Beautifully renovated chateau, combining a thoughtful mixtiure of period features with modern touch. Our room was lovely but rather compact (we only stayed 2 nights so that was fine). We had views of front garden (impressive cedars). Super vista from the terrace and a great outdoor pool. Breakfast was very good but pricey 24€ pp.daily, served in the pavilion accessed by an underground passage. Reception staff were super helpful.

Truly wonderful stay. The Chateau is beautiful, the grounds are idyllic, the pool is fantastic and the restaurant is delicious. The room is very spacious and comfortable. And the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. I'm fact the staff were all terrific! We will stay again and again on our drives down to the south of France.

The rooms are lovely. We stayed in room 16 in the house next door to the main building. It was well decorated and comfortable.
Aircon was not the best we have had. It didn't really cool the room down.
Dinner was nice. A bit on the expensive side, but the rooms were very competitively priced.
The pool is beautiful and the location perfect for a stop over.

Despite booking months in advance, our 3 rooms were far apart, chateau/stable block/musty outbuilding. Air con did not work in all the rooms. The place was infested with mosquitoes. Everywhere. They should replace butterfly logo with mosquito. In rooms, when we walked between rooms. Impossible to sit on terrace. Had to have windows closed and spray with us the whole time. We had been staying in another beautiful chateau nearby before, no mosquito problem. When we left, the hotel ran my credit cards 4 times saying they didn’t work. They did! It took a month on daily hassle to get the money back (thousands of dollars), they knew their error and never reached out to me once. When I eventually reimbursed, they short changed me! No, apologies, no offer of any compensation. Also, a Kindle was left outside and we asked the desk if it had been handed in and they said no without looking. We had to leave for airport but our friends asked later and it had been right there in reception along. Food was good though - had to be inside with all windows closed and citronella candles everywhere.

Lovely chateau set in woodland. A la carte restaurant quite expensive. We walked to local bakery for breakfast. Staff friendly. Pool. Lovely grounds Forrest walk. Room a bit on the small side but clean and comfortable. Event on Saturday meant some noise out side our room.

Great service and elegant building. The service is impeccable. We stayed for two nights at the end of May.

Lovely property and the staff is wonderful. We enjoyed wine on the terrace until chased in by rain. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the restaurant especially since our server assisted with wine pairings.

Absolutely amazing chateau - best of all the ones we stayed so far! Julie at the reception was particularly nice.

The restaurant was superb; food was delicious. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. Nice pool, needs more pool furniture as it was all being used and we had to sit on the ground on a towel. Check in was interesting. I booked for 2 rooms as we were travelling with friends. I completed a pre-check in form and shared we were on our honey moon. I pre-paid for both rooms in advance. Upon check in, our friends were told they got a room upgrade. Although the couple that booked and paid for it and was on their honeymoon didn't. We had prebooked and confirmed a taxi through the hotel in advance as we had a wine tour we would be taking out of Tours. The taxi never showed. The receptionist wasn't very helpful in the morning as we waited and waited. We ended up taking our car to the tour office at the last minute, otherwise we'd be out 1000 euro. As such one of our colleagues had to then drive and could not participate in the wine tasting. There was no accountability taken by the hotel staff, just a dismissal, "oh well, no big deal you made it to your tour anyway." As a result of the change in plans due to the driving we opted to cancel our dinner plans and return to the hotel for dinner. They couldn't accommodate us until 9pm. The answer was "well you don't have a reservation" naturally. we didn't as our plans were to dine in the city and take a taxi. Room service and restaurant bills were wrong at check out and need sorting. Feels more like a B&B than a 4 star hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed a couple of days with my wife and daughter on this beautiful property. Staff were very professional and helpful, and put up with my attempt at speaking French, although most of the staff did speak English.
We had dinner at the restaurant on the outside patio on a perfect summer evening in July, and each of us were more than delighted with the quality of the food and service.
We stayed in the westernmost outbuilding which was a charming farm house with about 5 units. Our ground floor suite had its own small deck with a patio table and two chairs which opened out onto a secluded lawn area. If there are any negative comments to make, being very picky, I would mention that the area of the property where our deck opened did receive some traffic noise from a nearby highway as well as the occasional train swooshing by, however, it was only really apparent during “rush hour” and not at all audible indoors.
Our first day at the property was picture perfect - a perfectly clear and warm day and evening, and it culminated with fireworks coming from nearby towns, as it was Bastille Day! The property is on the upper rim of a river valley and the views over the canopy of lush forest stretch beyond the town of Montbazon, with other chateaux also visible in the distance. The pool was very clean, heated and well maintained with nice loungers and umbrellas.
-To sum up, a very beautiful, relaxing place, to which I would love to return one day!

This is a lovely chateau hotel. Wonderful staff, comfortable rooms and great pool. Just be aware that there is no elevator. From the restaurant to my room on the second (in Europe, third floor) it is a serious climb. If you are not really fit, make sure you get a room on a lower floor. It’s a wonderful place

This place is just adorable. We enjoyed walking the grounds the next morning. It rained that evening and morning so we did not use the pool but it looked lovely. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate dinner there but I felt it was overpriced and not amazing like you would expect from the prices. The cheese plate though was exquisite. Go there to just order that and a drink.

Room nice and the chateau is beautiful. Restaurant is too expensive and the menu is the same and small each night. Spent too much time of presentation and not enough on content. No salad on dinner menu and no specials on a spring menu.

A true hidden gem - great for families or just couples.
We stayed there in our way back through tours.
A little out of the city- but beautiful walking in n the forest and down along the river.
Great pool and amazing food and service!

The property is so beautiful and such an experience in itself. But it made an excursion of castle viewing so much nicer knowing that we were going back to our own little castle to stay in. The bed was very comfortable, the upgraded suite was such a treat after the incredibly small Hotel we stayed at in Mont Saint Michel (even if it was on the Mont) and now our tiny hotel in Paris. I am still dreaming of my stay at Domaine de la Tortiniere. It was my favourite part of my France vacation!

A good city get-away location, some staffs attitude are better than others. Food choice can be limited, so do expect to have a car to stay at this hotel.
