Manager is not a people person. He had a attitude. He didnt say hi how can i help u. He said can i help u. With a ugly tone. As i went to leave then he said have a good day. He also talks bad about the employees infront of customers. Yesterday my key to the room wouldnt work. He wouldnt wait on me. He made the employee help me.

Manager checking us in was not welcoming at all. He was supposed to be training a lady, but didn’t educate once during check in. He was very demanding with instruction when it was given and she looked miserable and embarrassed. Toilet seat was broken and room door sounded like it was going to break when you opened it. There is also definitely a need for better and more outlets. Outlets were very loose and could potentially be a fire hazard. Definitely not worth the cost of a one night stay.

Upon arrival it took 25 minutes to get checked in, man working desk was evidently training a young lady. Although there was not much training to be seen. He gave her stern demands and she cowered and did as told. Finally when getting into our room, it was very dated. Paint coming off walls, broken entertainment center, carpet was so nasty I would even go barefoot. It was sticky was sticking to our shoes! Volume on tv went up and down all on its own. No outlets by the bed. Shower did have great pressure and hot water, however I could have done without the dirty handprints from previous occupants. I would not say it’s the worst place I have stayed but for sure won’t be shelling out over $125 a night for this stay again.
3.1
Very rude front desk help. Literally didn't want to ck us in 25 min. Early but finally did. Stood there for 30 min before he even came to the front desk. Hotel might of had 10 people staying there
3.1
It said it was a no smoking room, it smelled liked we were sleeping inside a cigarette box from the 70’s.
3.1
Rooms are very dated, no phone in room so you had to go to the office if you had a problem. Maid service was spotty at best. Vending machines did not work and you had to go to the office for ice. Office staff was very nice

Guy was getting arrested upon us arriving at the room next to ours. We were in room #833, it was so dirty. There was mold or something black all over the bath tub and the faucet was coming out the wall. The toliet would barley flush and wasnt bolted to the floor. The walls were filthy. It had spots on the pillows and hair. It was overall gross.
3.1
The toilet was leaking out onto to floor. There was mold growing around the bathtub. The hotel was in very poor conditions. Someone was getting arrested as we were checking in. Definitely will not be staying again.
3.1
Room 833 was not clean, toilet not secure to floor.
We did get a good night’s sleep.
The guy that runs the front desk is not a happy person and much too harsh. Didn’t eat at the restaurant because of the hours. This property really needs updates inside and out.

Reception was rude. And unhelpful

For the price thought it would be a little better the bathroom door would not shut looked like it was put on backwards there was no plastic part to the shower curtain so it was just a curtain that absorbed water no toilet paper holder and the TV didn't work nice big bed three tiny pillows bed was comfortable got the TV fixed it was very enjoyable water pressure in the shower extremely good shower curtain not so much didn't see any bugs

Evening Manager was very unwelcoming, sharp and blunt, to the point of rudeness. I tried to write it off as a bad day/long hours for him. But he was suddenly happy and cheerful to the group that were of a similar ethnicity to him, that checked in right behind us. They got the welcome side of the mat… we got the go away side. It was very apparent. I suggest people stay elsewhere and only visit for the restaurant. The restaurant is great. It has good Mexican food at good prices. The person running it was awesome, cheerful, even though he was extremely busy.
3.1
It was really awesome inside, too much to list. We arrived really late in the evening and had to leave early in the morning, so I wish we'd had time to enjoy all the available activities.
The manager went out of his way to get our two rooms together on the first floor after we arrived so late and exhausted that we weren't sure we could climb the stairs.
Great vacation stop. Highly recommended!

Some of the counter staff were a bit grumpy

The property outside was run down. But the room on the inside was nice. The front desk person was rude. There was a nice little bar and restaurant down the hall up front

Paid for a king bedroom. Was put in a room with a full size bed. My door did not lock. Told front staff and they said they had no compensation and wouldn't refund any money. Would not recommend at all.

