Amazing B&B! Eva cooked my Wife and I an amazing breakfest and was very courteous, allowing us to check in late. Definitely highly recommended place to stay especially if your heading to Lassen National Park- we will be back!

The house and grounds are beautiful--a historic inn, family run. We enjoyed passing the afternoon sitting under the old apple tree. We only wish so many people hadn't stayed away from because of the fire in the area. The town and the inn deserved more guests.

For what I paid, it certainly wasn't as nice as I thought it would be. It was $527 for two nights. Our room was very dark and not much lighting. I realize it is a very old historical building, but they need to update some maintenance and repair. The window sill in our room was broken. It looked like there was some type of dowel to hold the window up. I tried to do that and the heavy window sill came down hard on my thumb! I'm glad my daughter was nearby to lift the window off of my hand! I mentioned it to someone in the office. My nail bed is sore and still black and blue. The best thing about our stay was the view of the backyard. The breakfast was also delightful and the girls who served us were very conscientious and sweet.

This is a traditional BnB in a homey setting on green and pleasant grounds. The building is an old hotel with a rear two story wing of rooms. Our room, the Rose Room , was airy and spacious. The breakfast was served either inside or outside on patio tables. It was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Bidwell House.

This is a historic hotel with charm. Clean atmosphere, clean rooms and beautiful grounds. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are private and quiet. We stayed in the Robins Roost Room with the Jetted Tub, very romantic with views of the lush green garden and the lake. There’s fruit trees on the grounds. The breakfast was amazing! I highly recommend this place for a rejuvenating and romantic place to stay,

If you are staying in Chester to visit Lassen Park, as we did, this is definitely the place to stay. It has so much character and the rooms are all individual. The grounds are perfect for enjoying an evening drink. The breakfast was amazing - especially as they were able to accommodate a vegan and a celiac sufferer in our party. Little touches included an honesty bar and free sherry in the lounge area. We didn’t stay as it was such lovely weather but there was plenty of room to hang out in the indoor sitting areas too. We were so happy to have stayed here rather than the Best Western down the road.

This is a historic B&B Inn run by a lovely family. The common areas are furnished in old style, giving it a very cozy atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the quiet in the evening after our visit to the Lassen national park. I definitely recommend this place.

This charming bed and breakfast captured my heart. We stayed in the Bidewell suite. This house was built many decades ago. It has been charmingly updated. The attention to architectural detail and updated dated bathrooms were excellent choices by the owners. Additionally, the rooms were decorated with antique pieces to give the establishment a personal touch. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful making sure our every need was met. There was a communal pantry for ice or storage of foods we brought in. I highly recommend this B&B without reservation.

We arrived to a warm welcome. Our room was so clean and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. We had a glass of wine on the very well kept grounds and even played some outdoor games in the backyard. There is a lovely sitting room and a great breakfast in the morning definitely will recommend to anyone

We arrived at the Bidwell and folllowed the instructions to call reception. Eva, the Inn Keeper greeted us and explained the amenities at Bidwell House. The property is a historic building so it has lots of character. The room we booked has been updated and was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was served every morning in the dining area and was a different egg based item that were all very different from the previous day and all very good. The Innkeeper Eva was very friendly and her staff were all nice and accomodating. We will definitely stay there again when in the area.

Beautiful historic house with sensitive additions and remodeling to make suitable. Yard, landscape, outdoor areas are wonderful. Long time with much water waste to get hot water to distant rooms, and clawfoot tub/shower a little difficult for older folks. Would be wonderful place for romantic couples.
