Bar and restaurant staff were useless and uninterested in their work. Apart from the young man on the bar for our last night who was doing his best on only his second day. The food wasn't great either.
A very noisy hotel so little sleep over three nights.
I've given it a one star review as there's no option for zero stars.
In contrast oher Clayton hotels I've stayed at over the years have been very good.

Easiest check in! They sent an email a couple days before and I was able to check in online and use a kiosk to get my room key. But there was still a person who jumped in and helped with the kiosk. It was so fast and efficient. The room was very clean and quiet.

Staff was excellent at check in and check out.

This property needs updating. Bathroom small and needs updating. Towels old. Room dusty!
Hotel is large but needs renovation.
Hotel staff excellent.

Very clean, very polite and knowledgeable about the area
Room 104 did have a vent fan not working and slow drain that caused the floor to be slippery, but was otherwise a peaceful room.
360 Elevator was under repair but other one was functioning and not a long wait.

Rooms are a bit tight, especially for 3 adults, although they have a proper double bed and a single. Gets rather warm in the room and with no AC it was a bit stuffy. The hotel is a fair distance from the city as well, so not the best for a holiday stay.

Nice place

On Expedia the property is listed as having a swimming pool and gym. Turns out it's not part of the hotel and you have to pay extra to use the facilities. This wasn't communicated anywhere on Expedia.

Nice facility. Thought it was closer to downtown. Didn’t get any service in room until we requested it.

Super peaceful, true silence. I rested very well, it was perfect days.

Hotel was very clean and staff were very professional and friendly. However the price of your Buttermilk Burger is very over priced at €21. Definitely not worth that much......... Breakfast was excellent.

Moldy bathroom, broken bathroom door that wouldn’t close and a room had a bright light shining outside the window at all hours. 4th floor room had no A/C, which might have been fine if the windows could have been left open for a breeze, but the bright light left it so you had to choose between the light and the heat and humidity. Breakfast was expensive and not impressive. Only thing staff said to make it right was we could have our next stay free, but I would not stay here again.

Nice but can be easily improved

The hotel is well out of town so a car is required to get into town.
The hotel does have a restaurant on site

The room was ok...parking was very limited. Luggage can be dropped off at front, but then you have to carry luggage up several stairs to lobby. Front desk staff were not very friendly. Wait staff in bar area were not attentive and bartender was rude and seemed annoyed with us ordering directly from him. I'm glad we only stayed there for one night.

Lovely hotel and good location. Down for Springsteen concert and it was ideal. Would stay again

The rooms are warm and there is no way to control the temperature. The breakfast is not worth 15 euro per person. The quality is below standard.

A short stay
Comfortable

This hotel is desperately showing signs of age. Everything is worn or dirty. Elevators are out of order, huge stains on carpets, filthy floors and general dirt. Whoever owns this is either running out of money or a shameless business owner who has run it into the ground.

Hotel charged me the full cost of 4 rooms before I even had showed up (even though it was pay on arrival). Explained that it was company policy to charge people the cancellation rate before they had arrived (?!?). Staff were great in sorting it but really left a bad taste for me and my work colleagues.
Also company doesn't offer a contact point for complaints.

I did not like this hotel the front desk people were nice but both times I went to the bar the bartender was so rude maybe she was having a bad day but she was very very rude

Everyone and the breakfast was lovely there but the bed sheets were stained and dirty

I enjoyed everything. The only thing that let it down was the lack of bar staff during busy periods. You could be waiting up to 15 minutes to get served.

The phone in the room did not work. We had issues with hot water. Which was thankfully sorted.
As a regular visitor to Cork and Dublin, I always stayed at Maldron. This time as the family travelled with me, I chose to stay and Clayton.
There was inconvenience but it was sorted.
Maybe you should have offered us free breakfast or something to compensate.

Service in the restaurant was glacial at best
Menu is very limited and food the same

Hotel was crowded for an event with paper thin walls and noise from all rooms all night. Hotel looks tired and in need of renovation. The restaurant was over run and staff seemed in short supply and stressed. We were going to eat there but didn't like the look of it and headed to Cork. The price of this hotel does not reflect its standard

Its was a lovely hotel. Staff were amazing from check-in to check out. Room was spoiless. Plenty towels. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The fridge was empty, which i was delighted to see because i like to keep my water cold. I had a freat sleep, the bed seemed hard but as soon as my head hit the pillow, i was out like a light. Will love to go there again and would recommend it to ithers

We paided almost 300 to stay one night in this hotel and when we arrived the staff were friendly at the reception but as we tried to sit down for dinner the supervisor was horrible to the group we were with. We were left standing there for 20 minutes no one bothers to come up and apologise or inform us how long we’d be waiting. I understand if the place is understaffed or they were busy but the price we paid to be left waiting for almost 20 minutes and then to be met with rudeness was just added a sour taste to the stay

Hotel location is next to very noisey road , windows provide no insulation from noise. Parking is very tight. E-car charging not working. Elevation too small and only one so queing necessary. Stopped twice due to overloading. Three Staff in restrauraunt did not pay attention to guests. Bathroomin room had black mould on floor and between wall tiles. Sink blocked. Would never stay there again

Excellent location, quick and easy if you need to go on in the city or if you need to leave the city. Clean and quiet.
