What an amazing experience from start to finish. We were a tad skeptic when we booked but the service and the rooms were amazing. Best breakfast you will have while down here guaranteed. They cook fresh omelettes and the food is fantastic. We don’t usually like all the food from hotels here but this one is in a class of its own

Omg it was wet! Rainforest right?! Never saw the volcano in 2 days.
Gutted - late Nov. Room great. Thermal pools nicely done. Dinner very disappointing - tough steak and limp asparagus and not cheap. Breakfast varied. Informal - people in towels by/in open restaurant. Staff v nice. Grounds fab.

This hotel was amazing. Check in was fast and easy. Pool and property was clean. The room has A/C and a fan with a cute patio where you could hear the river. The staff was very friendly and greeting us with our first name. The hot spring was very relaxing and with a swim up bar we could have stayed all day. This hotel was also very close to all the attractions, only a 5-10 minute drive to everything. Buffet breakfast included made it nice to start our day without having to worry about waiting for food. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in La Fortuna.

Best place to stay in Arenal for price and comfort.
Other places charge twice as much and don’t offer anymore than you get here. And the grounds, pool, hot tubs and food are great.
Service is very accommodating and truly treat you well.
They can set up any excursion you want to do and have you picked up at the hotel.
They can also organize in room massages singles and couples.

excellent breakfast buffet. Fresh fruit delicious. Resort property nicely landscaped with a huge variety of plants. Several pools that were clean, except not sure about hot thermals. Room ok except for bathroom. Mirror far too low. I am 6'2" and had to swat down to see my face. Inexcusable. Shower shampoo and bath gel awful. Neither would lather. I am alight sleeper and insect noises around the room made sleeping difficult. One was a constant (every few seconds) chirping the entire night. If I returned I would probably try a different hotel.

The Volcano Lodge and thermal experience was a wonderful resort. It was close to the volcano park and at the base of the volcano surrounded by nature. We saw sloths outside our room, various types of birds amphibians ( frogs) and reptiles ( iguanas, lizards, geckos) The food was excellent and the thermal pools really helped us relax at the end of the day and take the stress and soreness of the day away. Although we had our own transportation, the front desk offered activity packages including every entrance ticket and tour you could imagine of things to do in the area and they provided transportation. They even had an airport shuttle you could schedule in advance to pick you up at SJO or Liberia and bring you to stay with them. Luis was awesome and Joseph was the best employee. He helped me with an excursion issue I was having due to my Internet issues and my Internet provider. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again when I’m in La Fortuna in the future. Very affordable rates as well. We were a party of 8 and had 4 rooms and stayed 3 nights.

Pros: room was very clean, the hot springs are right on the property and are great for sore muscles, the staff are very friendly, the resort is located very close to the arenal volcano and other sights in la fortuna
Cons: this place has a touristy resort feel, lots of families and kids running about the hot springs and the pool. I wish it was more kid-free. the food here is quite expensive compared to your typical costa rican soda.

Overall it was a nice experience. I would have loved to receive a free room upgrade which I did not receive.

This is the best place to stay in la Fortuna/Arenal
Just at the resort you have great views of Arenal, plus the fauna and animals are amazing.
You have hot spring baths or relax in the pool.
Breakfast is unbelievable everything you could want.
Staff can arrange for any excursion you would like with pick up and drop off at reception area.
They offer private hot tubs on patios of some rooms, which are nice to relax in after a day of trekking.
This was my fourth stay here and as always there will be another soon.

I had the thermal room with pricate jacuzzi in backyard that was amazing

The property is beautiful and it has everything you need. The only thing missing for us was bed side lamps. I had to get up and turn off the big lamp and there was no sitting in the bed with just a bed lamp. We always had to have the big light on. Very inconvenient when you try to relax at night before bed.

This hotel has an excellent thermal experience, and a great swim up bar.

Very family friendly, my family enjoyed hot springs and pool a lot. Breakfast also had good options. It is well maintained and beautiful to take photos or walk around. Some unwanted visitors (spiders) were noticed once.
Overall very good experience.

We had a wonderful stay. The hot springs were very relaxing after fun filled, active days. The restaurant had a variety of dishes to choose from. It was close to all our excursions in La Fortuna. The only problem was our air conditioner broke twice during our stay. They can to fix it right away.

The property was extremely noisy. The rooms were paper thin. We had a person next door who was having a full-blown party. You could hear him from two doors down. Everyone in the building complained. The staff did nothing and I mean nothing but start problems with the people who complained. At one point they offered to refund me if I left, which I thought was crazy considering I had to catch a flight the next day. We even had a guy come on our patio and leer into our room and they did nothing about it. The guy at the front desk named Keylor was extremely unhelpful and rude and made a situation a lot worse than it had to be. I asked him for help, he did nothing. They didn't refund me for the last night even though this day was awful and would no way shape or form be considered a vacation. I did not feel like I was respected at this place. I also felt like the facilities were very dirty when I was in the hot springs. I always would get other people's sunscreen and body oils in my hair and on my body because they wouldn't clean themselves before they entered. The pool. Had a lot of cracking. The room was fine. We just didn't like the peeping Tom next door and that the resort did absolutely nothing to make right. We felt completely violated at this place. The place is cheap because you can literally hear absolutely every conversation and everything going on next door to you. The manager here does not care. Does not take any type of time to talk to customers. Worst resort

Wonderful view of Arenal Volcano from the property. Hot springs on site with various private spaces were relaxing. Good variety of tasty food options in the on site restaurant.

Exceeded our expectations. The food, views and hot springs were amazing! The perfect place to recharge at the end of a busy trip. Thank you!!

Good, albeit older property with dated bathrooms and dim lighting. On the positive side, they have a great location, attentive staff, good breakfast and hot springs on location. We found using the hot springs at night after long hikes during the day very convenient and relaxing! Lots of beautiful birds can be sighted on the property. Would recommend but don’t expect luxury!

Kids loved it. Food was great and staff was so nice!

It was a tropical paradise! My suite had its very own hot spring directly outside the back door! Beautiful atmosphere, guest services were amazing and the absolute best included breakfast I have ever had by far! Only downfall was the price was steep; a little too pricey even including the amenities.

We loved our stay here. The grounds were so beautiful and the hot springs were an absolute treat to have on property. One of the most unique hotels I’ve ever been too. The view of Arenal was stunning as well. We’ll be back.

Such amazing staff and they set the room up so perfectly for his birthday surprise!

The property is beautiful and has everything you need. It is not walkable to other areas (town for example) but a taxi ride there is easy enough.
