Very kind and accommodating. The location was convenient, you see it right when you walk out of the Strasbourg train station. The room was small and the bathroom was large

First put me in a room with no shower, a bath tub with an extension shower about four foot long. I am 6 foot 6 inches and 65 years old. Went down and asked for another room. The two young ladies said I was out of luck. After getting the manger involved she changed my room. She was nice. That room the next mourning smelled like sewage backup. The poured something in the shower drain and it only half masked the smell. Could not wait to leave that hotel. I have never given a negative review but this was a total mess of a hotel.

We were in Europe for about a month and we stayed in 8 different hotels in different cities and I could say Arok is the best for the price we paid. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The room was spacious and clean and has the best location. You can walk to all the tourist attractions and the beautiful central station is right in front if you need train or tram to travel.

Pros: friendly staff, discount on nearby parking (like 200 meters), free coffee at a machine in the reception, good location, in front of main train station and close to central touristic area, changed our room without further complications (check cons), great sound isolation on windows, great atmosphere/design; Cons: elevator does not reach last floor (5, I believe). Air conditioner is central and is depends on how the hotel sets it. Unfortunately we reached there at end of summer and while temperature was hot, they had already changed centrally to warm (because autumn was starting). Our room was crazily hot to the point of being unsustainable and they changed us to the 1st floor, with windows open it was ok, but then there was noise from street, so an undesirable dillema.

This isn't a run of the mill hotel. It has character and style, and everything is done well. Breakfast was excellent and the lobby had some welcome features, such as free coffee. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is well located and the service is correct. The room is quite simple and empty. The problem is we have been given a welcom cocktail ticket for two at the reception, it was a great idea. But before our check-out, we did not find a moment to use it, then we have discussed with the employee of reception that day and asked if it is possible for us to use it for our next trip in Strasbourg (since there is no date mentioned or using conditions mentioned on the ticket). The answer is yes, and we appreciate very much this flexibility. The surprise is when we came back to the hotel on 28/09 and eventually want to use this ticket, the answer is no. Then I explained that we asked before and your colleague said Yes, otherwise we would have used it anyway before our last departure. At the that moment, the bar is empty and even the coffee machine is available, but nobody wanted or really cared us to give a minimum commercial arrangement. I did not insist, but still feel kind of disappointed. Sometimes, there is no cost for doing a small kind thing, but it does make a big difference somehow.

Very nice hotel, very well located, nice room big and clean. Though no small fridge and not free parking as it was indicated in the booking page. You could park the car in a secured private parking space and you had a discount card from the hotel, but still it is not free.

Very comfortable hotel. Newly renovated and very close to both train station and old town centre. Precinct felt both vibrant and safe with many cafes and restaurants very nearby. Hotel had many nice touches including very nice breakfast and free coffee and tea station available at all times with croissants free to snack on. Extremely happy with this hotel and would definitely recommend.

Property is well located with friendly staff, looks comfortable on the surface until the 2 bakery’s start baking at 2:30am. Noise and smell continues to atleast 9am in the morning. You would think that fresh pastry’s and bread cooking would be a nice smell. Well this definitely wasn’t. First morning I think one of the beakers burnt a batch of something and the smell would not leave the room. When staying in hotels, I need to sleep with the window open and aircon turned off. In 2 days I got a total of 5hours and 42 mins sleep. The noise outside the window is not only the 2 bakery stores also locals talking out loud and locals recycling their glass bottles at 12am. I’d sent an email before my stay requesting a quote room and this is what I got. Very little sleep making my stay in Strasbourg less enjoyable. If you’re a light sleeper who sleeps with windows open this hotel is not for you. Shower water pressure, well there isn’t any. Hope this reviews helps you make informed decision.

Gabriele is a really nice and helpful host ! The B&B is located just near to buses, and we can walk to the city center easily. We had a nice room with bathroom, everyday cleaned. We liked the morning Italian croissant and Gabriele company to explain the city and give advices !

Hotel Arok is perfectly situated across a park from the train station and you can easily walk or catch an Uber to the main sights of Strasbourg. The staff was fantastic and offered up many recommendations for restaurants nearby or worth the walk. They have a nice little bar onsite for relaxing and enjoying a beverage.

Enjoyed the stay and visit to Strasbourg. Convenient location across from the Gare to access trains and trams. Wasn’t sure about the hotel on booking but happy with the choice. Staff is great, especially Anna at the front desk who helped with recommendations for dining and sightseeing. Accommodations seem recently updated and rooms were comfortable and quiet. Would definitely stay again if visiting Strasbourg.

First the positives about this hotel: it is decorated nicely, it’s right opposite the train station and walking distance to all the town attractions, and has 24 hour reception and luggage storage. I arrived earlier than planned and was able to check in early for an extra cost. However, it was a very hot day and the aircon in the room did not work. It was a very uncomfortable night even with the windows open. The wash basin for the bathroom was INSIDE the room. It’s misleading advertising because not a single photo of the hotel shows this type of bathroom with a tiny shower in the corner and having to brush your teeth right in front of the bed. It might be fine for some people but I found it off putting and would have liked to have this information so I could make an informed choice before the booking. The sink was very small and the tap angle meant that there was water splashing on the bedroom floor. A poor design. I stayed for one night so can’t comment on turn up service. The hotel needs to update its photos.

Stayed for two nights, fabulous hotel, good location, good WiFi with BBC channel TV so my husband was pleased to watch the rugby! Complimentary drinks and nibbles were such a lovely touch and the breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend!
