Room was clean, area seemed safe, not far from highway, places to eat, quiet. I would stay again.

Our stay was okay but really bummed with the breakfast. Just coffee and prepackaged muffins. The tub didn’t drain, no coffee pot in room. Just the very basics.
3.7
Grateful to get squeezed in but the hotel was very dirty. There was shoes in front of door. There were socks and comb on the floor in our room. The floor was sticky and was bathroom dirty. There was dirty dishes in stub on the floor in the hallway. No coffee in the lounge area in the morning.

We didn’t stay we left, the rooms were filthy dirty and there was mold on the pull out sofa bed mattress.
The room stunk.

For a tennis tournament with a group at another hotel. My only complaint was that vending was only good choice at night and expensive. And breakfast was lame

Lady at check in was great. From there on out, no one was at desk. Checked in about 5, left immediately to go to a music festival . At midnight, when we finally went to our room, upon opening the door, it reeked like marijuana. There was no one to tell/report it to. Slept, showered & left. Still no one around.

Staff was not friendly. Room was dirty location was not ideal!!

We liked the room, customer service, and the area. We definitely be back to stay in the same spot. Thank you Extended Stay

room was dirty & had prior damage.

One of our two rooms was located by the “trash room.” Didn’t know there was such a thing, but let me tell you, it smelled as bad as you would guess. Inside the room, it looked ok but smelled like rotten milk. The pullout couch had yellow stains all over it, suspect hair and crumbs. The other room was occupied when we opened the door…window open, trash, bedding strew about…we were given a replacement room and upon turning on the light we saw bugs scatter everywhere. Off the bed, under the furniture. Needless to say, we didn’t stay and ended up just driving four hours home in the middle of the night. One positive was an understanding young man at the front desk. He is recommending a refund and we are currently working on getting that back from hotels.com.

The floor was very dirty, ask for it to bw cleaned and never was and had to clean it my self.

This was the worst experience I ever had at a hotel. Several issues from a deluxe room being the size of a dorm room, had to pay for upgrade. What hotel don’t have an iron in the room. Front desk says not all the rooms have an iron and it’s unprofessional for me to go asking folks who has an iron. How about you have a check out list/time so you know who has the irons. Icing on the cake we step out and return to our room that has many “roaches” crawling all around. We had to shake out everything put other items in garbage bags and left food items. The kicker no staff anywhere to be found for us to check out and request refund. Had to actually call local police to get assistance with getting someone there to help customers. No security on the doors folks just walking in/out. And they wanted to still charge me for the day. I had to find another clean and safe hotel in the area and pay again while I’m still trying to get a refund. I don’t recommend this place and I will never stay here again no matter what city.

very rude staff

Beautiful on the outside, out dated on the inside. Suites were not equipped with amenities. Third degree questioning when asked for sheets and towels. Check-in took over an hour at 3am. We are from out of state with children. This was by far one of the worst stays we’ve booked with Expedia.
3.7
Our room smelled like dog. Towels appears old, luckily we brought our own. The place has a lot of potential, needs a deep clean to say the least. They have grab and go pre packaged breakfast. No juice!! Have to ask for cups, plates, pots, a bed sheet and extra blanket. No hair dryer! At the current condition, I do not recommend staying here!
3.7
There was no internet when we arrived. It seems that they has a heavy rain that lasted a short time and took out their internet. Other hotels had internet but not here. The poor guy behind the desk was working there by himself trying to serve guests and on hold with the internet providers to get the internet back.
What I did like was that the room did not have rugs, compared to the other places we stayed where it looked dirty old carpets. We did find 3 bags of chips in a drawer and left them there, We would stay there again.
3.7
Underwhelming at the very least, the rating of 7.2 on Hotels.com was way overrated and we chose this because of that rating. A proper rating of 4 or 5 and we would have chosen a better hotel so this was very sad indeed.
3.7
This property is overpriced

We stayed 5 nights at this location during a road trip to see some friends. The location of it in relation to the activities we chose to do was definitely good - about 25 minutes to the zoo, aquarium, and even less to the Kenwood Towne Center mall. We loved having the kitchenette, especially the fridge, which is why we opted for a hotel like the Extended Stay. However, there was NOT A THING else supplied in the kitchenette area. No pots or pans, silverware, nothing. That seemed at odds with the theme of "extended stay," and was greatly disappointing. If this is how all of these are, then this brand gets crossed off the list for future trips.

