It was out first time in Sardinia. The property is gorgeous. Located in this beautiful half moon beach. Everything was great but prices are too high.

Photographs do not do service to the hotel. It really is super nice.

Very old machines in gym - rooms are very old and outdated for the pricing. Property has a bee issue - across all their restaurants - beautiful Beach however

We had a great time at Abi d’Oru! It is incredibly clean, they are extremely attentive to their guests and helpful with whatever it is you need!

DO NOT BOOK Hotel Abi d'our if you are a couple looking for a romantic, getaway. DO BOOK it if you have kids! 25% of the humans staying at the hotel were under the age of 6, 40% under the age of 15.
It was overwhelming and shocking for us as a couple on our honeymoon. Kids screaming down the hallways when we were trying to "nap" :) Kids in the bar area, Kids in the restaurant, Kids on the beach. There was no adult area.
When sitting for dinner (surrounded by crying babies and kids running around) they asked us if we had the the all you can eat dinner package. That was the moment we realized the Abi d'Oru was a cruise ship on land.
The beach and water are stunningly beautiful, but the chaos of the children overwhelmed any moment of relaxation.
For the first time in my life, I asked to meet with the manager. I told her we'd be checking out the next morning and that we would be fine paying for the first night, but we’d like a refund for the remaining nights. She began the conversation apologetic, but soon began to gaslight me. She refused to offer a refund, she didn’t offer to transfer our rooms, didn’t send a bottle of presecco...she could tell that we were upset, but put it on us for booking the hotel with a "tough luck" attitude.
It was so bad, we left the next morning forfeiting the cost of our remaining 2 days.
On a side note, our bathroom smelled like sewer (to be fair many do in Italy) and there were a few rats in the gym when we arrived to work out.

This property is for families. Tons of babies and toddlers. This is not a place for couples. It’s very clean, and the staff is welcoming, but the food wasn’t great, and prices for food and drinks were way over priced. In fact, they are double Porto Cervo. We wouldn’t go back.

Unfortunately the price of drink & food at this hotel has put us off ever going back. Wine is very expensive and we travel to Dubai a lot and thought wine was expensive there! 25 euros for a Margarita and a small Margarita at that is ridiculous. Also when my husband did not want anything on half board menu in Tzia Maria restaurant and asked if he could pay extra for a steak we did not expect to pay full price, just the difference between the half board allowance and the steak, we paid 75 euros for 300g steak, he also got charged for chips which did not come, they also offered a sauce that never arrived! The choice was poor in the main restaurant whether it be a buffet night or from a menu, there was nothing I could eat other than salad on our last night so they offered me some french fries which they then put on the bill at 15 euros, this was taken off after I complained. Also there is no iron in the room or to borrow. You have to pay to have your items ironed at 5 euros per t-shirt and 8 euros per dress, this quite ads up. Lovely hotel and staff but felt ripped off. We are used to expensive holidays travelling all over the world but there has to be value for money and here unfortunately there is not. A shame for a lovely hotel in a lovely location with mostly lovely staff. The owners & managers need to take a look at a few details.I heard several other guests also complain about the food and drink during our stay.

This is a lovely hotel, stunning scenery of turquoise sea so try to get a sea view room if you can. It’s a 5 star hotel for sure. Beautifully planted gardens with herbs and flowers to take a walk through, we played tennis in the courts on the grounds and joined the free evening yoga class under a clear blue sky. The Spa delivered a wonderful massage. Everywhere you go, there is attention to detail with the free welcome drinks, clean, well-equipped rooms, marble bathroom, bathrobes and slippers, kettle and coffee making facilities, books, and we had a lovely balcony with lots of room and privacy. The staff are so helpful. Guest Relations took genuine interest in trying to find another room for me so I could be closer to my family. The sea really is crystal clear. And the pool is lovely. Really, I loved everything about it but please take note that you really do need a car if you stay here. You can easily spend the price of your flight on taxi fares to see anywhere else. There is a free shuttle to Porto Rotondo very close by, which we took. The driver offered to pick us up after dinner which we were very glad of but what he didn’t say is that as it was after the free window of time (last shuttle is 6:30pm), it would cost us €58 for that pick up and I only saw this at check out when I went to pay the bill. A trip to Porto Cervo was quoted at Euro130 one way. So we didn’t leave the hotel after that. Nevertheless if you want to just chill in amazing surroundings, this is a winner

The property was as advertised. The water and the beach are just like the photos. The food is very good and the staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I would recommend getting the half board which is worth it as dinner can add up especially as there aren’t options close by.

