I loved the view and waking up on the water! The amenities were great and comfortable. The other guests were friendly and nice. Plus those are my favorite pillows!

The location was amazing and the view out the window was superb! The driveway was exciting and everyone was friendly.
That I only had time to stay there for 1 night.

Just getting to the guesthouse was a wonderful experience. We loved the location close to the cliff and next to the bay. This old fisherman's house has been restored to become a perfect place to spend a few days in Husavik. It's common areas, living room, dining area, and kitchen have everything you need. We appreciated very much Martin's tips and information on the area. A great place to explore Husavik and its surroundings. We got some very good advice for the whale watching tours.
Not staying much longer

The best place we went too during our 2 weeks road trip around Iceland !
You feel like you are alone in the world. We had the greatest chance to be the only guest during the night we stayed there and had the house for ourselves… amazing experience !
Martin is a great host, communication was easy and he gave us precious advices about our trip.
We will definitely come back !
Thé only bad thing was not staying longer !

The house was very cute and cosy, the kitchen was a professional one so it was a pleasure to use! The place was beautiful : waking up in front of the sea with sea birds songs and looking for fossils close to it. We clearly recommend this place to stay in iceland!
The road to get out may be a little tricky but the place deserve the effort !

Great place to be! Situated directly at the sea, the place has been carefully renovated and comes with a special flair. We came after the main tourist season was over and had the place to ourselves, which was quite a luxury. The host wasn’t onsite, but we were in touch via the phone and he was very attentive and helpful. Pity we only stayed one night.

The best accommodation I have ever seen, the nice owner, the location, the view, the smell of the sea, the atmosphere of a former fisherman's house, just sitting and being in your head. I wish I could stay here more days. I recommend it to everyone.

Martin and his wife, both German by birth and designers by training have lovingly restored and old fish shed which had been abandoned for years into the most delightful guest house. They have thought through every design detail, creating a very welcoming and engaging space. Even the logo is their own typeset design. There is a well equipped kitchen, with no less than 3 fridges, an extensive indoor dining area, a deck out the front to enjoy a sundowner and a very well stocked bar. All the bathrooms are downstairs and are well equipped. Upstairs there is a whole corridor of well appointed bedrooms in the rafters, each with its own design charm and sense of history. However the two major features of this charming guest house are first the location, nestled under the cliffs, accessible down a single track road you literally descend down to the guesthouse at the waters edge, with its own jetty and stunning views along the coastline and across the bay. The cliffs behind the guest house ground you and the water laps the shores gently beneath you. This really feels like a place that time forgot where you can step off the hamster wheel of life, take a breath and really chill out. Plus secondly the enthusiam and charm of your host Martin, who goes out of his way to ensure that guests have a good time and enjoy Husavik and its surrounding area as much as he clearly does. His love of Iceland is exuded in his smile and he makes staying at the house and doing all sorts of day trips from it - horse riding, whale watching, waterfall excusrions, bird watching or a trip to the local salt water geothermal baths all so easy - helping you both in advance of your trip and also when you are there. Its the perfect place for a family or group of friends to rent and enjoy - with enough space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the views.

The location is a natural beauty spot. I was in bed just staring out at the sea and could not take my eyes off the view.
Interestingly rugged look. Loved it

The house is very pretty, with a clever mix of new and old items. We enjoyed watching the fjord from the terrace, room, and living room.