Unique hotel,Friendly Staff
Clean
Hotel is old but that is what we liked about it was
a true cowboy hotel
Saloon, (from Gunsmoke) lots of memorabilia

First of all. Morris was good in juggling doing every duty in the hotel. The staff was horrible.
The first room we got was worse than horrible! “Abandoned” beyond filthy. My shoes really did literally stick to the nasty, gooey floors. It was a 1 bedroom suite. Bedroom had old sheets and blankets piled up on the floor. The kitchen cabinets had never been sealed! Incision a set of unfinished cans left outside in the rain to buckle. He gave us an “updated” room. He refused to give us a refund for the second night. We left anyway. It’s a NO

This was a creepy hotel - no one was staying there but a few people. Our room: no cool air, toilet would barely flush, toilet looked like it was coming away from the wall, dark, dreary, red velvet like covers and beds were like a bed with no springs. We ended up leaving and going to a different hotel. We did not feel welcome or safe there - two elderly women traveling alone
3.1
Outdated and dirty. The ring around the tub made it seem like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. It just needed some comet! We had been driving all day and I just wanted to shower and sleep. I had to put a towel on floor of tub to shower. My daughter and husband refused to use facilities. I would not recommend. I thought it would be cute western themed place to stay considering location. NOT worth it.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Old run down, absolutely gross!

We really enjoyed the decor of this place, especially to be in the setting of Dodge City. It has an excellent indoor recreation courtyard, with lots of activities for teenagers and adults. It also has a nice sitting area for adults, up above the courtyard.
Our room was clean and efficient.
The one drawback of this place, is that we arrived about an hour early, and they wanted to charge us $10 for an early check-in. I know some places do that, and they are certainly not the only ones.
But in our extensive travels, our experience has usually been that, if the room is ready, the motel is courteous enough to let you go ahead and check in.
It was a 100° day, and because of their refusal to budge on this, we ended up having to go back out and find something to do for an hour in the scorching heat.
If our room had not been ready, that would have been one thing. It was. The manager of the property walked out and said "It's a little early, isn't it?"
That was not professionalism in the least. And he needs to understand that customers will remember things like that.

The bed was fantastic, I slept like a baby

I loved the layout and the enviorment. Host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the town and its history.
3.1
The rooms have old carpet, wall paper, and fixtures from 40 years ago. There does not appear to be any renovations done in the past 4 decades except for a newer TV. The beds were also very old and springy. The hotel needs a complete renovation before I would stay here again. The indoor pool area has volleyball, basketball, arcade games, and ping pong which is nice.
3.1
Threadbare bed linens, holey washcloths. Light blankets.
3.1
Bed is not a king as reserved. Checkin was slow and fussy. Bad smell in room.
3.1
Desk clerk was asleep when I arrived, shirt unbuttoned, gut hanging out seemed irritated that I had awakened him.i didn’t like having a give a credit card, when I had already paid for the room. The hotel needs to be updated.

Horrable treatment by the manager

Since new ownership a year ago, major improvements have been made the past 6 months. Reviews written earlier than 6 months ago, should be disregarded.

it was different

Recreational area was very nice. Rooms were nice however there were cigarette burns in the blankets, bathroom floor was sticky, the cable tv cut in and out and the rooms were overpriced
3.1
Like all the memoribilia in the courtyard. The laundry for guests use clean and had new machines. Overall it was a good visit.
3.1
The western theme was great.
3.1
Hotel was old and dumpy, but bed was clean and comfortable.
3.1
Musty smelling, carpets disgusting, tv did not work properly, bathroom door broke, & door to room looked like it had been broke into.
3.1
It is not what it appears on line. Old, worned out, dirty, broken lamps in room. Staff was rude, as if I was an annoyance not a guest. They should demolish it and start all over including retraining the staff.
3.1
The room was nice size , tv in living room area did not work, but it was clean . The manager was not very friendly and argumentative when we asked about the tv. He came to the room to look at it and had an attitude with the other staff woman. The hospitality made it for an unpleasant stay..
3.1
My room smelled so bad and the floor was so sticky that I stuck to the carpet.
