Awesome hotel! Close to ruins. Really comfortable

Beautiful accommodations so close to the ruins. I should have stayed longer.

Tourist hotel. Rex is great.
Definitely stayed for convenience to the pyramids due to young kid, and was pricy but worth it.
Breakfast was amazing.

The lodge was exactly what we wanted, a place to stay on the edge of Uxmal that allowed us easy access to the site. The staff is well trained and caring. The concierge whose name I think is Luis hooked us up with the wonderful guide Wilbert. All good memories from this place.

There’s not a better place to stay while exploring the Ruta Puuc. Room was immaculate and attractive. The restaurant served food and drinks that ranged from good to excellent. Ultimately the convenient access to Uxmal and nearby sites make this a great spot. The only negative is WiFi and cellular signals are minimal once you enter your room.

The Lodge is conveniently located, right outside the gates of Uxmal, meaning that you can walk to the site as soon as it opens to avoid the crowds. The first room we were given had lots of dust on the bedframe and other surfaces and looked old and dated. It also had mould on the ceiling. We requested a move which was freely given and the new room, which was closer to reception, was much better. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and looked after us well at dinner and breakfast, including providing vegan options for one of our party. The sister property, which is the Hacienda located 5 minutes walk away looks beautiful. If we went again, we would probably prefer to stay at the Hacienda, though there is no restaurant there.

We had a lovely stay at The Lodge at Uxmal. Very conveniently located right at the entrance to the site. The rooms were very comfortable, with wide verandas outside each room with seating areas. It was very pleasant to sit outside our rooms in the mornings and evenings, reading and admiring the birdlife. The property was lovely, with beautiful grounds and a smattering of two-story thatched-roof buildings surrounding a couple of (very refreshing!) pools.
The sole drawback is that the restaurant is outrageously overpriced. Breakfast (included in our room) was tasty, but the dinner is literally three times the price of comparable restaurants in the area. I understand that is not all that unusual for a hotel, but it still felt egregious.

The Lodge at Uxmal couldn't be better located to experience Uxmal and other wonders of the Ruta Puuc. Uxmal itself is literally a walk across the driveway. As for the Lodge, the property was a series of contradictions. The included breakfast was excellent and the service delightful. Dinner is served under the same giant palapa, but was something of a mixed bag. The spa services advertised online weren't available during our three day visit. The grounds are being maintained, the pools are impressive and our room well appointed, if a bit dated in the bathroom. Porches with carved rocking chairs and benches front every room. But still, the whole place carries an air of neglect or indifference, as though a classic property from the golden age of travel was just waiting to be nudged into the modern era. Perhaps we were traveling in low season as we were but two of what appeared to be about ten guests. We walked across the highway to check out what we took to be the Lodge's sister property, the Hacienda, and it was even more deserted. Overall the experience was fine, even great in some respects, though just not quite what we were expecting based the materials available when booking the hotel. That said, we would stay here again for the convenience to Uxmal, the pools and overall ambiance, just with adjusted expectations.

A pleasant stay except that water was not available once briefly on our first evening and then for a longer time in the next morning preventing showers before departure.

This was wonderful -- the location couldn't be better, the staff fantastic, and the facilities great. Strongly recommend.

Wonderful room with large windows. Nice pool and good restaurant. The most amazing was a view of the pyramids from our deck.

Property is nice, beautiful swimming pool, great location at the entrance of Uxmal. However, very noisy : we could hear our neighbors all night long as well as some vehicles.

Our room, advertised as "royal mayan bungalow" was basically a motel room, hugely over-priced; carpet was stained, toilet did not work properly, AND there was a dead frog on the floor. As for the restaurant, mediocre food at very inflated prices.

The staff was very very nice. Luis gave us a wonderful tour of the Lodge’s ‘sister’ hacienda - & lots of their fruit, and he arranged a guide for the Uxmal site. Restaurant staff was great. The atmosphere is quite constructed - something closer to the original environment might have been closer to my taste; but this is very easy to settle into

This is our third time staying at this hotel. It never disappoints! The rooms are large, well-appointed, and very clean. There is a fridge, safe, bottled water, and robes in every room. The pool area is also beautiful, clean, and has many chairs and lounges. Great place to unwind after a hot, humid day at the many ruins in the area. As for the bar and restaurant they are excellent. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and available. You need for nothing. We will definitely be back again!

