Good bathroom, definitely needs a drying room as majority of business is likely from people

The beds were very comfy and the bathroom facilties were good. Hot showers.

No drying room. Radiator wouldn't turn on

Clean and comfortable bunkhouse

Surprisingly crisp white bedding on bunk beds, heated room, separate kitchen and dining area with enough kitchenware for a short stay. Outdoor views were lovely and we had a quiet outdoor picnic bench as well. Security was good with door codes on every room. Good value.

Access to the bunkhouse was up a few flights of outdoor stairs, so carrying luggage up and down was essential.

Bunk house great value for money

It was just what we were looking for, to get our heads down for the night. I would also like to mention that we were held up in a traffic accident and were 2 and a half hours past the check in time and were grateful that we were given the code to access the accommodation

Toilets /shower room could do with upgrading. We didn't use the kitchen

A bunkhouse that does what it says on the tin

Location was great. Room was exactly as described beds were comfy, for a bunkhouse.

One of the showers didn't lock.

it is cheap for one night stay

Charge extra for bed linen, which is not mentioned at booking. Living in a separate bunkhouse, not the main building shown in the picture. Very simple facility, far behind YHA hostels.

Good basic bunkhouse rooms in a great location

Location was exactly what I expected, fantastic for walking Blencathra which is why I picked it. And nice walks into Threlkeld. The food and ales in the pub were excellent, great atmosphere in there, very relaxing. The shared bathroom facilities were clean and in good order.

Brillaint location and excellent value for money- i'd definitely stay again.

Brilliant value for money, very comfy bed and excellent location for walking. Toilets were clean and shower was lovely and warm. Over all a very friendly vibe

Only problem was the kettle wasn't working properly but thats an easy fix

For the Lake District it is relatively cheap

The bunk beds were a bit of a wired design which restricted movement

Cheap and cheerful. Just what we wanted.

We loved how convenient the location was, the beds were really comfy and the well equipped kitchen was a great bonus.

It would have been helpful to have a drying room and the heating only came on for short periods in the room so in was quite cold at times.

Clean and practical accommodation, and the attached pub was very welcoming with beautiful food. The bedroom was nice and warm, which was great in February.

In the grand scheme of things, everything was very positive; however, if we were to change anything, the A66 was quite noisy.

Worth a stop over here but lucky bag as to who you will have to share with!!

Great place and location for Blencathra which is just at the back of the property. Kitchen and dining area functional clean and all you need, showers lovely and warm although sharing with some weirdo and noisy inconsiderate person can be a let down although totally out of staff control. Pub lovely and warm with real ale on tap. Good place to stop

Very noisy when it rains, huts under metal roof. If 6 people in the room it would be very cramped. Window didn't open only ventilation is the door.

Really handy place both for breaking a long journey and also for visiting the Lake District. Good food at the pub, too
