Very nice accommodation at the heart of Machu Picchu Pueblo. Loved having access to the restaurant, bar and breakfast and our room was very comfortable and clean.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel felt very luxurious. It was nice the channels on the television were in English. The staff made us feel welcomed and they went out of their way to accommodate us.

A staff member met me at the train station and escorted me to the hotel which was a nice touch and just a short 5 minute walk.
I reserved one of the deluxe rooms. The use of the word deluxe is done loosely. The room was quite small but the worst part (and perhaps should have caught it earlier) is that the room didn’t have any AC system. It was quite stuffy. You could leave the window open but not only it didn’t provide much inbound fresh air but you’d be subjected to loud noise (music, people, crying babies) from the street. If you are a light sleeper expect it to be challenging with the noise.
Bathroom was small but sufficient. Bring some toiletries since they only provide shampoo and conditioner.
The mattress is rock hard so if you like it then it’ll work well for you. I also found the pillows to be uncomfortable.
The complimentary breakfast buffet was elaborate and probably has more items than you’d care to eat early morning before exploring Machu Picchu. They also provide a buffet lunch for around $20 USD and a la carte dinner. I tried the lunch buffet and it was also very elaborate.
On the site they have a picture of a jacuzzi so I assumed it was part of the hotel guest amenities. I was wrong. They have a spa but you need to pay a day pass to access the amenities.
Check out time is 10am so if you’re hiking and/or visiting Machu Picchu in the morning plan accordingly since they charge a hefty amount if you request a late check out.

The hotel staff were unbelievably helpful, from helping us print tickets to bringing our luggage to the train station…probably the most helpful hotel staff I have ever encountered - thank you!
The one downside to this property was the walls between the rooms were very thin - when someone set an alarm in the next room, you could clearly hear it.

Our stay at the MAPI hotel was a bittersweet experience. We were initially excited to stay at a hotel that not only serves its guests but also supports the local community. The photos of the property, along with the advertised amenities like the restaurant, bar, and especially the spa, looked promising. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match our expectations.
The check-in process was chaotic, with multiple guests arriving at the same time, causing confusion and delays. We were offered a complimentary dinner and breakfast, but our first dinner was extremely disappointing. The suggestions and service were subpar. To make matters worse, I fell in the shower on our first night, which added to the discomfort of our stay. Fortunately, I wasn't seriously injured, but it was a concerning experience.
However, the next day, Danilo, one of the younger servers, approached us and provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to make up for the previous night's shortcomings. His professionalism was a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating experience.
Another issue we encountered was with the spa services. We were looking forward to using the sauna and pool, but the staff in charge were unavailable, and we were only offered service by appointment at times that were inconvenient for us. This lack of flexibility and poor service led us to cut our stay short and leave a day earlier than planned.
It’s surprising that a hotel in a country known for its exceptional tourism and hospitalit

Nicest hotel in Aguas Calientes (in my opinion). Spacious, clean, absolutely beautiful...really nice hotel restaurant and bar. Hotel is right in the middle of plenty of shops, others restaurants, bars and souvenir shopping. All around A !

Very bad experience… not clean. Front desk was arrogant and was not helping at all.

This hotel is located just two blocks away from the train station and right on the heart of the street where all the restaurants are located. Staff was warm and welcoming, we had the dinner included , which was great, and the breakfast too, which they serve starting at 4 AM since many of the visitors to the Manchu Picchu archeological site have reservations to arrive very early. We asked for a late checkout ( we got up at 5 AM and wanted to rest back from the ruins before our train departed) and they charged for just $45 extra until 1 PN, which I found very reasonable. The building is pristine, very nice and environmentally conscious

It is one of the best hotels in the area. Best thing was the restaurant was very clean and breakfast and dinner was included. Dinner was not bad . It is one of the best options especially after a long day. Rooms were clean. Staff was helpful. They give only one key card for the room and if u get another one and loose it u pay $30. Breakfast was typical buffet but again clean and hygienic

Nice place but structure and customer service was very weak. Dinner is included in your cost but apparently they only have a couple reservations at certain times, so they didn’t even have an opening till after 9, so if you go I recommend you find a way to make a reservation in advance. Also know you will get a substantial upcharge per person in the room which is justified by the dinner, which we were not able to receive. Overall a nice place, but they just need to clean up some operations.

