The property is beautiful from the moment you arrive, they greet you w cold face towels and a welcome drink. Staff is very professional and outgoing! Everyone was helpful and made our stay a memorable one. Shout out to Tehron, Romaine, Alge, Rasiel, Jeremiah, Rashawn and a few other staff who’s names I can’t remember at the moment but they all had great hospitality. The resort has great food and night life. We were able to go to the sister resort Pineapple beach club. Lots to do and see! They will be remodeling the pineapple side and can’t wait to see how that will look in the future. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to be back soon! Thank you so much for everything.

I had the most relaxing stay and fun excursions

It was okay , if you are looking for action on the island, this or the pineapple club is not it. Both resorts are locatee on the opposite side of the island while everything else is on the other side. These are good resorts if you are planning on staying exclusively at the properties.

I loved the staff. The trolleys. The usage of other resorts. I didn’t much like the bar closing at 11, and no entertainment after that

Great resort

The property was absolutely gorgeous. I was hesitant to book this resort because there wasnt as many restaurants options. However, they have a sister resort across the street (pineapple club) that you can go to anytime. You can go to eat at their restaurants or just enjoy that beach. I liked the other resort across the street but the Verandah was so much prettier and more updated. The bungalows that you stay in are so pretty and huge!

The grounds was amazing and all the amenities (games, pools and beaches). Theodore Daisy we met at Seabreeze he was the best employee there which made our experience great. His joyful, caring energy lights up a room and he genuinely cares for people, that's the type of person you would want on your team! The food at the resort wasn't the greatest. The buffets were good the other restaurants need better cooks. The first night our doorknob in the bathroom door fell off and the sink was loose, it was fixed but that shouldn't have happened. Note that when booking excursions there are fees for the resort only and you will have to pay when you arrive at the excursion. These things should have been explained from the beginning. Overall, the resort is wonderful. Look for Theodore Daisy when you get to the resort.

The layout of the property, the rooms, pools and beaches were beautiful The shuttle service was excellent. The entertainment was great. Especially the dance night. The various types of food available were very good. Service in all areas around the hotel was exceptional. The taxis to and from the hotel was poor and never give you your change when you paid. The taxi from the hotel to the airport the driver was rude when we got to the airport. This was unacceptable..

Really liked the property, the staff was kind and helpful. Our view from the room balcony was awesome. Only drawback was the lunch and dinner buffet was not available since facility was only 40 percent of capacity.

Menu selections we constantly not available;
Several restaurants were closed;
Poor selections for food;
Transportation not available from room to front desk in a timely manner.

We loved this resort!!! The pictures don’t do this place justice. Definitely worth every penny! Zero complaints. 10/10

What a find in the beautiful little island of Antigua! Our all-adult family of 4 enjoyed all the Verandah had to offer on their off season mid-July. Value of this resort is great- offering everything an all-inclusive should!
Huge rooms we comfortably fit in. Full size toiletries. Every room has a massive balcony overlooking the bay. There are carts to drive you around if you don’t want to walk around the hilly property. We got around fine after figuring out the lay of the land, but def be prepared for steeper inclines at times.
Dining options were limited but good. Made to order pizza. Bar food till late. The dinner buffet was closed most nights of our stay because occupancy was low. We still ate at Sails & Tales & Portofino by making reservations at guest services. If buffet was open every night, which i’m sure it is on busier weeks, there would be no problem with food.
The beaches are located on the bay which is shallow, but there are floating pools you can lounge in. Visiting Pineapple beach, a sister resort incl w this, & 2 min cart ride away, gives you a more beach feel, as it’s located on the Atlantic Ocean & opportunities to swim & snorkel. Pools are all great!
Shout out to Kertie the bartender, Cassie-Ann our morning barista at Cafe 1761, & Marina for making us the best omelets w a smile every morning! Activities were organized most days, thanks Latifah.
Friendly people, relaxed vibes. All around good times!! No reason not to visit Antigua & stay here :)

Had an amazing time at this property. The staff was outstanding and very caring about anything that was requested. My highlight was the private birthday dinner set up and food that was prepared for my girlfriend. Highly recommend Verandah for anybody that visits Antigua.

Our stay at the Verandah was fantastic. Everything from the staff to our accommodations were perfect. Dining was great, staff was great, resort was clean, beautiful, activities were plenty. There was no request too big or too small. The staff at the Verandah always said yes to us. "No" is not in their vocabulary. They truly make sure your vacation is the best from the beginning to the end. Thank you for everything. Can't wait to go back in the future.

I was very disappointed with the food the food when it was really really bad no choices for seven Days In each restaurant was the same food Then the buffet was all leftover from all the restaurants

This resort is beautiful and everything is well kept. The buffet didn’t have a lot of options but we always found something to eat. You can make reservations at any of the restaurants through customer service as well. The golf carts are very needed to travel around the resort. Also, you can visit the neighbor hotel Pineapple! The big plus was no one harassing you any where. Usually people are selling things on the beach but not here. I’ve been to other resorts where they are trying to sell you into some privilege club pretty similar to a time share. Not here! It was great!

I celebrated my birthday on June 24. My friends and I had a blast ‼️
The staff was amazing. Miguel and Theodore were excellent. All the staff was excellent.
I had an amazing spa day and 2 birthday cakes.
We all agreed there could have been more amenities in the rooms. Such as snacks and drinks. Overall we had a great time!

