Nice hotel on the back end of a total renovation .. beds are very comfortable, kitchenette is good but no utensils, but they do give you dish towels and soap. Some rooms have the full refrigerator as seen on the website, and some of us do need a real freezer for long stays, and some rooms have a small cabinet refridge. Some room had a table and 2 chairs, and others have no chairs at all. So you sit on the bed or nothing. The rooms that say "city view, also have a view of the ocean, just not as much. It's very nice and your vehicles are very safe at night as long as you have your parking pass in the windshield, or off it will go.

Stay was ok until the second night, the elevator went out of service. We stayed in the 5th floor and the elevator wasn’t repaired.

Elevator not working during our stay. Was not informed of tiki bar closing. Not enough chairs at the pool. Disappointing after staying there many times.

Amazing stay. Only complaint I have is they need bigger pillows. Other than that it was beautiful. Charles was super nice and helpful and it was very quiet and peaceful. Definitely will be staying again. Just bringing my own pillows.

We've stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and the one thing we were disappointed at was they do not offer free breakfast anymore. It used to be a lovely buffet, but no more. The room was a good size and was fairly clean, but the fridge was tiny. Could use bigger fridges in the rooms. Hurricane Milton came through a few weeks before we arrived and they suffered some damage as a result. The pool heater was damaged so the pool was a bit cold. Although it was swimmable.

I stay at this hotel the host/manager names Charles never provided me with a parking pass for my car end up getting towed with out my notice I was in the streets scarf looking for my car feom1-3am crying with no money or food then I asked the hotel to refund me for the issue the costs me and they yelled at me and didn’t even look on the cameras additionally I find Roaches the room didn’t sleep all night I paid my last $200 for the towing and Uber I left home hungry crying this is a nightmare matter not recommended.

The work staff at the hotel was great.. The frnt desk staff was great.. The issue with this hotel was the roaches....... We spoke to the front desk they changed our room but we saw them in that room as well.. It really made our stay BAD... I will say the staff was exceptional.. It was just the bug problem

Everybody was extremely helpful and courteous. The happy hour drinks were a nice bonus we didn't expect. Would have loved to try the pool but we forgot our swimsuits.

Great service, good location, okay rooms, terrible...terrible building. Everyone was really nice but the level of deferred maintenance on this building is borderline scary. Stucco chipping off the walls, one balcony was missing guard rails and had a sheet of plywood for fall protection, light posts in the parking lot were rusted through and flaking, funky smell in common areas which was made worse by an attempt to cover it up with air fresheners. Would not recommend.

I called up to the hotel and told them i was not going to make it there because my mother ended up in the hospital and i was worried about being charged im not sure who i talked to but they said dont worry that we understand that you are dealing with a emergency and no charges will be taken from my card unfortunately i lost my mother Saturday night and your hotel took one hundred and sixteen dollars and ten cents from me and that left me with 19 dollars in my account and that left me with no way to put fuel in my vehicle to get home i had to borrow money to get home your hotwl is the worst dishonest hotel who would do that to a person that is about to lose their mother im going to make sure that people know how this hotel is dishonest and the people lie for the hotel you should be ashamed of yourself for taking money from someone that couldn't make it because i was about to lose my mother yall should be ashamed of yourselves and i hope god sees you

This is our go to place when in Daytona. The staff is so friendly. The rooms have been renovated and are comfortable but what is nice having a restaurant in the hotel. It is nice to wake up and go downstairs for breakfast. Oh the Tiki Bar is awesome.

Overall it’s a nice place to stay: big rooms, clean property, very friendly staff, big pool and easy access to the beach. The reason I put four stars because I booked a room with a kitchenettes and there were no pots, cooking pans or cooking utensils at all. Also, on the web site when you are choose the room, it gives you either “city” or “ocean” view options, and I paid for an “ocean” view room. The room that I got was partially ocean view and partially pool view. This detail has to be described on the website, so people know what to expect and what they are paying for.

Was a nice clean room. Nice bathrooms and beds. Had a fire watch which meant all fire alarms and sprinklers were not functional. Kind of scary. Breakfast is not complimentary and not worth the additional fee. Had an elevator and a bunch of stuff broken in the hallways.

We liked the location, easy access to the beach, the pool area, and the attached restaurant! The oceanfront suites were spacious and very clean, but ours is no pans to make use of the stove in the kitchenette. Outside property around the hotel (not pool area) could use better upkeep, maintenance, and landscaping.

The hotel is under renovation so they didn’t have dining . And they give you coupons for a free drink but only between 4:00 to 5:00 pm and they close the bar . I had a roach in my room . I had to change room

I really enjoyed the room.. It was spacious and clean. The view from the balcony was amazing. The only thing i didn't like was it was only one elevator working. Overall i had a great time. I will definitely stay here again.

Pool was good so was beach access. Pool chairs all broken area around property lacking property under renovation and the area all around property still had debris and just not very appealing. We paid for breakfast and the chef didn’t show up on our second day so we left without breakfast.

The property appears to be under renovation. The rooms were really nice, recently renovated. The water pressure in the shower was low and took a few minutes for the hot water to come out. Other than that, very nice and very friendly staff...

Overall good place to stay, we really didn't spend much time on property as we were only in town for the race. Building is on the older side but rooms have been remodeled and are pretty comfy. I'll end up booking another time and bring the wife and kids to enjoy the pool and beach.

I have been 3 vacation seasons in Aku Tiki; always liked; but after the last hurricane, remodeling is very poor; not any “Safe for values in the rooms; shower has signal of glue everywhere in; bathroom door locked me and thanks to my wife was watching tv…; exit room door hard to open; not any napkins in the room ; mattress The mattress pads on both beds slide to one side when you try to lie down. Outside: tiki bar was closed every day; gardens need attention soon. Some people were smoking pots in the stair ways. I recommend to rent in another hotel if The Aku Tiki property management personal don’t fix all issues. I don’t comeback any more.

1 st room they gave us was full of Mold on the ceiling , that was sicking !!! But hotel in renovating so lots of noise these days , free drinks was very apreciated from 4 to 5 pm. Hotel should be tip top shape soon
