We had a wonderful stay at a place with some wonderful, thoughtful hosts. It’s definitely a place geared towards those traveling solo or as a couple. The neighborhood places to eat and drink are all wonderful and we really did try to try them all over our four days. I would absolutely stay here again if I’m ever back in the ‘Burgh.

Neat little house in a great area with amazing views of the city.

My husband and I took our first adult only trip away since we’ve been married, this was such a lovely space to unwind and see the beautiful city of Pittsburgh! The restaurants nearby were fantastic!

The house was even better in person. Perfect location. The neighborhood and views were awesome. The hosts were nice and easy to communicate with.

We enjoyed our stay, which was close to shops and restaurants, and within just a couple minutes walk of the Mount Washington incline, and even closer to perfect city views across the river. The hosts are friendly and responsive, and the guesthouse just as advertised.

We had a great time and had everything we needed. Highly recommend! Great views and cute neighborhood.

It was a nice stay. A little difficult to walk to downtown. Five foot ten ceilings upstairs was a bit quirky.

This was an amazing property. Very unique with tons of character in a fabulous location that was convenient to everything in Pittsburgh but in it's own little community. The house was stocked with everything we needed (enough linens, toiletries, extras like sandwich bags... you never know what you will need!). The communication with the owners could not have been better, they really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and get us oriented to the area.
The home is as advertised, and the stairs were a little treacherous in socks with a bad knee, but that's all part of the fun.
Perfect getaway for a couple- we saw a concert at Acrisure Stadium, which was very accessible with the incline and the T, and then enjoyed another evening on Mt. Washington at the local restaurants, bars, and shops. We especially loved Gordo's Tacos and live music on the patio at Redbeard's, and bought some goodies at the "Love Pittsburgh" shop.
We will book this property again for our next Pitt trip!

Could not have imagined a better location in Pittsburgh to stay! Amazing views just outside the door, with great restaurants, grocery shopping all within one block. The house was comfortable and clean, with lots of character (loved the stained glass and woodwork!). Thank you for an excellent stay-

This is a great place to stay.
Location:
Cool old neighbourhood. Awesome views of the river, downtown and stadiums at the end of the street, easy access to downtown and the stadiums via the Monongahela Incline/subway train, a few nice restaurants just a block away.
Space:
Quirky place with a spiral staircase, great balconey and lots of room
Hosts:
The hosts were so nice. From a nice little welcoming gift which came in very handy to information about the neighbourhood to helping use with check out.
This place is should be on everyone's list to stay at when in Pittsburgh.

Very nice, comfortable 3 story home in a great neighborhood. Close to nice restaurants and a beautiful view of the city. We recommend this property 👍

We were in town for long weekend for a concert and a Steeler game. Location was awesome with great views and easy access to everything. We never had to use our car to get anywhere downtown- public transportation was easy.
House itself was cute as a button! Everything you could possibly need was there! Thank you so much for the great hospitality!

Located in a neighborhood overlooking the city with beautiful views, close to restaurants and mass transit. The ideal base for days at PNC Park, the Andy Warhol museum and a drive to Fallingwater. Host provided everything we needed and tips on local amenities.

The house is super adorable, you could not ask for a better location! The hosts are great, all of the amenities you need are in the house. This house will comfortably fit 2 people - anything else would be a squeeze. I will 100% be staying here again. 10/10 would recommend!

Not often do owners descriptions match their listing. Most oversell. Carriage House owners do not. A beautifully decorated home with an amazing location. I loved making my coffee and walking a few steps out the door and seeing the sun come up from the overlook. A short city block away is a street with restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Three blocks to the supermarket (it wasnt the best from a quality of meat and produce but it worked And WholeFoods did deliver).
There were a lot of reviews about parking. I was worried about it. The week we were there was a packed Pittsburgh week. Every night something was going on..Billy Joel, Motley Crew, the Steeelers and Metallica so you could say it was a busy weekend. We never had a problem parking. And I should mention they were replacing the roof on a house a few doors down and took up about 4 parking spots and the next block was closed off for construction...even with that we were always able to park on our block without a problem and we were in and out a couple times a day.
We are hopeful to return soon. This is absolutely a 5 star. To write a fair review I should mention a few things to consider. The bedroom is on the third floor, 1st to second floor is a spiral staircase and 2nd to 3rd the steps are narrow. Bedroom ceiling is low, I'm 6'3 and couldn't stand up. It didnt bother us but just something to be aware of. To make up for it the bed is super comfortable and it felt indulgent napping watching a movie on the flat screen on a rainy day.
The other thing is the AC. We had a pretty mild week. Only one night did it stay above 70° so other than that night we were comfortable. Theres no way to put a window unit in on the 3rd floor and the owners have a pretty good fan system that helps out a lot. Plus it drowns out any street noise. To be fair I keep my house at 68° summer and 70° in winter. That should give you perspective.
Lastly the owners. They nailed it on communication. Checked in and were super responsive but not at all intrusive. They were even kind enough to send me a nice long message when I inquired about the hostory of this super eclectic home and sone of the unique features. My opinion, you wouldnt go wrong staying here. (Just plz try to make sure its not the week we want to go back 😉)

This was a great place for my wife and I to stay while the kids were with grandma and grandpa. The neighborhood was delightful and the the house comfortable. I'd defiantly stay again in the future.

