Fist time a sequoia national park. This cabin is very close to the park entrance. The cabin was clean and had a kitchen to save money for food, especially during this time. Privacy is also a bonus. Non of the cabins next to ours where close enough to hear any disturbance. Will definitely be returning and renting this cabin in the future.

I lovely cabin. Very enjoyable.

Exterior of property was pretty rundown. Cabin located right on main road. Pretty clean inside and just the basics.

The listing says the property has two beds and sleeps 4 but it has got only one queen bed and a couch. How can it be sufficient for a family of 4 to sleep in there. The listing title mentioned it was perfect for family with two kids but it did not even have enough blankets/ pillows even if someone had to sleep on floor. We had a bad sleep all the days we stayed there.

We have mixed thoughts about this cabin. It was very cute, well appointed and the proximity to Sequoia-National-Park was great. Portions of the deck and railing behind the cabin could use some attention. Inside, both the sink faucet and the shower faucet (where the shower head connected) leaked a bit. Both were minor issues for us.
The biggest issue we had was that we were there during record high temps (108 and up). The little a/c unit and ceiling fan offered little to no relief under those kind of conditions. The bed has a thick foam topper which exacerbated the heat at night. And, perhaps due to the heat, we had a bit of an insect issue. We had a few large ants in the bed and some other insects in the bathroom.
The cabin has lots of potential and would be a wonderful stay in the spring or fall, but for anyone planning a trip during the summer - know that the cabin can be uncomfortably hot if the outside heat is extreme.

The cabin is located at the park entry! Very convenient. However if you are going in summer be aware that is super warm, the AC is just not enough and it becomes worst when you cook. We left the property around 8am every morning and come back around 8pm so it was ok by then. The property will be perfect if they upgrade the AC or if they install an additional AC at the kitchen. The rest was fine, well equiped kitchen, bathroom ok and bedroom ok.

Perfect location to Sequoia NP. It is a compact but enough cabin for our family, including 10 and 6 y boys.

We stayed here with our kids and our friends in the adjacent cabin. It was a perfect location to the park and also to walk down to the river. The outdoor area was perfect for hanging out. When our propane was low, the owners came and refilled it the same afternoon.

Loved the location and cabin. It was perfect for my husband and baby. Easiest check in and out I've ever had, and the host was promt on responding. Must stay!

We loved staying at this property! It was super convenience to visit Sequoia National Park from the cabin. For our small family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young children), the cabin was a great size. Kitchen was well equipped. We loved having coffee out on the little deck surrounded by trees and we cooked our dinner on the grill and ate at the picnic table on the side of the cabin. From the cabin, you can take a 5 minute walk down to the river and that one one of the kids' favorite things to do while we were there. The ONLY thing that we struggled with was the bed, which was really uncomfortable and foamy soft. We'd love to go back and stay at this property if there's a new mattress?! Pretty please!

Very clean, provided more amenities than we really needed which made our 3 night visit very special. Kitchen fully stocked, I brought my own Keurig machine because that's what we're used to, and the bed was very comfortable. Located across street from a fabulous little diner/deli. which has excellent breakfast and lunch entrees. We bought one each day and took it in our cooler into the park to enjoy. So nice that by our last night, our daughter referred to the cabin as our home in Sequoia National Park. She loved it! Thank you Shea Lockhart. We hope to return again sometime!

Super cute and amazing close to Sequoia. We arrived and realized the cleaning crew had forgot to leave enough washcloths and a blanket for the sofa sleeper. It wasn’t urgent, but we texted the owner’s and they were there in 15 minutes with loads of towels, washcloths, blankets, extra pillows and tons of hospitality! I definitely have to give their service a 5 star review!!!

Perfect place for what we needed! Clean, cozy, 5 minutes from the entrance to sequoia, and the owners were very nice and quick to respond. Definitely recommend, especially if you’re looking for something other than a stuffy hotel.

It was closer to the park than most any other place. However it is on the busy roadway. It appears housekeeping had done a so so job on arrival. We had no trash bag and just a little toilet paper. We contacted owner and received them somewhat quickly. It suited our needs fine. If more than 2 people just beware it’s very tight

We found the cabin to be cozy and comfortable, and enjoyed our week-long stay. Communication was great, and a minor kitchen sink leak was taken care of quickly. The cabin is just a couple of miles from the entrance to the park. The Three Rivers and Kaweah River area is beautiful, and the park is spectacular!

This private cabin was the perfect place to stay on our trip to the sequoia forest! It was located just outside the park, and was clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked with extra little amenities like kitchen supplies, bathroom necessities, and even games and movies. The owners were great with communication, making our arrival and departure a breeze. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything was just simply great. The security of the front door could be more secure and durable. Easy to kick in and break open. Overall, great view of the backyard. Amenities: Excellent. Wasn't expecting Direct TV, so that was great.

