Our stay was great!! The house is spacious and the outdoor area was amazing!! The house was clean and felt very homey although we did find some roaches and ants. Besides that, I would definitely recommend this house and would return again!!!

The house is clean, spacious, and just the right size for our two families. The pool/patio/outdoor cooking space is very nice. The location is great.

Loved the house it was perfect! However we prepaid for heat for the pool and when we arrived it was not heated. Spoke to Vacasa about it daily and they said they’d relay it to local team and nothing was done and wouldn’t give us the local telephone number. Finally got a hold of owner who was phenomenal and took care of everything immediately! Love the house and the owner, however Vacasa was a disappointment

Very nice home. Pool/spa issues even though prepaid for heat. Would have paid more for the heat for it to be working on arrival and consistent during our stay. Cleanliness was appreciated.

Overall, I’d use the word, “fine.” Positives first, plenty of room for the family to spread out, sleeping rooms were great and overall, we enjoyed our stay. When we had issues, the property manager was fantastic. After having to navigate the call center, via text, to get a call from Myles was fantastic and we had a great conversation. Property was decently stocked with supplies to begin the stay.
Opportunities: I don’t believe the guests before us took very good care of the property. There were clearly dirty dishes that had been put away (took photos of each occurrence). Food left on bowls, ice cream scoop was caked in chocolate and stuck to the drawer liner, etc. Would believe the cleaning crews aren’t verifying cleanliness of stores dishes. However, we found a black/brown stain on the door to the garage, long black hairs on clean towels/wash clothes. Heat to the pool/hot tub wasn’t working but was corrected quickly. Freezer door was damaged but again, had a maintenance guy out the next day. While wasn’t totally solved, they cared enough to send someone out to try to correct it.
Overall, it was “fine” and adequate. We enjoyed our stay, Myles was good to deal with once we were able to get thru the call center. This is clearly a rental home (wouldn’t believe the owners stay here at all), which is why we’re on the site, just some minor correctable issues that were dealt with quickly.

Marco Island is a beautiful quiet town with beautiful shell filled beaches. The house at 1097 Cottonwood was perfect for our time there. We made use of the bicycles and cruised through the town to tiger tail beach. The home is central to everything on the island and easily accessible. We enjoyed fishing in the back, caught some flounder, and shoreline fishing. Beautiful pool in the back. Gorgeous bedrooms and plenty of space for the five of us. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you. (the faucet on the bathtub in the master bath was leaking and needs repair)

Upon arrival, the check in process was quick and simple. Temperature in the house at arrival was 78 degrees…we immediately turned the temp down and air cooled quickly.
Second day, we wanted to use the hot tub as the temperatures were cool. The book in the home explained how to heat the hot tub and that it would run for a 3 hour timeframe. We followed instructions and waited 3 hours to no avail. We called the rental office and property manager. We were told that the “heated pool” they list as an amenity is one and the same as the hot tub. The cost to have the heat pump turned on would cost $35 a day and take approximately 24 hours to heat. We were told we did not pay for the option. Based on other reviews I read with this same issue, this is because we were not given the option when renting through Vrbo and not on the Vacasa app. Given our trip was only 2.5 days, and we discovered this on first full day, with 24 hours to heat, we opted to not waste the money.
We also discovered that the shower in the master, does not get hot. Water got to “Luke” warm, but not hot. Had to either take a bath or utilize one shower for a family of four. When using bath, faucets leaked water onto the surround.
Ice maker in fridge does not work and water leaks into floor from fridge.
Last night, carbon monoxide detector battery died and started beeping.
Needless to say, we did not enjoy our trip to the fullest.

The house is very comfortable for a large family. Very nicely decorated. Loved the patio with the tv and bar. Had an amazing time. The property manager was very prompt to respond to our inquiries.

This house is beautiful! It is spacious, very well-equipped, clean and comfortable. It was perfect for our vacation with three teens because we had one area of the house and they had the other. It is close to everything on Marco Island. The freezer did not work, but other than that, it was great!

Checked in on Sunday to find the AC out, with 85F interior temp. 2+ hours trying to resolve with the management company, speaking to several different people and taking the majority of our 1st day in the house. AC had been out for previous renters, evidenced by 2 empty boxes with the trash for 2 box fans. We were not alerted ahead of check-in. HVAC tech arrived Sunday evening only to let us know part was not available until Monday. Tech returned later afternoon Monday to repair, after several more calls to management.
The management company offered another property by 9:30pm (too late to relocate with kids) that was half the size. Our payment was partially refunded for the first day.
2nd issue - I slipped and fell on the pool deck exiting the house, also on day 1, which management assured would be addressed with door mats when the maintenance person stopped by, which never happened (Sun-Thu reservation). Note: AC was repaired by an HVAC tech, not the management's general maintenance person, which we never saw.
Last issue was that the lock on the main sliding door from the family room to the pool was completely broken (handle and latch) and not functional. Again, nobody responded to repair this issue during our stay. We had to use broom handles to wedge the doors closed to feel that the house was secure.
In summary, the house was beautiful and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, IF (and ONLY IF) it were under a different management company.

When we checked in the air conditioning, ice maker, and pool all had issues. I reached out to Vacasa via phone and texts everyday I was there and no one ever came to the house to address these issues. All I got was lip service and apologies from somebody obviously at a call center. There is ZERO local contact. I received all kinds of frilly texts saying that they were working on it and nothing ever happened. Do not rent from VRBO if they are using Vacasa.

Family vacation, business education and beach wedding all rolled into one trip. This property was beautiful and just what we needed for our getaway! We would definitely pick this property again!

Beautiful, clean house. Comfortable furniture. Everything looks brand new.
Only problem was there was no information given on a property host. I tried calling vacasa to help with the hot tub because it was not hot, only warm. They were supposed to call the next day and come out. They never did. No instructions were left at the property. Also one of the cabinet doors fell off when we opened it to find glasses. My husband had to catch it. It was missing 2 screws to hold it on the hinges. Also, the silverware drawer face came off with opening the drawer. We had to pop that back on. Not sure who to report that to since Vrbo did not respond to any of my messages and the sub company Vacasa wasn’t very helpful contacting someone to help with the hot tub.

I take complete ownership of going with a Vacasa property when I should have stuck with VRBO- and rented from an actual owner. Though I am surprised that VRBO allows Vacasa to list their properties on their site. While this house was nicely furnished & clean- there was zero communications on anything while staying. I had pre-paid for the pool heat (only knowing to do that because I happened to download the vacasa app)- however during our stay we could not get it working. I called Vacasa SEVEN TIMES across 3 days- with ZERO RESOLUTION. We rented this property for the pool/hot tub and we never got to utilize it. Following our stay I have reached out to Vacasa for a refund on the heating fee- and was told they will not refund. Next time I will DEFINITELY use a rental by OWNER- so that I can interact with an individual who actually cares about our stay. VRBO- take VACASA off your listings!

This place was perfect for our girls weekend. The house itself is clean, beautifully decorated and in a great location. Only a short drive or bike ride to the beach, restaurants and stores. The house was fully equipped and stocked with everything we needed, from beach chairs, coolers and bikes. Our Vacasa host, Jose, was awesome. He was really responsive and super helpful. He went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect. The area is being cleaned up and it was nice to the island getting support from locals and tourists.
