was broken and the only way to turn it off was to untwist the bulb. Cute hotel but weird vibe.
4.2
Absolutely outstanding! Friendly staff really cool hotel especially if you have teenagers they would love this place! Climbing wall skate park it is so cool and there's a bar upstairs for Mom and Dad definitely a plus
4.2
Awesome place. I was so stoked to get there
4.2
Staff is nice and rock climbing wall and atmosphere is amazing.. However, the bunk beds are horrific, i didnt feel safe for my twenager sleeping there.. also, they do offer earplugs but we could hear everyones conversations , including construction workers and children running. Also room doesnt have a fridge but they did give us a cooler upon inquiry. So overall, nice place for young couple or single athletic person who sleeps through everything but i dont think it is the best option for families

Overall it was just ok.
We stayed for one night before a flight out the next day. The location was convenient to the airport for sure.
I got sucked in with how cool the hotel looks on the website. The room pictures are majorly deceiving though. We were in a double room and it was so small. We had two adults, one teenager and a toddler. There isn’t a table, there isn’t really any furniture at all outside of two tiny benches and the weird book case barrier between the beds.
Inside the room, there are very few amenities. No cups, no extra towels, nowhere to put clothes, no fridge, no microwave. It’s literally a room with two beds and a bathroom.
Inside the bathroom, you have a shower that looks cool but the shower has half a wall so water got everywhere. Our sink didn’t really drain, I had to hold the stopper up.
Hotel, we didn’t get to take advantage of most of the gym amenities. Our room was directly beside the bar, which was cool because we could literally walk out and grab a drink then come back to our room but was not great because we could hear the music through the wall until 11pm. Thank goodness for sound machines or our toddler would’ve been up all night.
Parking and surrounding area, once the area is built it will be really cool. Unfortunately it is VERY MUCH under construction. Like you are parking beside construction vehicles (if you can get a spot) or in a gravel lot. The whole area feels a little sketch.
Just stay at a normal hotel and climb here.

This is a very unique hotel, with a skate park and climbing wall, as well as shared workspaces and a shopping area. There was no one at the desk, and we had to do some wandering around to check-in. Unfortunately, road and building construction is going on on all sides, so parking and noise are a problem.
4.2
Dumb loud, bed, below floors, and construction
4.2
Amazing concept
4.2
Major construction occurring next to the hotel so parking is limited and nose level in the morning is high.

We had to be in Salt Lake for medical appointments and we wanted to make the experience fun for the kids! Evo hotel was perfect, the skate park and the bouldering were perfect ways to let the kids burn off their energy and the vote was, “it was way better than a hotel pool!” The staff were so helpful and kind, the spaces were comfortable, and the room was great. The corn hole at the top of the stairs was a hit too! We would totally stay here again.

Loved my stay! Will stay here again in the future!

This was a nice hotel. Clean, new, lots of gathering places throughout the hotel. It had a very outdoorsy, hipster vibe, to me. Having a climbing gym and an indoor skate park, instead of a pool was an interesting twist. I reserved a room with bunk beds because my boys (14 and 24) will not share a bed so one always ends up on the floor. Anyway, the bunk beds are a nice idea, but they squeaked every time one of them moved. My only real complaint is parking. I don’t understand how you can have a hotel without a designated parking area. Because there was some kind of event at the bar that night there were no parking spots near the entrance to the hotel. I had to walk from the back side of the building around to the front late at night with not much light. It made me uncomfortable, I didn’t feel safe.
4.2
Very cool space. Great staff. Love the bouldering gym onsite. Way better than a pool. Will be back.

Super fun hotel close to downtown, shopping and the university!
4.2
A very welcoming place with a lot of very cool amenities.

Kennedy made my whole stay. If she’s not recognized or appreciated this review will be a highlight of her amazingness. From the moment I walked to the front desk, she had the most welcoming energy and attitude. She was super informative on the property and gave details about my stay, most employees wouldn’t even care to share or remember. She went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and accommodating. She is the reason I would come back. I loved my room and the bed was amazing. However, her customer service designates the most! Thank you guys for having a gem!

