Location was in a nice quiet neighbourhood, short walk to the sea. Lovely rooftop terrace and pool. Other great facilities at hotel. Friendly staff willing to help. Fantastic Asian restaurant you must try.

Area around the property is currently noisy and dirty but this is solely because of the construction works going on all around. Location is good for the Sliema area for restaurants, shopping, and transport links.

Location was great. Airport bus was a few minutes away and was also close to the rock beach. A few minutes on the bus to St Julian’s and Paceville. Shower water pressure was decent. Room was too hot for me and centrally controlled so I could not change it. Apparently a fan cooler could have been provided but only found out at checkout unfortunately. Breakfast was decent. Staff were very friendly. Internal pool was alright, but I imagine would be very busy in peak season. The external pool looked nice but I did not use that. Sauna was alright but not very big and in the evenings could not use it as a result. Steam room was even smaller than that. Overall I would definitely stay again, although I might be tempted to try the next door palace hotel to see if that is much different!

The Victoria is in a good location within Sliema, off the main strip where it could be noisy, though all the buses and ferries and all within 10 minute walk. The sauna and small indoor pool was good to use after a day walking around Valletta

Reservation for 3 person and received at midnight, already tired, a small room with 2 single beds. Need complain to get a bigger room with a sofa by end of 2nd day in a stay of 4 nights. Asked front desk for a wake up call 7am in day #1 and 6:30am day #4, but none were attended, putting in risk a delayed meeting at Queen Mary University in Gozo Island, 1:30h driving + ferry. And in the last day in risk to lose flight back.

We stayed at the AX Palace sister hotel last year, which is joined onto the AX Victoria, and it was very good. This year we decided to give the Victoria a try for our honeymoon. We couldn't book the room we wanted on Expedia, so we contacted the hotel to try and arrange an upgrade, explaining that it was our honeymoon, and that I'd be happy to pay for it. They said the hotel didn't have capacity at the time, but they would arrange something nearer the time. When we got there the person on reception knew nothing about this and wasn't able to offer us any form of upgrade. To cap it all, our room had a balcony, but the door was broken, so the cleaners would leave it unlocked and open every day. When asked why we didn't report this, I stated that the staff know there's a problem and should have dealt with it. On top of this, the breakfasts were not particularly good, compared to the Palace next door, and the breakfast room was rammed with tables, so they could fit more people in, which meant that people are constantly squeezing between tables whilst you are trying to eat. Frankly we ended up eating out. We won't be staying at the Victoria again - it wasn't particularly cheap, and they disregarded our requests, making our honeymoon less than memorable. I wish we had booked the Palace instead.

It’s an okay hotel, reception staff fantastic can not do enough for you. Located in a quieter part of town. 10 minuet physical walk to the sea front. Taxis use Uber very cheap and arrive in 1 minuet. Incredible restaurant on the 9th floor with city views amazing service. Very very well priced for the 5 star food and service. Talk of the town restaurant connected to hotel are plain rude. Breakfast is nice with loads of choice and great breakfast staff. Value for money was great. Better than expected. Not a young persons hotel. Couples perfect. Family’s with young kids not ideal.

Good central location. It's not on the waterfront but only a 5 minute walk away from the sea. I was upgraded to a beautiful suite in the building next door (also next door to a hospital) and offered a cocktail at the bar thanks to my Hotels.com status, which was a very nice surprise. The breakfast was ample and varied, the staff all very polite and helpful. Didnt get a chance to experience many of the hotel facilities, sadly.

Visited several times before. All part of same complex as The Palace and access to all the same amenities - just slightly reduced choice for breakfast and slightly less luxurious rooms - and reflected in the price. Overall highly recommended. Particular thanks to the team who were always very helpful.

Excellent hotel with faultless service. I travel a lot with work and can honestly say this hotel is a straight 10. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was superb. Location is extremely convenient to get around Malta. No need to hire a car especially on a short stay.

The victoria is a fabulous hotel service first class and food well you had such a vast choice and nothing was to much trouble for the staff Rooms were very clean spacious and decor very nice beds comfy and spacious on site parking which made it so easy as parking around area a nightmare Room service we used was fab to any time and very well priced pool and gym facilities etc also superb Great for a city break close to sliema ferrys to cross to valletta and bus stops all close by loved it 👍

A great hotel in a great location. Breakfast was excellent though the staff were a bit too keen to remove your plate. They would stand next to you, waiting for you to finish. Some don't speak good English so it was hard for them to understand when I asked them to wait a few minutes after people finish eating.

The hotel room was okay, not amazing but decent enough. The aircon didn’t blow cooled air so we needed an additional fan in the room to keep it cool. The room was slightly dated but comfortable enough and had everything needed.

This is a lovely hotel, although relatively new it has some old school charm. The staff are beyond friendly and nothing seems to much to ask them. The buffet breakfast was typical with continental, English and fruit options. Great pool and other facilities.

Завтраки однообразные, на третий день подряд от яиц воротит. Ни блинов, ни каши. Огурцы все дни были горькие, морковка забродившая, кофе быстрого приготовления из порошка. Хороший бассейн на 9 этаже, вид на остров. Матрасы с ямами, ни разу не выспались. Местоположение отличное.

Only thing I liked at this hotel was the roof top pool. I would never stay here again. My room smelt like sewage, water would not go down in the bathroom sink, the bathtub leaked heavy water that ran into the hallway. I needed to use up all my towels to clean it up every time. Lack of towel service made this a problem. After being out all day, I would come back to my room with no towels available. I had to go up to the roof top pool and get beach towels in order to shower. That's just ridiculous! When I complained, they moved me to another room and than the TV didn't work, Their solution was giving me a bottle of prosecco the next day which the cleaner ended up taking from my room when I didn't even open it. It was returned but that was annoying. The hallways are carpeted. They were super old and dirty, which created a unpleasant smell. Did not matter what floor you were on. The breakfast was not good. I would not recommend this hotel when you visit Malta or plan to stay in Sliema. This hotel made my vacation stressful.

The professional and courteous service experienced throughput our trip from all hotel staff was exceptional. A special mention for Charles on the front desk, whose welcome to the hotel was the most professional, sincere and helpful I have witnessed in any country. The room was okay however the air conditioning wasn’t the best. The rooftop pool area is stunning and served well. Highly recommend the Asian restaurant in the adjoining Palace hotel. Lovely setting, beautiful food, stunning views of Valletta and 5 star service at reasonable prices. Great location for Valletta, Sliema and St Julian’s.

It is a great hotel. The breakfast is extensive and delicious and the service is almost TOO good (my plates got taken away silently whenever I wasn't looking). The room was silent at night, very peaceful compared to seafront hotels, even though the neighbourhood is not very interesting. Eco-friendliness - I was surprised to see single use plastic bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the room). Really, in 2022? The biggest let down was the fitness area: a key reason why I booked the AX Victoria. The cardio equipment is pretty worn out. The weights are too light for serious strength training. At least it is on the 7th floor, instead of a windowless basement room!
