Pros - Right in the middle of Newbury Street with great shopping and restaurants right at your doorstep. Comfortable bed. Clean apartment. Kitchen well equipped with dishwasher, Washer dryer, microwave. Reliable internet. Spacious interior. Lift access to level 4.
Cons - Very noisy at nighttime so difficult to sleep. No table to eat food so eat on bed or in the two lounge chairs on your lap. Needs some sort of bedside tables next to bed. The biggest concern was safety due to the fact that the lift is shared with Shake Shack. On two occasions we pressed the button to go down and when the lift opened there were men literally staring into the kitchen as the lift opens straight into your apartment (there is no door from the lift). On another occasion it appeared to be that a homeless lady had found her way into the lift and seemed surprised when my wife entered. We later saw her on several occasions living rough. There is something not quite right about the set up even though there is a security code to go to floor 4 that’s unique to the guest, it is not without the possibility of others entering which is a little scary.
The final con was when we requested an early check-in for 2pm. We received notification at 3.45 that we could checking early. When we went to activate this, Sonder wanted to charge a significant amount for it. We felt this was opportunistic! If the place is ready why not show some good will like everywhere else does!

The place was great, I would love to come back next year.
My only issue which is at 9 am this morning, housekeeping came into my room while I was in my underwear sleeping in bed. Our check out time was at 11 am. It was quite embarrassing and not a fun way to wake up.

Comfortable, functional, and clean suite. While no reception and consierge on site, they have have a good chat option for questions and lockers to store luggage. Great area with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and retail. The bedroom had a sound machine and sleep mask in case street noise and light becomes an issue.

This is not a hotel, and I wonder how included with the list of hotels. The code to enter the building did not work and No employee at the property to help. I spent several hours on the street until another tenant came and open for me. The elevator was not working and I had to carry my luggage to the third floor. I had to leave the property 2 days early and of course I did not get any refunds..

Great location. Within walking distance to Fenway, shops, and restaurants.

Ideally located in heart of Back Bay
4.0
The apartment is located in a posh area of Boston with nice restaurants and expensive stores in the vicinity. This also means much noise from the street as well as someone living higher up in the building consistently played music at a level of volume that was inapropriate, particularly since it was NOT my style of music. The apartment is well maintained, but in a rather impractical manner. Visiting Boston for business purposes made the absence of (even a small) desk to work from a major inconvenience. Otherwise a well equipped facility as should be expected at that proce.

Great location, very nice and clean
10.0
The location is excellent, close to everything you need. The windows are highly effective at blocking out noise from the busy street. As advertised, there is no elevator and no stove, but the air fryer provided is very convenient. The space is clean and quiet, with a good shower and a comfortable bed. The hallway luggage lockers were a lifesaver.
What could be improved:
- A full-length mirror or one in the hallway would be beneficial.
- Providing communal-size body lotion, similar to the shower products, would be appreciated.
- A bottle of olive oil for use with the air fryer would be useful.
- The decor is more bleak compared to other Sonder locations, such as in Montreal.
- The bathroom could use better lighting and a close-up mirror for makeup.
- A more functional bedside clock with a phone charger would be helpful.
- The living room has enough space to accommodate a small workstation with a chair, which would be more practical than the high kitchen counter for remote work.

Tired apartment. No elevator

The room/unit we were in was above shake shack so you could here the music and noise from the restaurant. Location was great for us though it was Midway between fenway and Boston common in back bay. We took the free logan express bus to back bay and the room was 1 block away. Only $3 to go back to the airport.

Great location, right among shops and cafes on a hip street. Clean, large 1 bedroom apartment. As others have noted, it is super loud overnight with trucks loading nearby stores. They provide a sound machine but bring ear plugs!

Very close to basic necessities and close to the station. Place was relatively clean. Would recommend. Just for other peolle looking at this place to stay the only downside is that there isnt any elevator. It was a good workout going up and down the stairs.

Sonder property is our new favorite. The unit was impressively clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Check in and check out were easy and efficient. We used their app to ask questions during our stay and got answers and help immediately. Highly recommended.

Pros: Location - right on Newbury St.
Cons:
1. Dumpsters being unloaded every night we stayed between the hours of 2-4 AM?! It woke us up every night- don’t understand why this wasn’t disclosed to us.
2. When booking it said crib was included. I had to request it 3 times to confirm it was added to the reservation. Upon delivery this was a pack and play that didn’t even fit in the master bedroom so the baby had to stay in the noisiest area.
3. Left 4 towels and 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 adults for 4 days/3 nights. When we ran out of toilet paper and asked for additional towels, I was told no one would be available for 24 hours and to purchase it on my own and they would refund me. Once I sent the receipt they gave me “Sonder credits” not a refund. I had to go back and forth for hours on a chat to correct this.
4. The heating/air. Not sure what was going on but it was 78 degrees in our room and in any attempt to turn it down it would just stay there.
I will finish by saying I travel very frequently and it takes a lot for me to write a negative review. I am so unsure how this property doesn’t have a lower rating. I would say you can definitely find a better place in the Back Bay Area before choosing to stay here.

There are four floors without an elevator. Makes it difficult when carrying luggage. Other than that it was a great place to stay in Boston

Parking turned out to be easy but might not have been if we arrived at a different time. Don't know, but was great for us. Great area to be in.

Amazing property. Although 4th floor walk up the unit was so large and comfortable with kitchen and a washer/dryer. The location was fantastic, walk right out the door and find lots of good places to eat, walk to Fenway Park, walk to Boston Common and Waterfront and even to TD Garden for Celtics basketball. Not a hotel so may take a little longer to get more towels or help but you get it soon enough. What a great vacation!

You really can’t beat the location right on Newbury St! The unit was in great condition, clean, spacious and nice decor. Just note it is a walk up so if you have super heavy suitcases you will need to carry them up at least one flight of stairs. Check-in and check-out process was super easy. Access is also really easy with the door code or using a mobile device key. Impressed with Sonder and will definitely consider for future accomodation!

The property is in a great location! We were able to walk to many different locations and there is a subway station nearby. We will definitely stay at this location again!

The room has a couple of issues. First the bathroom sink had a leak, second the mattress and the mattress protector had a stain and smelled pretty bad.
We extended our stay few days 10 days in advance, and the didn’t leave us in the same room so we have to pack and do check out at one, leave the luggages in a storage and then check in at 4 pm. It was so annoying!

Everything was fabulous except the Shake Shack below turned up their music really loud until after 11 every night. We had to be up early for business meetings each morning, so that was annoying….

Great location on very upmarket shopping street. We walked to downtown and Fenway within 20 minutes. Copley T station was a block away and easy to use. Have seen some complaints about stairs but we were on the third floor and despite being relatively unfit 50-somethings we managed absolutely fine. Apartment had really good facilities- washer/dryer was very useful. Definitely would stay here again.

Lovely apartment, small but catered for all of our needs. Great location to explore Boston. 😊

Overall super convenient. I expected a stove because the listing said it was a full kitchen but there a microwave and toaster.
All up, property was clean and modern.
