Our stay at this hotel was an absolute nightmare and left us deeply disappointed. On our first night, we were given a room that did not match our reservation—a cheaper room than what we had paid for. This was unacceptable, but the problems didn’t end there. On the third night, our room lost power entirely, leaving us without electricity all night. When we sought help, the staff on duty showed complete indifference to our situation and were shockingly rude. This experience was beyond frustrating, and we strongly urge others to avoid this hotel at all costs.

Overall the hotel is very clean and the room is comfy. The condition of bathroom is great. The first day of my stay I ran into a cleaning lady that I did not get to know her name; she was very friendly and eager to help with directions. I also appreciate Julia the front desk lady and the breakfast area master Daisa—They are the most friendly hotel staff that made you feel like home. Also the breakfast is great! Both your appetite for savory and sweetness can be fully satisfied, while good coffee, tea, or juice await you. Highly recommended and I’d love to come back when I return to Florence again.

Great location near train station and Florence sites. Easy to walk to many locations and to/from the train station. The room was clean and surprisingly big! That was a really nice surprise as we had to repack our bags and we had plenty of space. Staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was simple but good. The only complaint was the small shower - I’m petite so I managed but my tall husband had a bit more trouble. Overall I would recommend!

It’s a bargain three star property. Staff and location are positives. Room size was very tight, but we were not there to stay in the room.

Too loud. In another room there was a couple doing things in bed other than sleeping between 2 am and 6 am. We could hear everything. Needs better isolation. I was with my daughter who is still a child and we could not sleep because of the noise. Imagine trying to explain to a child what they were doing…

The hotel is very nice, it’s decorated with antiques. Our only complaint was there weren’t proper plugs for us to charge our phones. It wasn’t until our final day that I discovered plugs for our chargers .

Nice location and very welcoming and helpful personnel.
Unfortunately the room and the bathroom are very small and badly maintained. An overall renovation would be appreciated to reach what can be expected of a legacy hotel.

This hotel was convenient, clean, with excellent staff. The hotel had comfortable beds with good linens and good air conditioning. Daisy ran the breakfast area with a positive attitude ready to greet you with a smile.

We enjoyed 4 nights at Hotel Galileo located close to many of the city attractions and a walking distance from the train station. The reception was extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. We will be back on our next visit.

Daisy was so kind and helpful. She is a wonderful team member.

Great booking, extremely clean, front desk is very helpful and accommodating. Very central to the historic district. It’s a little noisy at night, but I highly recommend this hotel.

The air conditioning is very very very bad. It was literally a nightmare to sleep. THE WORST

Smaller room than expected, but we had access to the downstairs lounge during the day to help cool off in the heat wave. Staff was friendly and breakfast was delectable. Great value and location to train station.

Reception wrote me on WhatsApp at 20:21 in the evening before or arrival saying they couldn't verify my credit card and would thus cancel my confirmed booking unless I update my info by 23:00. Card was valid with money on the account so there's no way to change info on an already confirmed booking. On hotels.com everything looked to be in order, and I showed screenshots for confirmation. The hotel staff showed zero interest in helping to solve the problem nor could he offer any reasonable solutions (as per hotel.com guidelines and common sense, I declined to my give credit card info over the phone). I tried confirming I was in fact coming to stay at the hotel the next morning but this was not enough of a "guarantee" for the hotel. Unable to comply with his unreasonable demands I assumed e would in fact lose or confirmed booking for the next day, which obviously is stressful. In the end, with no explanation or apology, it turned out it wasn't necessary to cancel our stay. This meaningless ordeal ended up ruining our last evening in Rome and was a complete waste of time. Hotel itself was alright, but their handling of this situation was extremely unprofessional.

We needed a quick extra night near the train station due to the train strike. A room was ready so they let us check in a little early. This was greatly appreciated!

This was a nice hotel that was walking distance to everything we wanted to do in Florence, close to the train station and close to all of the main tourist attractions. The breakfast they have is pretty limited, just a very small assortment of pastries, juices, and coffee. It’s good if you need something to eat in the morning, as we were unable to find any cafes open nearby (before 8am) unless you want to go to the McCafe near the train station. The room itself was decent, the bed was comfortable and quiet. The AC does not go below 25c. The area the hotel is in is also good, we had no worries walking back at night. I’d stay here again

It was nice, simple room. Close walk to the train. In a pretty touristy area but very walkable to pretty much anywhere you would want to go.

This hotel was the perfect distance from everything we wanted to do! The leather market, Michelangelo’s David, the Duomo, etc. - everything was conveniently walkable from our hotel. The staff were accommodating and checkin and checkout were fast and easy.

Close to train and clean. Nice rest room and bed.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. It allowed us to save time and money. Rooms were clean. It is an old building, so it will be nice to have insolation between walls. It could benefit from some remodeling. The guest next door had food poisoning, so he kept me up all night. You could hear him throwing up and flushing the toilet. Having ear plugs would have been a nice touch since the hotel is in a busy street. Beds were comfortable. You can walk everywhere. Location is perfect. We arrived by train and the hotel was about 10 minutes walk. Very convenient and friendly personnel.

Extremely overpriced, very poor breakfast, and a very inattentive staff who promised several times to fix the safe, bring more water, etc. and never came through. The staff need a real training session in customer care. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Central, clean and friendly staff with good breakfast Buffett. I was on business but would use it if I retuned for a city break. Good restaurants just a few steps away too

Please be aware there is absolutely no soundproofing at this property. We found the road noisy and especially the internal hallways. The door unlock system was extremely loud and you could hear throughout the entire floor.
If you wanted to turn the air conditioning on and off you had to call to the front desk. It is 24/7 but not really a viable option in the middle of the night when someone else is sleeping.
Room was very small.
Location was an acceptable walk from the train station and found walking the city easy enough throughout our stay.

Extremely kind and informative receptionist's! Room was clean and spacious. Took a lovely bath and slept very well here! Felt right at home.

Its great here, but beds are a little hard. Close to the train station. Its 10 minutes walk to where the fun is. Small, noisy streets. Romantic, classical looking rooms are just like a 1940s movie! Staff is so, so wonderful. Try La Gratella tratorria right around the corner.

Not far from local attractions and 5-7 walk to train station. Staff was very friendly and accommodate.

The location is amazing, just couple minutes walk to Accademia Gallery, Botanical Garden, main squares (Piazzale), and other attractions. We booked two rooms for us and our two daughters. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Cafes and restaurants are steps away from the hotel. Staff is lovely and goes out of their way to make your visit extraordinary. A heartfelt thank you to Daisa. She is amazing—pleasant and attentive in the breakfast room, making each of our mornings start wonderfully. Thank you.

Quick one night stay. Great reception, amenities and service. Florence is lively, so expect some noise at night. Recommendation: stay out and be part of the noise.

The room area is enough, not small. The street of the hotel is very crowded so it is little bit noisy at nights. Room equipments are not new and mini refrigerator is not included. The breakfast is good for an Italy hotel, not enough Turkish people but Europen people like this. The staffs ate friendly.