Great location and atmosphere

We enjoyed our stay in the "Wasatch Two Doubles" room at the Evo hotel, despite not taking advantage of the perks like indoor rock climbing etc. It was a very clean and quiet hotel. It was also within an easy and safe walk to a couple breweries.
4.2
Hotel look pretty cool but the AC was broken at our room so I couldn’t stay. Wanna be fair with the staff because it wasn't their fault, but at the end I cant say many good things about the place
4.2
Really enjoyed my stay! So happy with my experience here
4.2
Very unique hotel. It has a climbing gym, yoga studio and fitness center within the building. It also has several outdoor gear stores. The coffee stand is very good. The hotel is very clean. The only things I didn't like were the windowless room and the low rafters on one side of the room. It was also very quiet and clean.
4.2
Loved having coffee and a bar on-site, as well as shopping and the climbing gym.
4.2
This place is so cool! All staff were attentive, helpful and amazing. Space was filled with joyful people interacting and enjoying themselves. Cannot wait to return.
4.2
There was virtually no parking and I visited for an event so I was unable to participate in any of the amenities. My room had no window.
4.2
The cons- The beds and pillows very uncomfortable. For a family room of four they only provide two towels and roll of toilet paper for three nights, when we requested more, it took 3 calls and a visit to front desk to get. The bathtub drain was broken and wouldn't properly drain. No coffee in the room but avail after 7am downstairs. The walls were very thin you can hear everything including drunk people from the bar and rooms, and very loud sex through the night.
The pros- best amenities ever with bouldering and skate park, friendly staff
4.2
Cool building concept, poorly executed. Windowless room very noisy, too spare (no toothbrush cup, in-room coffee,
“breakfast bar” extremely limited choice and poor quality), parking extremely limited, front staff poorly trained. Needs refinement. Feels incomplete. Relies too heavily on “outdoor bums are happy with anything” image.
4.2
If you are a skateboarder or rock climber this your spot. Specifically if you are under 40 years old.
Here are some issues we ran into:
1.Self parking is street parking. Fend for your self.
2. Check in was friendly but no detailed explanation of the facilities. For example how where and when coffee is available.
3. $25 daily fee for amenities. Not sure what is that for since there are no amenities.
4. The property is part outdoor activities club. There are lot of non guests coming in and out of the hotel. At peak times the street parking is full and we had to look for parking 3 blocks away. At night the area is not well lit.
5. At the first night the hotel hosted a private party. The noise level was unbelievable. The music has blarred and vibrated our room until 10pm. We have received texts appologizing for the noise and where offered to a different room. But at that point it would have taken longer to pack n move than wait out the party.
6. The fan for Hvac has a continuous humming noise. We just had to shut it down.
7. The next morning at 6Am, we woke up to repeatedly yells of "room service" down the hall.
8. If you walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night be prepared to walk on uneven concrete slab.
9. We found out that coffee is available at 7 am at the facility coffee spot. We are early riser and its not convient.
In short the property ia more activities training facility with hotel rooms attached and has less sense in the hospitality business
4.2
Very unique hotel! Skateboarding lessons, access to rock wall climbing and yoga, very comfortable beds. Cozy study / work area that smells so nice.
Very happy with our stay
4.2
Nothing particularly bad happened during my stay but it wasn’t worth the price to me. I would stay at a comparatively priced normal hotel next time, and wouldn’t recommend it to others.
Stayed in the rafter room, prolly banged my head against it 15 times. The bag stand and every other piece of furniture is in the short (4 foot ceiling) part of the room.
No sound insulation between the rooms. Must climb stairs to access the room so it sucks to haul your ski bag in and out.
The vibe is that they teleported several businesses from the block of their Seattle shop into a warehouse, and you’re living in it. Notably, they forgot to bring stone way cafe or sea wolf :/.
Service was average. Reception told us we could check out at noon, then walked that back. My room was clean, but my friends found dirt in their furniture. Towels never swapped during my 4 night stay. Everything else was fine.
Access to a real gym was nice, I appreciated the foam rollers and sauna. And it was convenient to have the evo shop look at my ski. But ultimately, just a perk for a ski trip where you need a car anyways, and evidently you do pay $25 a day for that “luxury.”
Ultimately, for me it just wasn’t worth the price. This either needs to be higher or lower end, but the current price point is a rip, imo. You’ll probably appreciate it more if you love living in a climbing gym or evo store, which, to be fair, is their whole shtick.
4.2
Cool vibe and it doesn’t feel like you are in a hotel. First room (family bunk) didn’t have any windows (that bit of info was not in the room description) then we got switched to room 229 that had a window (not able to open) but was on the other side of the wall from the rental shop so we could hear their conversations and loud music as if they were right in the room with us which was not great. Parking was limited. Lots of constructions happening right next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly! Nice that they give you passes to the on-site climbing gym.
4.2
We got in really late and the front desk attendant was super nice and helpful. The decor is really cool. Loved the free coffee in the morning and I got some cool new ski gear in the shops! The location was great, we walked to most of the places we went. Next time, I'd love to take advantage of the free yoga.
4.2
It’s an interesting hotel, but in a cool way. The only thing I’d say is being able to adjust the temperature. The look, feel, and concept is pretty cool.
4.2
No parking for overnight guests other than street parking and a lot that is shared with the public for skate park / climbing wall etc. Lacks basic things that you would typically have at any other hotel such as a coffeemaker and a tv. Honestly felt like the hotel was focused on being "hip" rather than practical. I would not stay here again.

Great fascilities