Beautiful place to stay right next to the ruins however, the food is not very good

Staff was warm and welcoming. Food at restaurant xouod be better for the extremely high prices. Additional furniture pieces to lay clothes would be. nice. I am. ot sure how someone could lay out luggage if they brought at least two carryons. Bathrooms MUST be swept and cleaned.

Great place, well organized and clean. Excellent areas for relaxing and many activities around, if you like to know about Mayan history, you will find a perfect place, just walk to Uxmal and for chocolate lovers.... you can walk to the eco-friendly chocolate museum. My family 👪and I, loved it.
Clean, organized, friendly people and good customer service with a lot of knowledge of Yucatan. We will back 😃👍

The Lodge at Uxmal is a diamond in the middle of the Mayan jungle. This is a quiet and comfortable property and the people are very welcoming. A full breakfast delivered to our room was delicious with fresh squeezed juice and omelets made to order. The bed was comfortable. The onsite restaurant served delicious food for every meal we had. Highly recommended.

Great hotel with great amenities. Walking distance to the Uxmal ruins. Great service and great food. The food is a little overprice but it was good.

Pandemic hit hard this property. Nice suite but the maintenance is awful and the food overpriced and just bad.
Concierge extraordinarily good. Only positive star.

We stayed two days at the Lodge at Uxmal, and really enjoyed our stay. You can see the Uxmal ruins from the Lodge and they are amazing. We also went to the Chocolate museum across the street, and it was very nice, too. The only sad thing is that you can tell that the pandemic has really hit this area hard. There were only a couple of other guests besides us, and the Lodge is a bit of a faded resort, needing some repairs. It's sister resort next door, the Hacienda was even closed when we stayed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was definately worth the stay.

This place is a complete fraud.
The room is awful the bed is terrible completly hard, the quality of the bathroom is really terrible conditions and dicusting.
They told us there was a spa in the hotel and it was not true.and when we arrived there was terrible service and everything was closed.
The food is really expensive and the quality of it is a joke
We had a really bad experience

I stayed just one night (at the beginning of the Covid 19 time) before returning to the States; can't say enough about this exquisite lodge!! Staff was super helpful and accommodating; my room was immaculate and super comfortable! I booked a room with a jacuzzi and it was awesome after spending hours at the Ruins which, by the way, are directly across from the hotel....super convenient. Highly recommend.

Super stay at the lodge at Uxmal. Great poolside lunches, quiet dinners, planetarium, riding through the fields in a 1974 truck! climbing the observatory. Luis Chan (Rex) is quite possibly the best concierge I have ever had the pleasure of being around. He gets things done. thank you so much. p.s. they graciously changed our reservations due to covid19 changes

Wonderful hotel. very quiet. pleasant touch was a welcome drink on arrival. However, there are only a couple of other hotels within walking distance - so limited external options for food - but food and service at the hotel is excelent.

Great location right across from Uxmal entrance and walking distance to Choco Story. Lovely pools. Friendly staff.
5.0
This Lodge is less than 100 meters from the Uxmal archeological site and about 400 meters from the Choco-Story museum and wildlife center. Both are terrific places to visit. Having gone only 2 days prior to Chichen Itza, and finding it a huge disappointment, what a relief to have the exact opposite experience at Uxmal. The staff, particularly in the restaurant, were outstanding!

The biggest problem with the hotel? The staff try to scam you. When I arrived, a staffer by the name of Rodney checked me in. I inquired about transport to sites such as Celestune, Kabah and other archeological sites. He said he would have to call a taxi. The price for the taxi was overly inflated. For example, Kabah is 20km down the road, and the taxi that he volunteered to call for me (it seemed more that he was calling a friend who had a car)would cost the equivalent of $55. He told me an equally ridiculous price for a car to Celestun. I don't understand how a resort can claim to cater to tourists and not have any connections whatsoever to legitimate tour operators--or even recommendations for how to contact a tour company. Like, seriously, am I the only person who has ever stayed at this hotel who wanted to do more than sit at the hotel? I was baffled
I told Rodney, the hotel staffer, I would consider the prices. He then walked me to my room and told me, "You know, I have a car. I have a family, and I need the money. I could do the tour for you tomorrow when I get off work." I am sympathetic to someone needing money, but this all seemed like a scam to me. He also offered to transport me to the airport on my day of checkout for an overly inflat
