Tv only had 6 channels and they never cleaned my room once in my 3 night stay. Door that accessed the outside was pretty much ripped off the hinge. I have stayed here many times before but this was by far the worst.

Hotel is definitely dated, but overall clean and beds were comfy enough. It was nice having the casino and restaurants in the hotel. Waterslides would be more enjoyable if there was a hot tub.

Lots of dining options, and entertainment for the whole family. The rooms are dated and could use a renovation but it’s clean, and the beds are comfortable.

The staff was efficient and pleasant. Our room was very clean, comfortable and well decorated. The room was quiet, didn’t hear a thing outside our room.

Liked that my request to be away from the pool area was honoured.

This was not a good experience. The food was terrible starting with the microscopic appetizers that came in dixie cups and had a strange taste. The caesar salad was appalling and our lobster was over cooked. The breakfast again was very poor with dried pancakes, watery coffee and under cooked eggs. The hotel itself was outdated and needed much overdue maintenance but was acceptable. Our main concern was that the pool area was open to the rest of the main areas so there was ALOT of chlorine in the air which really irritated our sinuses and allergies. This design also allowed for constant waterpark noice all the time. The rooms were ok but the tv channels had significant distortion on and off. There was no hooks to hang up bathing suits, and the very small amounts of body wash and shampoo were very inadequate for all of us. Had we have known we would have bought our own. The final disappointment was the lack of hot tub which were clearly visible in the pictures even though it was not stated in the description. Overall a very strange experience.

All was good , right across the street from the mall

Hotel needs an update. Did not have room service, such as cleaning, while we were there and were not advised that there would not be a room cleaning. Balcony had no seating. The special offers were not available. This hotel needs some investment

Since a year ago when we last stayed at Medicine Hat lodge the condition of the hotel has gone down hill will not be back unless upgrades are made

This Hotel needs a major renovation. Everywhere you look is rundown, old decrepit furniture, walls crumbling, ripped carpet, torn blinds & windows so dirty you can barely see out of them. The pool area is beyond disgusting, I wouldn’t put my dogs there let alone children. The text you get welcoming you to the hotel saying you can text back for any needs, was not responded to when I asked if they had an iron & ironing board. Speaking of… there was no closet in my room to hang any dress clothes I arrived with for a work conference. Despite having to attend a yearly conference here, I will no longer stay the night.

My husband and I had visited the restaurant when dating and it was a great meal and time, now holds fond memories. When planning our first anniversary we decided to make the 4hour trip to the restaurant and stay at the adjoining hotel. After booking we were contacted to upgrade our stay to a romantic getaway package. As it only cost $75 and included a $75 gift card to the restaurant, a bottle of champagne and some romantic decorations in a jacuzzi suite, we jumped on it. When we arrived we were given keys to a regular suite and told that they’d give us a complimentary upgrade to a jacuzzi suite but would have to move the decorations and champagne etc. to the new suite ourselves. We’d paid for the upgrade so not sure why they said they’d do us the favour of giving us the suite we’d booked as long as we did the decorating and moving of additional things included in the package. Once settled into our room we took the gift certificate to the restaurant which was closed. We were told we could use the certificate at one of the two other restaurants on site. Family diner or bar. We ended up having bar food. The next morning we woke up in time to enjoy the “water park” which is definitely past it’s prime with numerous pools already boarded over and another soon to be. I provided this review to the hotel in hopes they’d attempt to make it right however no response was given.

Staff was pleasant and nice. The overall property is in terrible condition. Too bad the owners don’t keep it unkept and renovated. Food was terrible, the breakfast place is very dirty, stairways from floor to floor are very stinky and dirty. Needs a whole new facelift. Waterslides need to be completely replaced. Rust and wear everywhere.

Great water slides and pool for the kids, staff were great as well. The hotel and pools are aging, but priced accordingly. Would definitely stay again.