My husband and the kids stayed in this cabin for two days while going to visit the Sequoia National Park. The cabin was beautiful and well maintained. There is a great little stream right outside that the kids loved. It is close to local eateries and attraction. Pam, the owner, was great to work with and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

Many of the photos included in this listing are of other cabins, not the "live oak" cabin we stayed in. It made the place seem like it would be much larger than it actually is. I definitely feel a bit misled by that. No washer/dryer as I saw in the pics, was counting on that too.
The cabin is right on the side of the main road for the town, so the road right outside it is very busy. Sitting out on the porch, nature is often drowned out by motorcycles whipping by on the oft-twisty road or other vehicles. Took a lot away from the "cabin" experience.
You can't walk out from the cabin straight into the surrounding wilderness - the steps in the back of it lead to a steep embankment that is apparently private property? The deck is aging, and the steps bent underneath my feet (I'm only 175 lbs).
I expected critters, as is normal in nature, but the number of spiders (and other non-venomous insects) encroaching on the living space was surprising. Had a spider on my bath towel as I was exiting the shower, one on the toilet (make sure you lift the seat and check!), etc. Only stayed 2 nights. I left the ones guarding the front door and bathroom window in place as they're just doing their job. The place really needs a perimeter to be done by an exterminator. Many large ear wigs, tons of gnats floating around (and laying dead all over the bathroom sink.) A large ear wig even made it home with me in my suit case! Haha.
There's not much space to store anything, and we didn't bring much. Basically a few drawers.
No spatula! Little kitchenware. The vegetable drawer in the refrigerator was cracked and stained, rendering the bottom level of the fridge barely usable.
The curtain for the back sliding door (directly adjacent to the bed) is quite thin. If you like to sleep past sunrise, you may find it a bit difficult.
The handle for the shower in the bathroom was too difficult for my girlfriend to turn, I had to turn it for her, and it tended to fall off.
Only one small 8-10 gallon typical office-sized waste basket in the kitchen, and a 2 gallon basket in the bathroom for trash. No larger bin to empty them into was around that I saw.
Positives: Water was plenty hot. Lots of towels. Plenty of sheets, pillows, blankets. The bed was comfortable. WiFi was much appreciated, as there is no cell service up there for Verizon nor Sprint. The location was highly convenient for visiting the sequioia forest. Was only 1 hour to the General Sherman Tree.

The cabin was at great location, very cozy and comfortable stay. My 5 year old just loved the place. The deck outside with mountain view was just amazing. It was neat and tidy place. Useful kitchen, clean bathrooms, comfortable bed. Didn't use the barbecue pit but should have been great. Very convenient location next to high way and just 5 min. Away from sequoia entrance.

This home is very cozy and welcoming. As far as our stay we had a great time and it was perfect for 3 people. Forget trying to sleep more than 3 people (no room). Although this studio is very comfy and adorable it does need some improvements. Our main concern was the water temperature in the shower... It was merely luke-warm water... Which is perfect for the summer but definitely not for late fall and winter. The kitchen while it serves its function, could also use a few more pots and pens.
Other then that, the owner is very friendly and replys Promtly to messages and questions. The cabin is literally 2mi from The Sequioa entrance. Also easy to find and secure.
Overall very cute, I would give it a 4 star had it not been for the water temperature in the shower. Also needs a little more house maintenance.
Again the cabin serves its purpose of sleeping and preparing yourself for the days hike in Sequioa.

We stayed in the Live Oak cabin in mid-November and couldn't have been more pleased. We were traveling with a nine month old infant and had plenty of space, and were even provided with a clean pack and play for our son to sleep in. The rooms, kitchen, and bathroom were very clean, and the kitchen was well-stocked for any cooking you need to do. The outdoor area features a picnic table with a propane firepit and grill. Across the street is the Totem market that has a great wine-tasting area as well as a deli, food, drinks, and outdoor supplies. The cabin is situated about three minutes from the entrance to Sequoia National Park. The owners and caretakers were incredibly accommodating and friendly, we would recommend this place to anyone.

This home was newly updated, clean, and comfortable. I liked the outdoor eating area with BBQ and fire pit. My only complaints are that the fire pit did not actually work and the kitchen had only two small skillets for cooking. I had planned to make pancakes and bacon but there was no bowl to mix the pancake batter, no pan large enough for bacon, and no griddle for the pancakes. My hungry family was extremely disappointed. But overall, the place is very nice and the owner is super friendly and helpful.

This is one of the best places (based on the looks of other properties in this tiny town) to stay in Three Rivers. The owner is so wonderful & answers all of your questions promptly. She even was able to arrange a playpen for our infant daughter which we very much appreciated. She is wonderful & even ordered our BBQ dinner for us so we could pick it up when we arrived late. This is very close the park and is convenient. This is an older property, but it is clean & has every thing you need especially when you will be spending most of your time in the park.

The house is fantastic, very sunny, cozy and fully equipped.
The birds and the squirrels coming in the morning made our Stay unique.
To drive to Yosemite takes 45min.
It s really worth going.

The cabin is very close to the south entrance of Sequoia National Park. We arrived on a very hot day, and cleaning crews were considered and turn on the AC before they leave, so when we arrived, the room was clean and cool.
The outside of cabin also have BBQ area and nice grass area & fenced, great for kids to play along.
The owners are really nice, sending me information about the areas and attractions. I definitely recommend this place!!
