Great local house, with several rooms, very clean, bed linen, towels are of excellent quality. The rooms have air conditioning and a fan and on the 1st floor there is a place to relax with hammocks and a view of the ocean. The best element of this place is the boy „G” who takes care of the house, willing to help with various issues, obliging and very hospitable. The great place that I recommend with all my heart!

We stayed at Kichwa house for 5 days. It was an exceptional opportunity to be in the centre of a beautiful and friendly community. The property is right next to the beach and several local and tourist restaurants. Our room was lovely and clean too.
Despite the breathtaking beach, the best part of our stay was getting to know the wonderful staff and local community! G, the manager, was so friendly and helpful!

Thanks to G for his unobtrusive help during my stay. This is a good location with everything I needed within a short distance.
7.0
Very close to the beach.
Gee was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
Good water pressure in the shower.
The house has a fridge and coffee station.
Daily cleaning.
Fresh and delicious bread with breakfast.
Great wifi.
The room I stayed in looked unfinished.
The Mosquito net was too small.
The plumbing/drain system in the street seems problamatic.
8.0
Great location. G and Youssef were very helpful and booked for us some activities. They helped us a lit. The food at the restaurant is excellent and Anwar the owner is a great chef.
The place is a little far.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kichwa House and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the overall cleanliness and comfort of the room.
The WiFi provided by the hotel was excellent. I had no issues connecting and the speed was impressive. I was able to stream my favorite shows and music, the WiFi never let me down.
The breakfast was also great. From fresh fruits to eggs with toast, there was something for everyone.
However, what truly stood out during my stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly Mujahidin. He was incredibly friendly, always with a smile on his face, and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. It was a pleasure chatting with him every day.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel based on my experience. Plus, it’s affordable compared to the pricy hotels next to it.

The manager is an absolute legend, he is so helpful! really, he takes care of you as if you were his closest friend. Of course, this is a place where you stay when on budget, but for the price it has everything you need! a comfortable bed, good breakfast, hot shower. Only thing - the wifi does not reach to all the rooms - that could be an issue if you don't have a local sim. Upstairs is an amazing place to chill or to get some work done. The beach is literally 10m away from the property. I was here off season so the place was quiet, but during the high season you will have an amazing time for sure. If you want to get a local experience, make sure you reach out to the manager as he is really one of the greatest guys I've met on this amazing island.
the wifi signal is low

I enjoyed the location close to the beach. My room was clean and perfect for a solo travel. The guy who runs the house was so kind, friendly and helped me a lot during my stay in Zanzibar, always available!
I really recommend this place!

A wonderful place, beautiful, atmospheric, quiet and peaceful. Great host Jim!!!! Always nice, helpful, polite and smiling, taking care of the comfort of holidaymakers. Beautiful beach with white sand, cleaned daily. Breakfast with local fruits, omelette, pita bread, coffee, tea, honey, jam... nothing else needed. I felt very safe here. The natives are extremely nice!!!! I recommend it with a clear conscience!!!!

the room was clean, quiet with a comfortable bed. Very helpful and polite staff. very good breakfast in a beautiful place right on the beach
The fan, even though it was on all the time, does not move the air in the room. pity there is no AC. It's good that there is space in the attic where you can relax well

Young Manager Gi was ok but he couldn't fix everything except bringing a new clean pillow
I thank you for accepting the change of reservation and the reduction of days of stay. the room is far from Deluxe, because there is nowhere to hang the clothes you take off, the mirror is on the floor, you can only see your feet, the pillows are dirty, in the bathroom there is no towel rack or space on the floor in front of the shower, no mirror or a counter to put the toilet bag on, electric uninsulated wires stick out from the wall to the shower, there is nowhere to hang a costume to dry after returning from the beach... the food service is very slow and the breakfast consists of fried eggs, tough pancakes with vegetables and oily chapata. it can be a substitute for toast and cheese, but it's gratani cheese that you don't even see is on or in the toast.
the entrance to the beach is full of sharp stones, it's very windy and if you can't spend the day on a deckchair on the beach because of the weather, it's very boring

You get what you pay for. But I must mention the receptionist. The man was exceptional, really friendly and tends to all your needs. High ratings just because of him.

The place is amazing: just outside the resorts' area and 20 metres far from the beach, you can live a truer experience.
You can have breakfast (included in the booking), lunch, dinner at a bar located just opposite, along the beach, while watching the sunrise or the sunset or just the tides.
Breakfast is good.
The place is very silent, too, as you usually don't meet cars, scooter and so on.
The beach is very close and by foot you can easily reach kiwengwa.
The staff is Young and very friendly.
Nothing to hang dry/wet clothes ti.
The room was like new and had to be' completed

the location is immaculate, right on the beach and breakfast at amour restaurant every day was a DELIGHT. the beach is pristine and everyone is so friendly and warm and welcoming. the en-suite shower is amazing and the seamoss locally made soap made my skin so soft. the staff were super duper incredibly lovely and since the house is locally owned in partnership with a foreign investor the whole place is run on a family feel.
it’s a little difficult to find unless you let the driver know that you’re heading to castaway. initially the lack of AC was a set back but once we acclimatized it was super restful.

Very quiet and clean accommodation with very friendly and helpful staff.
The accommodation is located in a small, quiet village just 20-30 meters from the beach.
My room (and the house) was newly renovated and lovingly furnished.
Breakfast was served on the beach and included fruit, eggs, pancakes with tea or coffee.
In the corridor there was a fridge, water kettle and upstairs a sitting accommodation with a hammock and a place to hang clothes. The house is not quite finished yet and some small improvements (which I recommended) still need to be implemented, but it's already very nice there and I can fully recommend that beautiful, quiet place.
everything was fine

Close to the beach, breakfast served nearby, at restaurant by the ocean

The personel and people around were super kind. The service including breakfast and lunch very good.
There were not too many people. So it was possible to rest.
It was a bit hard to find the place. But it is located almost at the ocean.
The room a bit small, but all in all very cosy.

This place is amazing. Muhidin, the manager is the friendliest guy you'll meet. It was like catching up with an old friend 😊 The bed is perfect, water pressure is the best so far on the island. Beach is 30 steps away. People in this town are very friendly. The beach is very clean. I hope they'll get a lot of guests
No negatives about the hotel. The town however is very quiet, if you're looking for rest it's perfect 😀