The staff was very courteous, and the room was clean. What I didn't like was the bed and blankets. The bed was so hard I had a hard time sleeping. There wasnt enough blankets and you didn't have any more.

So ... let's start with this:
Despite having an absolutely abhorrent, abysmal, horrendous (I've run out of adjectives) stay at the Extended Stay America in Schaumburg, IL a few years ago (avoid at all cost; if I wrote a review it would be shut down), we decided to come back to this one. That's right. This is a second visit to this particular site.
As bowlers, Hubby and I travel a lot and it's expensive. So we look for bargains without trying to skimp on quality. Such was the case when we chose this particular Extended Stay America.
I've learned that there are 3 ES locations in Blue Ash (a suburb of Cincinnati). We've visited 2 of the 3, including this one.
Let's start with the good ...
The place is really, REALLY clean. Experiencing PTSD from the Schaumburg experience has my clean-o-meter working overdrive.
Service? Pretty good. Steven greeted us very kindly and even remembered that I phoned earlier to let them know we were coming late.
So, here's the "oh boy" part ...
Typically we ask for our beds to be made and towels changed. Not full housekeeping. Just made bed. Towels. This morning I asked Sue for such. Her response was, "Well that's not gonna happen."
Now don't read too much into that. She was very nice when she said it. She went on to explain that that's not how Extended Stay operates. LOL She then said that we had to stay 7 days to get housekeeping. When did ES become AirBNBs?
There’s more, but I’ve run out of room here Bottom line … not worth the money

I already informed that we need all utensils. No utensils provided yet.

I will stay again.

We stayed one night on July 4th, mainly because it is close to the Firework display in the Summit Park. The breakfast is simple, but for the price, we recommend it if you visit this area and prefer to stay in an affordable hotel with acceptable conditions.
3.7
No pool breakfast was mini muffins instant oatmeal coffee no real milk for coffee or oatmeal
3.7
Needs major repairs and staffing.
3.7
Homeless in property.
3.7
This property looks NOTHING like the pictures. Beds are smaller, sheets were stained, towels were stained. Was terrified to sleep.
3.7
terrible, staff and management is terrible. Terrible service. Roaches and bed bugs
3.7
Always a decent stay here. No surprises.

All good

Got told at the last minute that the room we needed was double booked. They did fix it by giving us 2 rooms with single beds or offer a refund but it was too late to book another hotel for our stay due to beijg a busy weekend. One room the dishwasher was rusted. The other room, their was roaches. The kickplate under the counter was broken and falling down. Room was DIRTY. Food left in freezer from previous people. Dog poop in middle of hallway. Multiple people were complaining at desk when we checked in. Said they had coffee pots available, but when asked for one "oh we usually dont have any" then he went back to check and said they were all to dirty to use at the moment. There was stains and dirt on the bedding. The brakfast only had coffee and packaged muffins.
3.7
terrible customer service roaches everywhere

Still haven’t received my deposit. Smoke detector was dangly from the ceiling. Not clean at all

My family had a wonderful stay! The staff was AMAZING, eveeyone was so kind. The room was nice and comfy, and the location was perfect for what we needed. The only thing I would say was not so great, was the floors. There was quite a bit of dust and crumbs on the floor in the kitchen area.
All in all ot was a really good stay!
3.7
Very good for the price. Don't plan on much of a breakfast. Small muffins, oatmeal, cereal bars, fig bars. Ran out of coffee.
3.7
As usual it was an awesome visit

It's clear that this hotel has minimal staff. The two employees checking in were also doing laundry service. The staff that were there were friendly and professional, but I'm willing to bet they feel over-worked and underappreciated. I did not see any cleaning staff at all and the stairways and hallways reflect the lack of cleaning staff. The carpets and walls were all dirty. It explains the inexpensive rates for the hotel. Also, we had to ask for linens for the sofa-bed in our room because the only employees on-site were checking in and doing laundry service so they obviously did not have the time to stock the linens in the room. In addition, there was a strong smell of marijuana in the third floor hallway, at least in the area where my room was located. It did not creep into my room, for which I was thankful, but it was very heavy right outside my door.
3.7
Staff was very polite and helpful, but our room did not feel clean. Beds were dirty on the corners. Roaches on the wall. Pull out had stains and was dirtier than the beds.