All around perfect, especially staff is so kind and welcoming. All exactly as described. We‘ll come back.

This hotel is absolutely lovely, and the grounds smell fantastic from all of the flowers and herbal plants.
The only issue we had was the fact that the alcoholic beverages were very overpriced. A glass of wine that would be between 4-8 euros elsewhere was 14-16. Cocktails were 18-25 euros. This is a small thing overall.

Great location, amazing beach. Great breakfast. Consistently terrible breakfast coffee. Need to put a bottle of free water in the room every day to make it nice.

Disappointing overall.. without a car there is nothing to walk to , it's literally isolated ..Very nice if you like a country club atmosphere. Cordial service for the most part especially the bellhops. At very nice restaurants a glass of wine is 5 or 6 euros , at local places it's 2,50, here its 12 ! Fritto misto (fried fish) at the beach restaurant was mediocre at best but at 42 euros was overall terrible being seaside they could much better than 2 sardines 2 shrimp and 4 pieces of calamari .. breakfast was nice but not great, friendly wait staff though..Overly pretentious for me , but I'd assume what some people desire . This place is all flash and no cash . Beach area is ok but not great . San Teodoro is a much nicer area with plenty of lovely restaurants and a spectacular 3-4 km long sandy beach.rooms were nice but they couldn't do anything to prevent the incessant mosquito bites don't understand why they couldn't just put some plug in repellent in the room

We had a great time during our stay, everyone made everything possible to ensure we had the best possible vacation. Everyone is so friendly and professional, one of the best, if not the best hotel we have ever stayed. Will be sure to come back. Highly recommend.

To say that the staff here have been excellent almost feels like an understatement. They have been welcoming, warm and genuine from the start. We heard from the staff that the owner of this hotel treats them very well, and that is reflected in the positive mood around the resort. Mr. Gatti, the GM, is a charming and thoughtful person who we met while leaving the hotel, and Maria from guest relations epitomizes the helpfulness and warmth of the staff at this hotel. The room that we stayed in was exceptional, it was beautifully decorated, clean, spacious, with a large balcony with a wonderful view over the sea. The food was out of this World and outdoor dining by the sea is idyllic. The hotel has a long white sandy beach with reserved loungers for each hotel room, parasols and towels available when required. Beautiful crystal-clear shallow waters. Kids activities every day in a playground with a great splash park throughout the day with lovely staff. I think the only negative thing about the whole experience was having to leave! It really has been more than perfect. Thank you Hotel Abi D'oru for everything. We will be back.

Hotels location is the best ever can be. It is in the hearth of the most elegant places, but still a hide away place for holiday. The beach and sea is as you see in the pictures. The management is quite flexible and generous, they try to do the best as I observed to make all the guests satisfied. Two times house keeping a day, best amenities, number of staff, quite big area to care, in many aspects, the hotel is running on high costs. More over they are keen on to uplift the hotel to a high-end category. All suites are unique. If you have the opportunity to experience, take the advantage. This place might be the one of the best known locations of Costa Smeralda near future. Absolutely was a better choice for us than 7 Pines without any doubt.

Not a place for couples !! So many things wrong with this Hotel from the old rooms with only one plug to from not being allowed to have an early swim to staff obsessed with asking do you have a reservation and then taking a manic pleasure it saying NO - so many to list! Not one area for adults only it’s chaos.