Very noisy in the evening with loud club music until midnight. No sound insulation around room doors so you hear loud guest coming and going in the night. No face tissue in the bathroom. No face towels. No proper shower soap just hand soap. Candy rapper on floor from previous guests.

Wouldn’t call this a five stars, far from it.
No aircon, only provide 1 towel, bed and pillow are hard, dinner at 6pm came in staff still briefing and give me looks and told me to come back in few minutes. Stayed a lot of hotel and honest for the price it is definitely not worth it.

I had a group of 16 passengers staying for a few nights and we had made reservations moths before ,had sent payment in full and a week before they had cancel the reservation because they said they didn’t received payment . Payment that was sent with a Boucher .When we arrived in the reservation we had made reservations for two children and their parents he was the tour conductor the manager at the front desk argued with us saying that the kids had to pay and that they count stay in the same room this where kids of 6 and 8 years .The manager did not gave any solution it was a terrible experience .They had another person in training to collect the passports and she was very rude to the passengers was not ready to help a big group . Monica,Teddy,Isabel are the people at the front desk .They need to change this personal .This was very humiliating experience for our group .They dint want to give an extra bed for the kids . They charged for their food . Check out time guest where returning their keys and a person by the name of Claudia was handling this she insisted in one of our clients need it to pay for a message .The passenger had to look for the receipt to show that he had paid already she was charging for some other persons name not related to the passenger .She dint even apologize .This is probably the 20 th time that I bring groups to this hotel .it was very terrible.I will not return to this hotel or recommend it ta

Spa isn’t included and cost a whopping $50 per person for a lukewarm jacuzzi and a 40C sauna. The breakfast wasn’t anything special, the dinner was wonderful though and was included with the night which was a great surprise. The room was great and the staff were wonderful. They kept our backpacking bags after check out (which allowed us to climb up Machu Picchu considerably lighter). They also brought our bags to the train station. Overall great stay, I just wouldn’t recommend the spa.

Best property in Agua Calientes hands down! Hotel has all the amenities needed, centrally located, quick walk from train station. Spa is nice but simple and reasonably priced. Excellent service overall.

Hotel is obviously upscale, very clean, modern. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. If I wanted to nit pick I would say the cheap clear plastic shower curtain in a fancy room stood out and no shelves in shower to put shampoo etc on so you have to bend over. The shower also did not drain very well so I got water all in my shampoo bottle. Not the end of the world though...
Breakfast & dinner are included in your stay which is nice. Breakfast buffet was adequate, nothing to write home about. The dinner on the other hand was straight up bad. I hate to be negative but it was the worst food we had in our 10 days in Peru. At this price point I had higher expectations. They had a decent selection of items on the dinner menu (same both nights we were here) and the portions were good. But the quality and taste of the meals were subpar. My boyfriend got a pork tenderloin and you could not even cut into it much less chew it so he ended up just eating the veggies it came with. I got pasta and there was barely any sauce, tasted like it came from a jar. Can get much better food for a very affordable price.
Overall, nice stay but not worth the money for me. I even used a credit from Hotels.com thankfully otherwise it would have been more. There are so many affordable hotels in Peru, I don't see the sense in paying for this place.

Superfriendly staff, especially Monica at the front desk. Gave us a free upgrade for the second night. Pick up and drop off at the train station. We were late for breakfast for one day - restaurant staff went out of their way to accommodate us - made us omlette.
Overall, a very positive experience. Definitely will recommend to family and friends.
