About this apartment rental
We challenge you to find a more beautiful one bedroom apartment in Edinburgh!
Large first floor*( *2nd floor North America) one bedroom flat overlooking a private garden in exclusive Georgian cul de sac, off Heriot Row.
The spacious first floor apartment comprises a large double bedroom with en suite. The kitchen area has a gas cooker/ fridge/freezer & dishwasher, and includes a utility area with washing machine & dryer.
The large living room, which overlooks the beautiful private Queen Street Gardens, has a separate dining area. All bed linen, towels, pillows and duvets are provided.
The apartment is a few minutes from Waverley Station by taxi. Wemyss Place is just off Queen Street, which runs parallel to George Street. The main shopping area of Princes Street is within easy walking distance. The apartment also has a secure parking bay at the rear of the building.
The apartment is in a very quiet area and yet so close to all the amenities and attractions, within walking distance such as Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, with Holyrood Palace a short drive away. There are many bars, restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques several minutes away in Rose Street.
Edinburgh's famous castle is especially beautiful. Upon entering the city, it commands immediate attention. The eye of the visitor is drawn to the impressive structure rising high above everything else on its sheer granite cliffs. There are incredible panoramic views from the upper stories of the castle, including a clear view of the distant sea. The castle sits high on the huge rock formation that juts out as if in defiance of any who would seek to invade Edinburgh. Castle Rock, as it is known, is inaccessible on three sides, and has a long, descending ridge on the fourth side.
Edinburgh is filled with historic and literary association: John Knox, Mary Queen of Scots, Robert Louis Stevenson, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (creator of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson), Alexander Graham Bell, Sir Walter Scott, and Bonnie Prince Charlie are all part of its past.

We loved the location and the flat had everything you could need for a short or long stay (laundry, well equipped kitchen, etc.). We can't wait to visit again!

The apartment is fantastic! I stayed three nights and throughly enjoyed my stay. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood in but you can easily walk to Princes Street in 10 minutes. I loved the setup of the apartment and it had everything I needed, and then some. The hosts were very communicative and gave clear instruction for using the apartment. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Lovely comfortable flat in a central location, within walking distance of shops. The bathroom tiling is in need of updating but otherwise perfect.

A large, well-appointed flat in an outstanding location. New Town is within easy walking distance to all of Edinburgh’s tourists destinations, but is an actual neighborhood with lovely shops, restaurants and pubs. We loved sipping coffee overlooking the park. We arrived quite late, and there are no interior stairway lights so it was a bit tricky at first but once we sorted out which key was which we had no problem letting ourselves in. Note that there is one flight of stairs to climb if that is an issue for you. The off-street parking space is just around the corner from the apartment and was so lovely to have.

Great flat great location it had absolutely everything you could need - thank you x

This apartment is in a lovely area on a quiet street that is very conveniently located. It is spacious and light with lots of windows. The kitchen is modern and has everything you could want -- plus there was coffee, bread, butter, milk, chocolates, and fruit left for us to eat. Much appreciated. The bed is large and comfortable.
A few cons: (1) There are three keys to get in and they're all fussy. (2) The entry area has white carpeting and only a small rug to the side for shoes. It was pouring in Edinburgh two of our days and our suitcases, pants, socks, etc. were soaked -- it was tricky and stressful to avoid dirtying the carpet. (3) Luggage racks are needed in the bedroom. (4) There is nowhere in the bathroom to put toiletries except a very small glass shelf.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Edinburgh! The location was great, close enough to walk anywhere but in a quiet spot. The apartment was gorgeous! Beautiful and comfortable with everything we needed. Communication was great and lots of helpful info provided. Would definitely stay again if we're lucky enough to visit Edinburgh again.

This flat was lovely with plenty of room to relax. Loved the view of the gardens. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and excellent shower. We liked being just slightly away from the bustle of Prince Street but still within easy walking distance of everything including some very good and varied restaurants. I would note only that the carpeting is white and there is a no shoes indoors policy, which we didn’t catch in description.

Spacious and beautifully decorated flat in New Town. We were bowled over with the high quality and attention to detail in the apartment. Walk to a great restaurants on George and Hanover streets, to museums or up the hill to the Royal Mile and the Castle. Ubers are also a convenient and easy way to get around town.

This delightful 1st floor apartment was well appointed and provided a perfect balance of proximity to the city center and a quiet retreat.
New Town is a lovely part of the city and is less busy than Old Town. Due to the location, we were able to walk everywhere in the city.
The apartment had tall ceilings and beautiful large windows that let in the light. So welcoming. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a proper meal or a light snack. The seating was comfortable in the living and dining areas. The bedroom and bathroom had lots of space.
And, during our stay we had rain several times each day, so we really appreciated the washer and dryer inside the apartment.
Overall, a great choice. Highly recommend.

This was probably the most amazing apartment we’ve ever rented on VRBO!!! You walk in and are immediately stunned by how beautiful and large all the rooms are. Even has a view of a private park that you are given a key to. Walking distance to everything including the castle!!! Felt like you were in a presidential suite!!!😳😳. It truly is a one of a kind property!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!!!!😊😊

We were so pleased to have found this bright and spacious property on relatively short notice. The keys arrived within days and the description made it easy to get access. The flat was so centrally located we managed to walk everywhere, therefore it was brilliant to have the car park. We would love to stay again in the future.

This is an amazing apartment. Thanks he communication with Paul was incredible. He always and quickly responded to my questions, which were very few, as he reached out first to me several times. The apartment is in a great location: very walkable to all the sights in Edinburgh. Just a 10 minute walk to Stockbridge, Princes st, bus station and train station. But the icing on the cake was the apartment itself. So many extras were provided… fans in every room, sound machine in the bedroom, washer AND dryer ( along with detergent) and lovely original art work. The apartment is huge and filled with sunshine and light. Extra pillows and blankets were provided. It was a truly amazing experience.

Fantastic Edinburgh Getaway
Our first trip to Scotland... loved the property and gardens across the street. Perfect location - just a brief walk to shops and restaurants but very quiet for being in a city. The flat is charming and clean. We had everything we needed and appreciate the prompt communications. We hope to be back again soon!

Wonderful perch for exploring Edinburgh's charms
This is a beautiful period apartment with large windows overlooking a park. It is centrally located (just around the corner from the childhood home of Robert Lewis Stevenson, I learned while there). It was a good place from which to explore all the Edinburgh has to offer. The kitchen was well stocked. The bed was comfortable. I would return.