The Verandah is a beautiful resort! I should mention that it is very hilly so it has golf cart porters who can pick you up & drop you wherever you like on the resort but be prepared to wait. We visited during off season so the resort was not super busy & there were several occasions in which we waited over 39 mins & had to call for the porter several times.
Food was good but know that for any of the restaurants other than the buffet, you need to make dinner reservations.
The Lovers Beach & pools are beautiful, Rasta beach has a great bar/grill but there was a lot of seaweed at that spot.
We loved that you could reserve a day pass to the sister resort Pineapple Beach Club. Love the beach over there as it is not tucked in a cove, however, the beach over at Pineapple is public whereas the beach at The Verandah is private.
As far as staff, we found most people to be pleasant & helpful with a few who did not seem to want to be there. The first night that we arrived, our flight was delayed so we arrived late to find the a/c unit was not working. We called the front desk & they disappeared Euclid, one of the maintenance people. He was amazing & made sure the a/c unit got fixed. We had no more issues after the fix. had a great time on this beautiful resort! Rooms are updated & property grounds are beautiful. Far from town so taxi to excursions & town gets pricey, but we were here to relax so it was fine. If you want to do excursions, I would rent a car or stay on west

Friendlyness of the staff
4.0 / 5.0
The staff were all very helpful although the front desk could have been a bit more friendly when we arrived. We arrived early and our room was ready well before check in and we were allowed access to all amenities while we waited. All of the food and beverage options were very good however I wished they offered a room service option and had insect repellent readily available at all of the outdoor dining locations as I was bitten by mosquitoes a great deal. The beach at the resort wasn’t that great but it was nice to have access to long bay via the pineapple beach club as well as the public access point which was within walking distance. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The multiple beaches/restaurants and the arrangement with the sister property (Pineapple Resort) was fantastic. All staff provided excellent customer service and went out their way to make sure we were taken care of. We could not compliment the property's general manager enough on how impressed we were with the property and staff. We've been to a number of Caribbean resorts, and this is one of the best.

Exceptionally friendly staff, but not always the best service, especially with housekeeping. Attention to detail lacking around the resort. Never any beach towels available unless you grab them immediately in the morning. Solid, but not remarkable.

The staff was very friendly upon arrival. We stayed in the water front suite and it was very spacious for the 4 of us.overall the food and drinks were good but they offered more American food than anything we were looking for their traditional food.The Italian restaurant was a 3/10 the noodles were very hard.We loved the beach , the bartenders were nice and helpful.I definitely feel like this is more for older people than younger people very relaxing and quiet but it was beautiful and I enjoyed it..The views were amazing

Very meticulously kept grounds, pool and common areas... Natasha at Portofino's was above and beyond- food was really good at Portofino and Pineapple Grill. At the beginning, I was a little upset because I had called a head and talked w/ reception regarding a surprise for my husband's birthday, Champaign or something (of course I would pay extra) however, it wasn't relayed to the people that info needed to go too so I was a little disappointed at first, but it ended up the lovely staff went out of their way to put balloons a bottle of Champaign in the room after his spa day... so it was perfect, thank you so much for making it special. All of the pools were amazing, especially the main pool- we all enjoyed the music, it wasn't too loud, it was fun and both of the activity persons made sure people had fun. The beach was beautiful and enjoyable at the Pineapple Resort, the buffet needed work by the main pool area. ALL N ALL, we will be back soon... we loved the staff and the relaxation they helped to provide.

The property was in a area. I booked the hotel after watching a YouTube video of two ladies who were managers or something to that effect talking about all of the upgrades that were made to the resort and that ot was graded a 4.5 stars. I felt really good about booking there. Arrived at the resort Wed 4/10. I loved the look of the resortgreat. Ladies atbthe front desk were great and check in was seamless. We were assigned accomidations at the Mango. Walked in and was immediately disappointed in the look ofbthe room. You could not tell there were any upgrades made to the room. The vuew was great if the waterfront, but when you look down feom the balcony there was teash and towels. I could really go in on this but will stop it there, I did not see any upgrades. The room accommodations did not match the price I paid and certainly by no means was a 4.5 stars. With that, the staff there was AMAZING ( the true 4.5 stars). We had breakfast at the resort everyday, and had lunch once at the resort. Both were great. We were so disappointed in our room that we went o. All day excursions all the 3 full days we were there to be away from the room. Beautiful island and people. I gave the Verandah 3 stars for the staff and location. I would not stay there my next trip there. This is just my opinion.

Hate the fact that i paid for all-inclusive and i had to be served lunch instead of us serving ourselves
And the limited variety on the food menu

This property is beautiful. The beach is white sand and has tons of natural shade with palm trees. The rooms are spacious, lovely, and very clean. The “waterfront” rooms overlook the cove and have a nice view of the sunset. The campus is 32 acres. They do have a golf cart service to transport you around if necessary. The devil’s bridge is just a 10 minute walk and is worth seeing. You can get a day pass for free to the neighboring pineapple resort, but the beach at the veranda is better. There are 3 pools and 2 beaches. The service is not very friendly.
A few things to be aware of: 1) Bring an insulated water bottle—there are only two little bottles of water in your room on day 1 only. The water pitchers around campus are empty pretty often, but you can fill them up at the bars. 2) Beach towels are scarce!! Don’t surrender yours till you see more clean ones or you are probably out of luck. If there aren’t clean ones, you may have luck asking for some at guest services (she seems to keep a few tucked in there). 3) unless you’re traveling during their peak season (December —February?), both the bars at the small fountain pool and down by the recreation area (tennis/ pickle ball courts/ mini golf/ billiards/ table tennis) are NEVER open. This means —NO Water. So bring some with you. 4) Nicole’s is the restaurant that costs an extra $40 per person. It’s not worth it. 5) The staff does not come around and offer drinks. No big deal, but get ready to hoof it up to the bar.

I liked the protected bay, it was very winding during part of the stay. We liked the water sports and mini golf
