This hotel is one of the best stays in the city. So close to the best shopping, dining and things to see. But more importantly the staff were amazing! Service is impeccable and dining with views was so beautiful on the rooftop! A must stay and will be back!

This hotel has horrible service standards.

Shower valve was stripped. Very difficult to turn water on. Once the water was on, it was scalding. Took almost 10 minutes to get to a tolerable temp. Can’t imagine housekeeping was able to clean the tub/shower area without turning the water on. If they had, they would’ve discovered the stripped shower handle. Notified the desk and no one ever followed up with us. Gansevoort will charge full price for a room with a barely functional shower.

Great hotel and location. Downside was that the pool was out of commission and they did not attempt to discount the facilities fee since no pool. Other then that great hotel.

Booked the hotel for pool and then it was under repair with no notice

Few days in nyc for work. Location was great, staff were friendly. Flawless room. Room service was a little slow but otherwise a great base

For an expensive hotel, the service was sometimes grumpy. We had to ask three times for the third bed in our room to be made up which was very annoying because we got back quite late from going out and had to wait while they made the bed up
I would say it is slightly dated/tired,the light switch broke in our room and only one USB port worked out of four Which was very annoying considering there were three of us in one room.
Having said all that the pool and terrace at the top are really stunning. It is a great area to stay in.

This is hands-down my favorite place to stay in Manhattan because you can walk to shops and restaurants all around the hotel. They also have a heated rooftop pool with amazing views. It’s about three stops from Penn Station, and then a few hundred feet from the subway. The hotel rooms have always been clean and modern. The staff is so nice. I usually tip them even when I don’t have to because they’re so welcoming. I don’t want to stay anywhere else when I come to NY.

The service was fantastic our entire stay - the room layout and view was perfect and the neighborhood is great

The roof top bar was a wonderful experience at sunset. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay.

Good area but very mid hotel. The walls are so thin you can hear EVERYTHING in the room next to you. It’s truly awful. We were kept up and woken up early by things we would rather not have to hear.

I love how dining and great shopping is steps from the hotel entrance

I would definitely come back again

We stayed at Gansevoort for 2 week. Location fantastic. Staff completely absent. We discovered hotel facilities and all around opportunities by ourselves . We are used to get a completely different and higher service level in a luxury hotel. Double beds very small: enough for 1 person , no more

Just disappointed that the pool is out of bounds after midday for children would have been nice to at least 3.00pm I understand that adults drink and party but if you allow children then maybe extend the hours slightly

It is a beautiful property and the staff is excellent. You are treated here with kindness and respect. It has great amenities and is in a terrific location. I definitely want to come back! !

Always great staying there.

We loved the Gansevoort! The pool area is a great bonus and the neighborhood isn't crowded at all. Definitely will be staying there again!

Disappointed that VIP status was not recognized. Had to remind hotel at checkout

Room wasnt the cleaniest. Tv was glitchy. Staff at checkin was wonderful however

The rooftop pool is mind-blowing. The ‘no kids after noon’ policy is fantastic, offering quiet and peace for adults. The staff is friendly and helpful. There’s plenty to do in the area, which is beautifully charming with brick roads and old-fashioned lamps. Perfect vacation for our anniversary!

the hotel was noisy but in a great location

You can’t beat this area in New York City. Located in the centre of the vibrant Meatpacking District. The area is vibrant but livable and relatively quiet compared to other parts of New York. The High Line park is steps away as well as Chelsea Market. Easy walk to West Village. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel roof top and pool area could use an upgrade. Towels and amenities in hotel room can be improved. They charge you for use of Nespresso machine and pod. Seriously? Hotel enjoys a great location. So they can act like a five star hotel but are really barely a four star hotel. Would stay there again only because no other options in that neighbourhood at the same price point.

Everyone at this property is extremely nice. I was greeted at the desk with a smile and this continued for the entire stay. Even the staff in the restaurants are super nice.

One of my favorite locations in NYC. Hotel is updated and comfortable. Air conditioning was nice and cold for a humid day in August. Rooftop area much smaller than photographed and rooftop bar and lounge not open during my stay which was the beginning of the week. I didn’t see that advertised so it was a disappointment. Otherwise, a great stay!

Great hotel with pool. Kids allowed in pool up until 12noon. Good location with easy access to subway and Manhattan. Only complaint would be good to have slightly larger beds.

A very nice hotel in a great area. Note every employee was super friendly. And one complaint: A resort fee of USD 35, per night was charged: For WiFi, elevator, pool. A strange way to raise price. At least the air was without charge.

Great hotel in lovely location with really attentive staff. Disappointing that the roof terrace was shut on a Monday and no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Otherwise highly recommended

Great family one-night getaway from CT! The kids were able to enjoy the pool and we had some grown up fun at the rooftop bar. The location is perfect as it’s close to many attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was comfy with great views of the city.

This was our second time staying at the Gansevoort. Great location. Great hotel. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back again!

My girlfriend and I spent the weekend here and we loved it. It is a great location and very walkable to everywhere we wanted to go.
The rooftop pool was a great bonus.

The property is very nice and staff were helpful. Although, it was upsetting how children can’t be at the pool after noon and the pool wasn’t heated. Also, the “ VIP” it’s not even worth it.

Great area. Close to shopping and restaurants, museums and the high line, soho.

Gansevoort Meatpacking district is our go to hotel in NYC. It was our 3rd stay and we are always greeted with such kindness. the staff is so helpful - extra shout out to Marcel. We love the neighborhood and view from room of the Hudson and from the pool is fabulous. Rooms are so comfortable and clean and look forward to staying there again.
