Horrible location - advertised as best flat on the street - a dos house could also be described as best house on street

Did not stay as disgusted with the street and location

The location is dreadful - dirty scruffy rundown street full of unkept houses with rubbish everywhere & dirty mattress in font garden - neighbours and area looked menacing - didn’t feel safe leaving car nearby & having to walk to property - didn’t even stop and go in just drove 2 hrs back home instead

Comfortable and clean flat, close to amenities.

The flat was clean, well stocked and comfortable for 3 adults. Location was close to all amenities. We had a rental car and could easily access all major roads.

No car parking in the street between 9am and 6pm was an issue as we had to find a car space a few streets over each day.

Clean, convenient, room for improvement

Overall very clean, good price and location.

Double beds don't work when pushed together. Height difference, can feel the edges. Had to make the double bed despite the booking being for two adults, one in each bedroom specified. Downstair neighbours (particularly from the back bedroom) very noisy. Hard to sleep. Ear plugs recommended. No blind on bathroom window, unable to shower at night. Frosted glass doesn't leave much to the imagination. View from windows/area a bit run down. But didn't feel unsafe. No banister for going up and downstairs. Bins were ripped opened and rubbish was scattered about upon arrival and remained for the days we were there. Communication in the day/s before was difficult. Heard nothing so had to chase up the booking and confirmation details, that was a bit stressful as it wasn't straight forward.

Very happy with property & enjoyed our stay.

If the property could be moved to a different location ,it would be super, area bit run down.

Car parking, owner could not get parking permits ,which was a bit of a pain, But we parked car literally 2 minutes walk away in York Road (other side of Southchurch road) which was free parking.

My joy at finding The best Flat on the street.

Accommodation was very comfortable and spotless, facilities excellent. Everything anyone could possibly require was to hand. Welcome basket contained goodies and parking permits. Location perfect for access to shops, restaurants and beach. I would highly recommend best Flat on the street to anyone visiting the area.

Very pleased with our stay. Close to the sea front and walking distance to local shops. very pleasant stay indeed!

it was spacious, clean and comfortable, like a home from home!

Sofa was a little uncomfortable and the TV was a little difficult to work out, but nothing major.

Convenient, clean, comfy and well-managed - would love to stay again!

The flat was super-cosy, very clean with a good kitchen area, comfy sofa, big TV, good shower and lovely comfy beds. Just ten mins walk to town, and even closer to the sea front. Parking was easy - parked right outside and the host provided parking passes for the days of our stay. Lots of restaurants within striking distance. The host was very helpful and easy to contact. Check in was made easy by the host sending full instructions and a video walk through. Would love to stay again!

Great flat in a not so great neighbourhood

The flat was very clean and decorated really nice and modern. It had everything we needed. The host was very nice, and responded really quick. Beach and high street easy to reach.

The flat is situated in a very rough area of Southend, with homeless people and drug abuse and an overall unpleasant atmosphere, especially at night. This is a shame because otherwise it is nicely located near Adventure Island, the beach, the high street etcetera.

Fantastic place to stay!!!

I had a fantastic stay with my family here, absolutely faultless. The accommodation was spot on. Had everything plus more we needed, to cater to our stay. It was so exceptionally clean, and was very modern. It was located 3 minutes walking distance from the beach, shops and attractions. Also 1 minutes walk to the local shop and takeaways. The host was great, with easy communication and very helpful with everything. I will definitely recommend 'The Best Flat on the Beach' to friends and family. And I'm looking forward to staying here again 🙂

Great location for the beach. A very well maintained and kitted out property made the stay easy.

Welcome basket. Directions ahead of arriving. Distance to beach. Cleanliness. Modern, clean and well maintained. Parking vouchers. Friendliness of host.

The neighbourhood was not nice. The neighbours and others on the street were very noisy. A few dogs barking through the night coupled with the general noise of people/teens shouting on the street made it difficult to sleep.

Perfect accommodation, perfect host

Location is perfect for the town, beach and amusements. Facilities in the flat were perfect, some nice extra touches such as a coffee machine with coffee pods, a little welcome basket, milk in the fridge and kids games were available also. Mark was extremely helpful, will stay again.
