Old and dated hotel, very nice staff, great views and location.

Great hotel staff, clean room, very functional! There was no AC in the room, or a ceiling fan or fan of any sort to move air in the evening, so it got quite warm.
Biggest issue was noise in general…as in every step we took creaked, with the balcony being the worst. Definitely didn’t want to go out on it late or early in fear of waking our neighbors. You can definitely hear everyone else moving around; we were on the 2nd floor. Overall a good stay, but we probably won’t stay again.

Its a very comfortable place to stay away from the crazy tourists.

Wish we would have bought this instead of the horrible Worldmark scam.
Full ocean view, watched surfing, surf fishing, 3 hours of fireworks that surrounded us. A lot of groups that were not guests took up private fire pits, right in front of our unit.
Kitchen counter so old and dated with several burn holes.

Lanai on the Cove is amazing! You can watch the surfers and waves from the balcony. It is such a great view of the ocean. The room was clean and equipped with a kitchenette.

We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the hotel and our room, location was great, very clean, had everything we needed.

First off, Shane at the front desk was beyond amazing! He shared excellent tips on some must see places to really maximize the experience I was looking for, and they did not disappoint! The location is great, right on the water with a view that made me sad to leave. The room itself was clean, but as previous reviews stated, the older building hasn’t been updated and allows for a great deal of other people noise -but it wasn’t so much that it had an impact on my stay (and an open slider let in plenty of ocean noise to focus on). The mini kitchen was fantastic for allowing me to eat some meals in the room (and save a few pennies!). The bed left something to be desired -one side was sunken in and the whole thing was rather uncomfortable. Overall though, great place to stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Absolutely a hidden gem this one. Really close to hiking and walking down the beach. I also found it to be very relaxing and comfortable as well when just hanging around. This is my goto from here out. If you can, try and splurge for the sea facing rooms

Beautiful view of ocean and beach.. the rooms are rustic and dingy and could all be updated. Great little kitchen, bathroom nice. Coffee, hairdryer and small amenities lovely. Would stay on upper floor to leave window/door open and not shave people walk by your room to look in. walkin

Our stay at this hotel was great. The room was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the large beach that was behind the hotel. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent recommendations of restaurants and things to do in the area. We will be staying here again in the future!

The location is really great! The property is a little dated, but super clean. I requested a sofa bed room (traveling with my 19 year old who does NOT want to sleep with me) and even called to double check a few weeks prior and when we got there Tuesday after a long drive we were told that our room didn't have a sofa bed, we got a blow up bed which was okay I guess.

Loved being able to have our dogs with us!!
Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

The property was really clean and nice. But the walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything going on in the surrounding rooms, all the was down to phone calls on speaker phone. If you plan to book here don’t do it if you intend on having a quiet stay, especially not knowing it others are going to be there with their kids.

I had a wonderful weekend! I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay! The only drawback was parking can be tight in a bigger vehicle but it’s not to hard to get out

Greatest location on the beach. Lots to see in the cove area right from your room. The room had everything you needed including a small kitchen.

Every room is unique! Pretty quiet, hardly heard other residents. Walk to beach from hotel is a bit long because you have to bypass a bunch of rocks, but really pretty.

The view was amazing. The angle you get to watch the surf was incredible and the lights of the boardwalk where beautiful at night.

Sent an advertisement for a dinner on them when booking two nights the “week of” Valentine’s Day. We had two nights that week. When we checked in we asked about it. They stated that it was only for the day of Valentine’s Day. However the email never said any such thing. Only said the week of, which is when we stayed there. Very disappointing that they didn’t honor their email.
Parking area very small. Rooms paper this, which they know as they leave ear plugs for your use as well as a note stating the “1960s” style rooms are noisy.

The only thing I didn't like was the mattress it was very uncomfortable, but other than that the hotel was phenomenal, everything about it was absolutely perfect except the mattress lol

Great view and clean. A little dated. Room above us creaked every time someone took a step (very noisy) Must be a problem, they left ear plugs in the room.

Lanai at The Cove is our new favorite lodging in Seaside. The fact that it literally is beachfront and, thus, closer to the ocean waves, makes this hotel a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Customer service was fantastic. We will definitely be returning again and again.

This place had a lot of personality and provided us the environment that we were looking for. It was awesome to be able to walk out the sliding door and be right on the beach, with a great fire pit right in front of our room. We loved watching the surfers from our couch! We will definitely return.

Absolute worst stay. Ground floor room, walked in and immediately smelled overwhelmingly like chemicals. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Sleeping on the ground would have probably been better. The people above us were having a party and it was so loud it sounded like they were in our room. View of the ocean was beautiful but the people upstairs kept walking up directly in front of our slider door to talk to people on balcony above giving zero privacy. Couldn’t even enjoy the view as we ended up having to close the curtains to have any privacy at all. I would not recommend this place at all. What was supposed to be a wonderful anniversary weekend turned into a nightmare. We got up at 4:30 am (after being awoken every hour all night by people upstairs) and showered and left. Not worth it. Also we were charged over $200 for the room and on the paper work hotel gave us the room was $160.

Wonderful view, clean room, unexpected kitchenette. Beach front that was rocky but turned to sand about a block down the beach. Would stay here again.

Excellent experience staying here and I hope to stay again in the future. The hotel is right on the beach, very clean and all the staff was friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking and it’s only 5 minutes from everything!

It genuinely pains me not to give this location full stars. The room was absolutely fantastc, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the view was breathtaking. We soent several hours out on the patio reading, looking at the ocean and watching the surfers. The bulk of our experience was absolutely phenomenal.
The downside, and reason I knocked off stars, is a significant inconvenience. People are not kidding when they say how thin the walls are here. Our neighbor to the side was having a conversation well into the night, and it felt like they were almost in the room with us. They weren't yelling or raising their voice at all, just having a regular conversation. If they had, we would have let the office know, but it's hard to get upset at a person for just having a chat with their family while on vacation. And we could also hear/feel every step of the person above us. Perhaps if we were on the upper floors we would have left the sliding door open and let the ocean drown them out, but on the ground floor, people were frequently walking through the patio and across the beach, so that wasn't an option. We ended up turning on the hood fan, which itself was loud and annoying, but eventually just became white noise. They do provide earplugs, but they can only do so much.
If you are a heavier sleeper that loves ocean views, this place will be ideal for you. And maybe deeper into the off season and less crowded, I would consider coming back ourselves.

It is right in front of ocean and less crowded. Enjoy the fire pit and view.

The Lanai at the Cove was a wonderful surprise as it had it all: location (right on the beach), comfort and convenience. Thank you for a memorable and lovely stay on the Oregon coast.

While the condo is a little dated (especially the bathroom), the view more than made up for it. Wonderful view of the "cove", very close to the water. Friendly staff at check-in check-out.

If you like being right on the ocean, you’ve got to stay here. If you like to watch the tides come in and out and then comb the beach for whatever the tides left behind, this is the place. The pelicans and sea gulls were too numerous to count. And when day is finally done, the sunsets are awesome. The Lanai at the Cove has it all.
