Great location, very clean and comfortable bed right.

This is an old hotel but well maintained. Perfect location in old Quebec. The gentleman at the desk was wonderful and very helpful. We arrived early and left late but he took care of our luggage both times.

This hotel puts you in the middle of The Old City. Excellent location. Fairly easy. Check in and check out being able to park the car right there on the street. Longer term parking right around the corner. Room was small but comfortable . I found the bed fairly uncomfortable however and perhaps they need a mattress. Otherwise it was excellent stay and I would recommend this hotel if you're looking to just look around the city and make some day trips.

This hotel was truly one of the highlights in our visit to Quebec City. In the very centre of Old Quebec, it was close to historical sites, restaurants, shops etc. In fact the meal we had in the restaurant attached to the hotel was the best meal we had on our visit.
The hotel itself is very old, attractive and incredibly well preserved. The decor and furniture in the hallways and in our room was very tasteful and the room was comfortable, a good size and well equipped. The staff in the hotel and restaurant were friendly and accommodating.
One of the bonuses of our stay was the great music that was played inside the restaurant and out on the street. Surprisingly, even though we had a street-front room and there was lots of activity in the street, the room was almost soundproof. (I would suggest calling the hotel direct for descriptions of other rooms in the hotel as it appears that there may be some interesting choices).
Our stay at the AubergeTresor was wonderful and we would highly recommend it and a visit to Old Quebec.

Beautiful area & spectacular hotel! Very comfortable.

Initial greeting was wonderful and I appreciated the assistance with my luggage after I injured my leg. Location is fantastic, lots of food and drinks and tourist sites near by. Hotel is also attached to a bar/restaurant. My room had a stunning view and was extremely comfortable m

Great location

The main problem I had was coming off a cruise with a ton of luggage and a husband with mobility issues and discovering that the hotel doesn't have an elevator. Otherwise, it's a charming hotel in the heart of the Vieux Quebec with delightful restaurants and walkable neighborhoods. Rooms are clean and well appointed.

All was great but lots of stairs as there is not elevator being an historical building.

Not a great choice for elderly- especially with luggage. No elevator- we're 79 and given a room on 3rd floor. Hotel reception is on 2nd floor. Staff helped bring up luggage, but no help offered when leaving. Great location- near top of Funicular.

We spent a fabulous 4 days exploring Quebec City. The hotel was the perfect location for exploring the different areas of the city. So close to all of the historic locations and to wonderful food right outside its doors. We had a cozy room overlooking the square and Chateau Frontenac. Slept well on our comfy bed and enjoyed all the space the room and bath afforded. No elevator so you have to walk up with luggage. Minor inconvenience though for the charming atmosphere.

We had a wonderful stay at Auberge du Tresor, a lovely room with a view of the Frontenac across the park. It is perfectly located for walking the old city. And, the restaurant, 1640 Bistro, downstairs was great too. We will definitely be back!

It was amazing stay but the rooms are small as per the price we pay. It’s expensive but in best location.

Great location, across small park from Hotel Frontenac and bus and taxis and funicular. Lots of cute restaurants and shopping nearby, as well as historical buildings everywhere. Negative— sink plumbing leak in bathroom, heard dripping at night, floor wet, seems like it must have been there for a while. Cute walk in shower, but horrible to actually use it, water went everywhere and tile floor wet, slippery as ice. Could benefit from some good signage in room. Finally, no elevator so steep stairs. Staff excellent, carried luggage up and down, but still stairs were difficult for this senior.

My wife and I had a wonderful weekend in the heart of quebec city. This property is it's an and that has been kept in its original state, other than remodeled bathroom, which was very nice. The heat and a c system was quiet worked great. Understand going here. There are people below dining and some street noise. However it was kind of charming if you would say. After ten p m or so the place got quiet and was completely quiet until seven a m. Would highly recommend staying here.

Rooms are up a flight of stairs, with no elevator. Room was spacious, clean and bathroom was renovated. No parking at hotel, but can drop off your luggage and then park overnight or several nights at City hall. Great is that you are located right in Old Quebec with everything within walking distance can easily come back to hotel to rest and go back out. No fuss with trying to drive into the old Quebec and find parking as you are there. Bus tour of city leave on corner, merchants and restaurants all around you including one downstairs at hotel. There is an alley where Art is exposed for sale right next to building.

It’s a beautiful building special at night with red roof.
Very convenient to any direction in old Quebec.
I will stay here next vacation come to Quebec.

Can't beat the location. Room was well equipped. Bed and pillows were great. Best sleep I've had in a long time.

The hotel was very nice. However, the bistro 1640 didn't give any priority to the hotel's guess. There was a very long lineup last night.

Unfortunately there were deliveries going on below our room all night keeping us up, and our shower didn’t work. Great location otherwise.

Excellent location! Great restaurants around. Parking is the weakest spot, but still fine.

You could not ask for a better location if you want to be close to the Chantelle front and the boardwalk overlooking the same. The bar in front of the restaurant also had excellent food. In addition, right across from the hotel is the hop on hop off bus stop, decide hotel is tourism info as well as an artisan market.
The only complaint I have is that the room we received ahead of you, looking onto the roof and was obstructed by Exterior emergency staircases so we could not see anything. In the end, it did not matter because we spent all of our time exploring the city. The photos below show a view from the front entrance.