What a great location! Just one house back from the Mount Washington overlook. Great little restaurant bar area Within walking distance. Of course there are stairs, it’s a three story carriage house. They are well spaced and you can save on your gym membership! Owners have done an impeccable job with extra craftsman touches and Pittsburgh highlights. Toiletries, coffee, a real coffee maker. Very tasteful and we had a great time. Will certainly return :-)

The home was small but excellently decorated and appears much roomier than pictures. Excellent situation if you don’t plan to lay around the house and get out and enjoy Pittsburgh. The only drawback was parking, it is a student driven area with several bars and patrons. It was extremely easy and quick to get into downtown Pittsburgh.
We did enjoy ouy time there!

This property location is fantastic. Within walking distance to numerous restaurants. Across the street is a look out to see the skyline and a short walk is the hillside tram that takes you down to the square with more shops and restaurants. The property is very clean and the owners are very helpful. Highly recommend.

Beautiful small home located in Mt Washington. Comfortable beds and couches. Easy communication with owners who were very attentive. Loved the muffins as an added touch! We will stay here again!

This was our first time in Pittsburgh. This unit is definitely for a short weekend. It was clean and being just steps away from the overlook is also good. Parking is horrible. Although we understand that parking is based on availability, it was disappointing that the one time we could have parked in front of the unit, we were told to move the vehicle to avoid someone hitting it due to the neighbor having guests over. However, another vehicle was constantly being parked directly in front of the unit and not once were they asked to move since we were there. Parking is a nightmare. The trash bin outside should also have easier access. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Pittsburgh.

Kathy and Adam have a beautiful, quaint home in Mt. Washington. It is close to the Mon incline as well as a strip of restaurants and shops on Shiloh St. Just off of Grandview Ave, this home is walking distance to everything you need in the city of Pittsburgh. We don't mind walking and we used the incline to walk over to the city to enjoy a local tour, and to attend a Steelers game.
The home has 3 levels, each with vintage doors, stained glass windows and completely full of all of the amenities you will need. The owners take pride in their home and had great communication throughout our stay, offering suggestions and following up with our question. Directions for check out were simple. Parking is right in front of the house; once we parked we left our car there throughout our stay. (follow their directions to obtain the proper parking pass). We will return for our annual trip to Pittsburgh!

This was a great, affordable option for our long weekend in Pittsburgh. We enjoyed strolling along Grandview Avenue, and easy access to downtown via the incline. While the house layout is a little quirky, it is super clean and on a very quiet street. The hosts are very friendly and promptly attended to all our needs.

Plenty of space. Also plenty of steps. Low ceiling in bedroom (around 6'?) was not an issue for a shorter couple. Setup was thoughtful and collaborative. Owner was communicative when needed, but never bothersome, and easy to communicate with. Great spot close to terrific views (slight view of city from upper floors) and decent food.

Review for rental: Great location! Views are fantastic and a very short walk away. It's also in short walking distance from Station Square if you want to grab a bite to eat. Everything you would need in a kitchen. There were even a few drinks in the fridge and some small snacks. The listing is accurate for this little gem! There are two sets of stairs. Our favorite was the second floor. It had a TV and bathroom right there. We used this as a hang out room. This rental was clean and tidy. Very cool decorative pieces around the house. We got home from the Seahawks vs Steelers game (Go Stillers! - we learned this term from owners) in no time. There are fans if you get hot. We felt pretty comfortable the whole stay. Free parking comes with the rental for three days. We did not have too much trouble finding a place to park. The owners responded with our questions pretty quickly. We were
disappointed not to get any special treats like the other guests are saying they got though. Kidding!!! We should have used the balcony. We had great weather but it was a busy and fun trip for us and we didn't even think about it. If you want clean and tidy and a great and safe location do not hesitate on this rental!

We loved staying at Maple Tree Terrace Grand View! It was perfect for the two of us. The house is exactly as it was described. They even had the same London Fog sheets that we use at home. Location was amazing, walking distance to great dining options and the look out view of the beautiful Pittsburgh Skyline. Kathy and Adam were great hosts, it was clean and well stocked. Thank you for your hospitality , the muffins and beautiful card you welcomed us with. The Steelers WON!!!!! Made it an even better Weekend Stay. Miss it already.

We enjoyed our stay at Maple Terrace Carriage House, the location is convenient and the home is lovely. Kathy and Adam are attentive hosts and saw that we had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the welcoming breakfast treats and beverages. Thank you!

Check in process went smoothly. Limited parking so we walked every where as we were concerned we would lose our parking spot. Able to walk to incline and a few restaurants. The set up in the house is strange. The circular staircase we were not a fan of. Only 1 kitchen towel and no pot holders I could find to use for toaster oven. Had to unplug the microwave as it kept turning on and off. Bedding not great quality. The owners kindly left us 2 muffins from local bakery and some water and juice in the fridge was a nice touch. The location worked out fine for our trip.

We loved our Mt Washington home! Walking Grandview was enchanting. Great choice of venues for dining and adult beverages. The incline with the T was perfect for taking in the Pittsburgh Pirates games.
Our host was very responsive and gave us great ideas for traveling to the games.
Lovely, character laden vacation home.

Loved this little house for my husband and I to stay while we spent a long weekend exploring the city. Late night drinks and early morning coffees on the balcony were the best way to start and end our days. In 90 degree weather, the 3rd floor was a little toasty, but the rest of the house was perfect!

My sister & I lived in Mt. Washington many moons ago. So we decided to take a trip down “ Memory Lane “. Not only was our time together wonderful...sharing so many bittersweet memories...but our stay at this unique Mt. Washington carriage house helped create new memories...all of which will be cherished. We felt truly at home.
