Every time we stay here, it's an exceptional experience. Don't forget about the spa or hotel dining, too. Breakfast, in room or in the fl.2, is delicious. I'd add photos of the beautiful room, but the Hotels.com app never seems to allow me to do so (all permission have been granted).

Biggest issue is $36 for valet parking for just 2 hours including validation from the restaurant. I had a local friend visit and that’s how much it costs. Insane. Second issue is this hotel is getting tired - wallpaper tearing, walls have damage. Doesn’t appear standard maintenance is being done.

We stayed in a suite in Fairmont last month. The main bathroom was not properly cleaned; there were cobwebs on the side of the shower area, the body was container was empty, and the main toilet is stained, which is gross. Also, the carpet is old and looks dirty. To be rated as a 5-star hotel and charge customers a high price, I expected to stay in a clean and nice room.
Anyway, I went to the front desk and told them about the issue. They sent someone to clean the toilet right away. But because it's a stain, the cleaning person couldn't do anything about it. I just decided to close the toilet in the main bathroom so that I can't see it and use the other bathroom in our room.
I will not come back to this property for sure.

Room was NOT ready. They didn’t want us hanging around the lobby. Took our luggage immediately to another storage room within the first 10 minutes. Bruce Springsteen band was staying there. Was obvious we were to leave Walk about the city Never notified us when
The room was available we checked later

Until now, this has been our favorite hotel in Pittsburgh. It’s modern and clean, and the location is ideal. That said, our last visit was disappointing, which was extra frustrating since we were in town celebrating our 10 year anniversary and my husband’s birthday. The posted check-in time is 3pm. We arrived at 4:15pm expecting to have immediate access to our room and were told that the room wouldn’t be available for another 30 minutes. There was a lobby full of other guests in the same boat. Stated reason was that hotel was fully booked and housekeeping was running behind, which isn’t a legitimate excuse at all as the hotel would have known of its occupancy ahead of time and should have better planned with adequate staffing. The fact of being fully booked shouldn’t be a burden that shifted onto guests. We finally checked in at 4:45pm. No apology was offered, nor were any amends made to make up for the late check in, such as a discount or credit on our bill for parking, drinks, or breakfast at the restaurant. Even a nominal gesture would have been appreciated. Due to the late check-in, we felt rushed instead of relaxed getting ready to make our dinner reservations. We already completed another survey noting our disappointment with the late check-in, and still, no one from management reached out to apology or make it right.

When we booked this trip on March 1st we were guaranteed a room facing the river. Only when we arrived on July 19th were we told that they could not accommodate that request.

We went to see the Phillies play the Pirates and stayed at the Fairmont. It was a beautiful 15 minute walk across the Roberto Clemente Bridge to PNC stadium. The hotel was centrally located downtown by Market Square. It was very clean and comfortable. The linens were nice and plentiful. The view overlooking the city and river from our room was spectacular. The bar has a great atmosphere and excellent drinks.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my family. Staff is super nice and you can walk to a lot of restaurants from here. Spa runs a week plus backlog so i recommended making your appointment beforehand.

Overnight stay with a view of PNC park and one of three rivers. Outstanding help upon checkin as I was an old Fairmont Presidents member and he helped me convert to their new loyalty program. Room showing a little age, very minor, well appointed and comfortable. Enjoyed the full length windows!

Great hotel!

The only thing that bummed me out was that I chose this property because I was looking forward to a room service meal where someone brings me food and takes away the dishes so that I don’t have to do any work for once, but we really found the menu to be limited and uninspiring enough that nothing appealed to either of us (and I’m a bit of a foodie so it’s not like I’m picky). One evening, we returned to the hotel and were starving so we went straight to the restaurant, but we actually got up and left the table because we totally forgot in our hunger that the menu was what it was. So we never had a meal there, but it WAS nice to have someone bring me a pot of coffee good enough to drink it black.
Otherwise everything about the property, service, and location was fantastic.

Amazing stay at this wonderful hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. Close to many restaurants, activities, and PNC Park! Front desk staff Alex and Venus were also top notch. Highly recommend staying here.

Hotel is very well located, and it is kept in good conditions. However, rooms seem to need an update.

Booked a Riverview Room, check in was anytime after 3, we checked in around 4 and room was not ready. Initially told room was Mt Washington view and that house keeping was running behind. Lady at check in could not tell me when room would be ready and that we would receive a text. Asked other concierge and he comped our room $75 at bar/restaurant while we waited. Received text around 5 that not only room was ready but we were given a king size suite with our luggage already in room! Great recovery and room was fantastic. Bar was very nice and would definitely recommend / stay here again on return to Pittsburgh! Thank You Nikki Prassa - Director of Front Office