For offering a hot buffet it was dried out and cold but the juices were warm same with yogurt. Pancakes were so dry you couldn’t cut through them. Pool area had no towels even though there was an attendant there but he was on his phone even after several families complained about the towels.

The only saving grace for this property is the water park. The rooms and hallways are so dated and they have a smell to them similiar to a seniors home. Our curtains were falling off the hook when we checked in, the phone had no dial tone, no pressure in the shower.
Wouldn’t stay here again.
The pros: The water slides. Super fun few hours for the kids and I.
The cons: The pool towels are so thin they are basically see-through and we had to wait while wet & freezing for 20 for a new batch to be brought in. Property needs a remodel BAD. The complimentary breakfast is inedible unless all you’d like is an apple, yogurt cup, coffee and maybe a slice of toast. Eggs were strange, pancakes were hard as a rock, sausages were SO greasy, and hash browns burnt. We all had to go to McDonald’s across the street instead.

The location of the hotel was all right, the beds were comfy but it would have been nice if the fitted sheet fit the bed and stopped falling off every time I rolled over.
Now let's talk about the bathroom which was absolutely disgusting I highly regret not asking for a different room because there was black mold in the silicone as well as other tile cracks that had like what looks to be black mold. There was like a big chunk of paint missing on the bottom of the tub paint missing on chunks on the wall. I have a skin condition and I absolutely require a shower in the morning I had to lay a towel down on the tub floor just to feel somewhat more comfortable to showering. Or don't even get me started about the gross drop-down ceilings in the bathroom.
I should have complained more because I can't believe that I paid $150 for this my spouse and our son refused to shower in it because he said it was too disgusting.
Now on to breakfast, it was good for an included breakfast. My only issue was the dried out pancakes.
Pool area was alright. Getting a little run down as is the rest of rooms it seems as the hotel ages and doesnt update.

this place was terrible. All the hangers were rusty. The toilet paper holder was rusty the chair in the room looked like its never been cleaned one of the lamps was broken and had exposed wires and the Wi-Fi is restricted so you can’t hook up a laptop.

Great staff and the kids loved the waterslides and pool!! The free breakfast was way above average with real scrambled eggs ,sausages and hash browns to name a few items. Price can’t be beat !!

Hotel is pretty ran down. Needs some general maintenance. Waterpark is why we chose to book here.
Waterslides rough, hot tub has been broken for I want to actually say years.
Rooms outdated. Nothing special.

Every thing was very good, we enjoyed all the things at the hotel, the only small thing was breakfast no vegetables at all, no cheese at all but that was the only thing that bothered us beside that every thing was great.

Needs a Reno. This property has so much potential, it’s getting worn down very fast. Our room was straight out of 1985. Hot tub was covered and not open. No towels in the pool, or staff to watch people taking them back to their rooms. It was fine for one night but I will pay a little bit extra next time for another hotel.

The property is a little dated. Unfortunately we were beside the door to the mezzanine and the slamming went on quite late
However, the staff and servers were fabulous

The staff is super friendly. The lodge is located walking distance to a few shopping center and near the highway. The waterslides are fun and the highlight of the lodge (i didn't go in the Casino). The restaurants are good enough (like middle of the road good). The property could use a bit of updating and touch-up - it feels like a throwback to the late 70s/early 80s - which is not necessarly bad.

We are several times return customers. This hotel offers a whole family package - Swimming, hot tub, great for children. It has several options for eating. the food is very food. There is also a casino. There is a small shop for chips etc, manned by the front desk.
Check in was easy, in fact there was an on line check in - which we did not use.
The rooms ( we stayed on our way out to action, and our way home) were bright and cheery. The view outside was not great, but we were not there for the view.
The hotel offered all the usual in room conveniences. It is the ambience that we enjoyed.
We had one surprise and appreciated bonus - theatre tickets for Calgary
Any time we are in Medicine Hat, we will definitely stay here.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, but the room needs updating.