This 3-night stay was part of a 12-night trip to Sardinia, staying in 4 different hotels.
The Hotel Abi D’Oru is exactly what you would expect from a resort: good facilities, good restaurants, decent sized beach and lots of beach loungers / umbrellas. Staff were very professional and attentive.
The room (we chose a junior suite) was very large, spacious and bright. However, we do have one small problem: there is no heating (only Air Conditioning). Most of the year, this won’t matter. Even when we visited (mid October), it only became an issue in the evening... but it *was* an issue, so its something that potential visitors should be aware of & pack accordingly.
One other point to note: on-site prices to sit and have drink in the lobby. We paid €30 for a single glass of ‘house’ wine (ie not a special bottle €14) plus a Bourbon & Coke (standard drink, not ‘aged’ €16). This basically meant we went outside, bought our wine and drank it on the balcony instead. In this situation, everyone loses out (including the hotel). It’s worth pointing out that these prices are not unusual in the Costa Smeralda hotels.

It’s an amazing property located in a magical Marinella Golf. Well deserved 5 stars, superb service from bell service to beach towels team. Comfort, location, service, employees and management just superb. Bravo and Congratulations! I will return happily.

Exceeded my expectations !! Since the moment we arrive we feel they treat us as royalty, they welcome us with a personalized stress free check inn along with a Prosecco, they explain us all about the room and the hotel. Food was extraordinary at the main buffet restaurant , excellent quality, attention and options. We really enjoy our vacations and recommend it. The kids pool on the kids club is beautiful, with its slides and water amenities our son enjoyed !

Couldn't recommend this hotel enough, 15 minutes from the airport but a little oasis of a place. Great service, amazing private beach area, and a free shuttle into Porto Rotundo . Hotel staff very friendly and attentive. Drinks a little expensive, but it is Italy!

This hotel is excellent. Our room and it’s ocean view were perfect. The breakfast was very very good. Full buffet, plus made to order omelettes, fresh squeezed orange juice, and more. This is not a hotel surrounded by other businesses- which is what we actually liked. It was peaceful and beautiful with a spectacular beach on site. If you don’t want to eat at the hotels restaurant, Olbia and other smaller towns are a few minutes away.
This hotel provides 5 star services. We were very happy with our stay.

Absolutely amazing hotel. The best service we've ever had in a hotel. All the staff go out of their way to look after you from arrival to leaving. Even the hotel managers comes to chat to you as part of the service to see you have enjoyed your stay and if anything could be done better. We couldn't fault it.
The grounds and pool area are beautiful. The standard of food is amazing. We stayed on Bed and breakfast basis and it was excellent. The restaurant evening meal if you want it is 40 euros each and well worth it. The fish and meats are all fresh and waiting to be cooked to your liking. Lots of different choice. The rooms are traditional Sardinian style and very clean. Beautiful sea views from the spacious balcony. The pool staff are lovely and out arranging your beds with mattress and parasols. We walked on the beautiful hotel beach but didn't use it for the day as we prefer to use the pool but the beach is lovely.
Nothing negative to say about this hotel.... The most amazing staff and service. We stayed in May so whether service is the same in busier months... I would like to think so. The hotel is a 5 minute drive from Porto Rotondo and 20 minutes from Olbia but definitely need a car as there are so many places to visit in the area.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone that likes high standards of service with beautiful views and rest and relaxation.

Lovely hotel, beautiful location, local area quieter than expected and taxis proved to be expensive so consider hiring a car if going for more than a week. We went mid September so the hotel was quieter, and getting a drink by the pool sometimes an issue as the pool bar not properly staffed most days. Hotel could do with new carpets in the hallways (they’re showing some wear and faded in places), and our shower had a faulty door so wouldn’t open or close properly, but otherwise in good condition. Best to avoid the focaccia sandwiches from the beach bar (ordered a tuna and tomato focaccia and it was literally just a smattering of tinned tuna and a small sliced tomato between two pieces of dry bread, not impressive), better to go with one of the pasta specials if eating from their beach bar or try the more expensive, but much nicer, beach restaurant next door.. Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely pool and beach, overall would recommend.

This hotel came up to our expectations. The only negative comment is that it is an isolated resort with nowhere to walk to except a small marina at the end of the beach, so car hire is essential to visit the surrounding area as there is no public transport and taxis are very expensive.
2.5 / 5.0
Excellent hotel!
Close to the beach, nice pool area, staff very friendly and helpful, good food.
Only the area surrounding the hotel is not very interesting. So having a car is advisable, but this is not unusual for Sardinia.
