Quiet hotel and clean room only for the heavily stained carpet in the room, though good parking and access to close by amenities

Although it was clean and staff were friendly the whole hotel needs lots of TLC to bring it up to a good standard. The coffee machines are not good

Room was of an excellent size with good facilities ie ironing board and iron, hairdryer and tv. We had food in the evening too much of the menu was not available and also no post mix. Bread roll that came with the soup was far too hard. Breakfast was quite a good choice of cereals, juices, yoghurt, toast and full English. The beans were cold and hash browns were soggy. This hotel served a purpose for us but we wont stay again

I recently stayed at Knowsley Inn and Lounge, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Check-in was impressively fast and efficient, allowing us to settle in quickly. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The location is ideal for anyone visiting Anfield, as it’s just a short 20-minute drive away, making it easy to catch a match without the stress of long travel.
The overall atmosphere of the inn was relaxed and inviting, with a lovely lounge area to unwind in. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the quality of service provided.
I would definitely return to Knowsley Inn and Lounge for future visits; it’s a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the local area, especially football fans. Highly recommended!

Family room beds are not a decent size for families with teens. Don’t think our room had been cleaned. A dirty glass lying and also found someone’s spectacles under the bed. Lights off the smoke alarm flashed all night. Room Door didn’t close on its own (fire safety) Shower was poor. Bathroom wasn’t clean. Towels didn’t seem fresh in fact felt a little damp and had to ask for towels as there were 4 of us and they only provided 3. Service at the bar was awful. No change either in till. Staff not that friendly either. Didn’t ask how our stay was or anything at check out.

We arrived to a warm welcome. Went to room and lights didn’t work, tv wasn’t working so checked remote, no batteries. Went to reception and got batteries, tv still didn’t work. Remote control sensor on TV had been poked though into TV.
Went to dinner in restaurant. Expensive meal for what it was and also waited 1hr 45mins for meals to come out at different times. Kids meal was cold.
Multiple complaints to staff who seemed very overwhelmed. Kid didn’t eat meal and had to go out to get something. We had a long drive dow to hotel.
Think there needs to be some investment in maintenance as many guest complaint about lights not working, tv not working, shower not working etc.
Won’t stay here again.

We always use this hotel when we go to Anfield. It’s always great

Great place to stay, staff are so friendly and welcoming, couldn't do enough for us.
Service with a genuine smile, but then it is Liverpool best city and people in the world

Quick stay for for an early appointment.
Not quite as clean as you would hope, but pretty good overall.

Overall very nice. Building old but renovated. Staff very polite and helpful.
Hotel a bit far from town if no car. We took uber so costs added up.
I would stay again.

Desk staff were friendly & helpful. Room was clean, but was needing updated. There was a smell of damp, in the corridor & room where we stayed.

Tbere was no breakfast chef's in the building so no choice or change to what is being served, my room 212 was clean but when turning the light switch off it gave you a electric shock a hell of a belt. Tv in room you had to turn it over manually as the remote didnt work even after changing the batteries. On the hole a average stay just somewhere to get your head down at least.

Very limited veggie food options, no vegan stuff.
2.0 / 10.0
The positives are the rooms are a good size and reasonably comfortable.
The negatives are it’s pretty manky. Regularly having to ask for a clean glass at the bar and same in the restaurant with utensils and plates.
Staff seemed very undertrained and not enough staff as they are receptionists, bar staff and waiters all in one. Must be a tough gig for what they’ll be paid
It was handy for where I was going from it but that’s it. Would t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great value and ok location for travelling into city centre. Staff limited and need more so not always available. Website not clear on when food is available. We had to complain due to other guests smoking and being noisy during the night.
Not the cleanest of hotels but again probably down to limited staffing

Great hotel. Very nice stay. Staff were really good.

Good rooms and good value for money.
Only one lift which is really slow, but if you don’t have heavy luggage the stairs aren’t an issue.
It’s not that close to Liverpool but as we had a car we knew this before we arrived.

Fair accommodation for the price. Food options were plentiful. Liam was particularly good/professional at the bar and the morning shift!
8.0 / 10.0
Basic hotel. Bedding was slightly soiled in places. Bathroom needs attention.
Breakfast! Wouldn’t entertain again. Limited choice. Eggs powdered, hash browns tasted stale and plastic particles found in the mushrooms. We only ate the toast and jam, not really worth £9.95!!!!! Would we stay again? Probably not

We didn't stay. The toilet doesn't flush properly, window is broken. TV doesn't work. Dirty mug and the bathroom was dirty. The fan in the bathroom was on all the time even when the lights were off. Room was cold because the window didn't shut properly. Rather than stay we left at 1am and drove 2 hours home. Staff were nice, we didn't see the point in telling them about the room, we would rather just get home.

Bathrooms need maintenance. The grout between the tiles in the shower need to be replaced and shower door has mildew at the bottom. Basin plug needs to be replaced. Taps are stiff and the basin plug in my bedroom was rusted. I asked the maintenance guy for another basin plug but he never delivered one. Carpets have stains below the counter top.

I booked the Knowsley Inn because it was close to Knowsley Safari Park. That was the only good thing about it. The staff were friendly enough but sometimes they were not on reception. The room was tired and needed some maintenance. Loose toilet seat, leaking tap, cracked tiles. We paid in advance for breakfast. Wish we hadn't.

Hotel good, food great, spoiled by a loud filthy mouthed couple in the bar. Not the hotel’s fault , But should have been shown the door.

Average hotel with average facilities.
Paid £61 for twin room so average deal for the price.
Food was average also.
Ordered a beef lasagne but think the beef was forgotten.
Dish consisted of cheese, pasta and sauce.

Great staff but severely understaffed, room carpets with many stains. Food wait was ridiculous due to lack of staff, many customers chasing food and drinks which seemingly had been forgotten about. When the good arrive it was so overcooked, we sent it back and just got a refund.

Though we needed to change rooms because of a leaking toilet, we had a pleasant stay. The room was very spacious and clean. The receptionists were always helpful and obliging. A special mention to Liam for his cheerfulness.

Friendly staff and nice open foyer, bar/restaurant. Breakfast was good value. My only gripe was how uncomfortable the bed was, but hopefully that is a one off and they are not all like that.

A great quality hotel at a great price. The hotel was in excellent condition with friendly helpful staff.
The breakfast was amazing with a good selection of well prepared food items.
The only issue we had was some guests returned to their room in the early hours of the morning talking loudly and then spent a good number of hours opening and closing their room door in a loud fashion.
Otherwise we would definitely stay again and would wholeheartedly recommend it as a good place to stay.

Really convenient and well priced. The rooms are lovely and the staff were very friendly.
If i had to say a negative. The breakfast was boxed off in the corner and could've been somewhere spaced out a bit more so guests aren't walking all over eqch other. But only a minor negative.
