Needs pest control and better instructions for trash collection. Great beds and wonderful pool/spa area and very friendly staff.

Large room and beautiful surroundings

A clean friendly hotel with a very friendly staff and a hidden gem of really good restaurant. We were there offseason as this is a popular winter resort. The rooms are clean with multiple options from basically a dorm room to a complete
Suite with kitchen

A Lot of walking.
There was a mix up regarding the breakfast which made us uncomfortable.

Our trip and first contact in the Main Lodge was Amazing! Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived (we were early), and we were offered pool towels and use of the poolhouse and showers, stocked with soap shampoo, lotion and even a hairdryer! :)
Late that evening when we arrived to our room, and we were so disappointed. It’s old, and not in a charming 1920’s way, more like it was upgraded in the 80’s and not touched since, except for the carpet. I can say that the bed itself and the bathroom were sanitary, but the shower head was only 5’5” short, and uncomfortable. We only slept there, trying to avoid the room altogether.
NO AIR CONDITION was another SURPRISE! Not that we needed it for temperature reasons, but we had to sleep with the window and door open, and we struggled with our allergies for two nights and surrounding days, then jump on an airplane and experienced horrible ear pain.

In general, decent place to stay but not without issues. No problems with parking (plenty of space). Front desk staff nice and giving all the information. When we reached the building with our room the corridor smelled funky. Rooms look very dated and not as clean as one could hope for. Beds hard but not the worst. Our biggest problem was missing blinds wand in one of the windows. The venetian blinds were open at the time and we were staying at the ground floor so that was a big privacy issue. On the way from our walk we notified front desk about our problem. It took a while (and extra call) to get maintenance people to take a look at it but they couldn't fix it. just manually shut the blinds (so then opening to let some morning light in wasn't possible). Don't get me wrong, there are some issues that are hard to address on the spot but considering that it is quite an expensive place to stay and the problem isn't trivial from a guest perspective, lack of any compensation (discount or just moving us to another room) from the side of the hotel was disappointing (especially, after first amazing impression at the front desk when we arrived).
The room provided two big beds, fridge (which is nice) but there was no safe to leave valuables. There were no a ceiling light but only lamps and that would work if not that one of our windows had blinds shut now permanently so we lacked proper bright light.
Overall, this is good place but management needs to pay more attention to detail.

First time staying upon checking greeted right away. Only thing was no air conditioning or fan to help with heat. Will definitely recommend to others. Loved that’s it’s kid friendly and has many activities for them to enjoy even if some are not part of property.

Location is nice good amenities pool, resort is in dire need of upgrading, rooms need major overhaul.

Was clean and nice, bar tender made great drinks ;)

For the price, the place is absolutely not worth it. The place was full of both dead and alive bugs. The phone cord was broken so we couldn't call the front desk. Though the kitchen is updated and has everything you need there, the bathroom was dated and the door was peeling. The unit was very worn and certainly "cozy". The ameneties, like pool, hot tub and gym were nice. The best thing about the place is the dinner at the restaurant. Otherwise, you'll understand why the price point on this is low. Spend a couple hundred more for something better. (But also understand, you're likely there to be outdoors! You'll want a nice place to get some sleep... that's clean.)

Good place to ski.

Granlibakken is away from the highway so very quiet at night. Relaxing stay.

We had a great stay at Granlibakken Lodge, There was no way to have AC in our room. It was 80 degrees for our stay. The breakfast was very delicious, lots of good healthy choices. The pool and hot tubs were amazing. We stayed on the 3rd floor in Bearpaw unit, which was quite a climb with the luggage. We will stay again regardless of the inconveniences. Great Lodge!

I don't believe we had AC but cooled down enough at night and slept ok. Downsides to opening windows was noises, people talking, super early birds chirping or cars. Property itself was great

Everything was really nice

Beautiful, serene and well kept mountain forest retreat. Service that was attentive with a smile. Wilderness zip line park, hiking trails at the property, pool- we will be back.

Nice property.
Very disappointed that there was no AC. Also called front desk a couple of times and asked for toilet paper and it wasn't sent up. Had to walk down and get it myself.

Rooms are old and need to be refurbished.

Property did not look like pictures online. Room was dirty- dusty and cobwebs. Asked for a different room and that room was even dirtier. Person at the desk basically said there was nothing they could do since we booked through Expedia. ?? We would have not even checked in, but we had activities booked and couldn’t find other rooms nearby. We cleaned the room ourselves (thank goodness I packed Lysol wipes!) and tried to make the best of it, but it was so noisy we did not sleep well. We checked out as soon as we finished our fishing charter forfeiting our last night at a really expensive rate. After traveling for 8 days and staying in 5 other amazing places, this property was a huge disappointment for the last leg of our trip. They made no offerings to make our stay better or even give a partial refund.

I waited for 20 more minutes to access my room, which should have been available at 4 pm. “Unfortunately, your room is not ready.” said by the reception. There were no apologies for the delay. The room was in a different building from the lobby, but there were no notifications about it. I brought my luggage to the lobby, which was on the second floor, only to find out that I had to bring everything back to the car, then drive to my room. Worst of all, my room was on the third floor, adding another weightlifting session to the ordeal.

This is a cool spot, didn’t expect to be a whole resort/retreat kinda place! Would go again and recommended!

Great place to stay for skiing, close to palisades, nice room and beds, and the hot tub and pool area is great!

The lodge is in a great location tucked in to the forest away from the main road but not too far from amenities. Stayed in a studio room that felt like a cozy cabin with large windows that had great views of the snowy grounds. My son and I loved the nearby sledding hill. I loved taking wintry walks around the lodge where there are ample opportunities for walking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. We did conveniently rent some snowshoes on site too. Recommend for families with younger children.

Overall experience was good. The room is clean. But our request for cancelling or rescheduling the last day of stay was rejected without further follow up.
