Very friendly and helpful on reception. Lovely bathroom, nice size tv. All clean. The bed was uncomfortable for us, we're not used to springs! Other than that, it was a very good stay

The lady who checked me in was great.
There was one member of staff, a young man I think his name was Harry but not sure, he was very loud and annoying in the bar and his language when talking to other staff needs attention especially when your that loud, he clearly needs to do a Dignity at Work course.
All other points about the hotel were great, nice large, clean room, great parking, busy and tram stop right outside the hotel which made a good location to stay.
3.2
Cost 198 pounds for 3 nights room only. Room very small with small queen/double bed pushed hrd against wall. No out look (back yard) . No heating though radiator set at 5. Windows old and letting in draughts. Shower good though .Poor value for money spent .
3.2
Room was small and way too warm. Bed was really uncomfortable
3.2
Room was very dated and carpet hadn’t been vacuumed as found items under the bed. Good size room and bathroom. Pubic hairs and yellow stains found in the bath. Bathroom flooded from above when the room upstairs used their shower. View of a small yard and brick wall. Room very hot and unable to turn the heat down as there were no controls visible. Room door loose and not very secure and door opened onto one of the single beds which made it difficult to enter the room with our dog on a lead and our bags. Stains all down the wall where the tv was situated which looked like they were caused from water coming from the room above us. Advertised as pet friendly and yet we weren’t allowed in the food areas or bar with our well behaved dog. Will not be staying here again, very disappointing stay.

I booked 3 days and stayed one I wouldn’t leave my dog it’s awful

Always a great stay here at the Savoy, like home from home. Was given a lovely double room very cosy. Would highly recommend a stay at this lovely hotel.

Found the hotel to be depressing
Needs renovation, even a lick of paint would freshen it up.
Tv didnt work, asked reception, but said no one.in the building who could look at it!
No cash payment at the bar only cards
Only one sachet of milk on tea tray,
Breckfast 13.00 very over.priced , so we declined.
Even the budget price of 75 pounds a night wasnt wirth the say,

Service at reception was poor, the guy was trying, but seemed to have had little if any training, the lift was not working, people in their 80s, having to negotiate the stairs on there bottom, absolutely shocking, asked for a late check-out, maid banging on my door at 12 noon, not particularly late in opinion, I just grabbed my bag and left, awful place! just crap!!!
3.2
All good, free parking and the staff and hotel was very good
3.2
Nice hotel my room was clean and tidy. Didn't have evening meal but it was a really good buffet style breakfast. Tram stop, right outside. Needs some entertainment at night.
3.2
Got a refund and left as we had been camping for 5 nights before and wanted a clean nice place to stay . This hotel was far from that and though they have started refurbishing it it’s around 20 years too late
3.2
Staff very friendly, clean and tidy. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, pillows hard and lumpy.
3.2
I felt like I was staying in a proper hotel.
3.2
Omfortable thoughlack of any view due to windows breakfast very good.
Bathrooms could be better

On arrival at 1545 (I was advised check-in was 1500). I was told that my room was not ready. This was due to a late checkout from a previous guest which they paid for however I didn’t get a discount for the late check-in food for thought. I was eventually given the keys At 16:30 hours so I went to the room only to find the cleaners still cleaning the room they were very apologetic and embarrassed, I explained that it probably wasn’t their fault and made them feel at ease.
No fridge in the room.
Pigeon nesting right outside the window, making a noise all night which made sleeping Impossible
I am not normally one who complains but in this instance I think it is totally justified. I don’t want anything extra than what I paid for but I don’t see why I should be deprived of something because somebody else has paid for a late checkout and then I have to suffer a late check-in.
I welcome the thoughts of the senior management of that hotel
3.2
Run down hotel . Beds tidy and uncomfortable we did not get much sleep
3.2
Our stay was very good the problem we had was with the bathroom the water was very slow filling the bath no pressure and the shower didn't work. That was the only bad thing with our stay
3.2
I have rated the hotel based on how much we paid, which was very cheap.
Yes the hotel is run down, it's not easy on the eye but what do you expect for £40 per night.
We booked a standard double for 4 nights. The room we were given was on the 4th floor, there is no lift to this floor, you get the lift to the 3rd and then have to walk up stairs. The room was on the inside of the hotel (room 3386), it's a small room and the frosted window does not open. The room was so hot, to the point we were sweeting. The water pressure was also like a dripping tap.
The next morning we mentioned this to reception and they gave us a new room, this time on the first floor (room 118). This was a family room with 3 beds, it had a main bedroom and a separate room with another bed. It had 3 windows and all of them opened. The shower water pressure was very good.
The room condition wasn't that great, door was a nightmare to open and close but for the price we paid, this was great value, it made our short holiday much more comfortable.
We didn't eat at the hotel but we had a few drinks from the bar. Was ok and the only place you get free wifi.
Yes, no free wifi in the rooms, you need to pay.

Nice clean room only issue was shower hose not long enough to accommodate 6ft bloke had to crouch slightly to shower but no big deal
3.2
The bed was realy hard. The room needed updated. The toilet was not realy clean You gad to ask to get clean towels.Again the place needs updated.
3.2
Property was in an ideal situation for tram stop. Breakfast very good. Room was low cost but standard left a bit to be desired. Shower over the bath had no hand rails or grips to aid getting in and out. Large step down from bathroom also needed a hand rail. Bed was pushed up into one corner with a bedside cabinet against the bottom edge meaning that whoever slept by the wall had to climb over the person next to them or the bedside cabinet at the end of the bed.No reading lamps. No easy chair just one upright chair for two people. No toilet brush in bathroom. No toilet roll holder . shower gel holder was empty. Locked the door overnight difficulty getting out in the morning.(filled in maintenance card for room 240). Conflicting information between hand out we were given on arrival and information on cards in the room. Hospitality station was good but not enough milk . Was able to obtain milk from reception. A hand rail on the main stairs would have been helpful. All being said we would defiantly return to stay with you and had a Wonderfull few days away.

3.2
Bit dated , bar staff not very friendly rude need to be retrained but the manager was no better
3.2
I booked a double room and got a single room with a double bed and had to climb over the bed to get in the room and it took three days to get another room and I had to threaten them to get it
3.2
A great place to stay, good value for money.
3.2

3.2
Not expensive, in Britannia style not updated but suitable for price, good location and very friendly staff.
Comfortable clean beds and bathroom, overall not as bad as other reviews suggest. We would stay there again.

3.2
