The Crowne is so cool looking and it’s still an active train station! The industrial feel was honestly pretty cozy! They have rooms inside of old train cars…we didn’t get one of them but our room was spacious and overlooked the common area. Walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium and many delicious restaurants. And directly across from the convention center, with a bridge that is attached on the 2nd level.
4.3
Have stayed here many times over the years due to the location near Lucas oil stadium.
Have always liked staying here but this year was not what we were accustomed to… the staff at front desk and valet were very friendly but management ended up overriding what we were told we could do ( regarding tailgating) and we even had the cops called on us for no reason ! The officer even stated how he was upset at them as we were doing nothing wrong.
We will definitely stay elsewhere when staying in downtown indy.

The hotel lobby and first floor are beautiful.
I paid for a premium room and it looked like every other hotel room with a bed, couch, and a very tiny bathroom. The vanity was so small I had to put my cosmetics on the floor, as there was no other counter space.
The card key was demagnetized if it got close to my cell phone. I haven’t had that happen in years.
The TV is set to a 100% political channel EVERY time it is turned on. Not my politics and not sure why I had to deal with it. Surely there are non-political options.
The valet parking is not cheap and the only other option is to park several blocks away at a public parking garage. I would have been too nervous to walk alone in the dark in an unfamiliar city
But the reason I won’t return is because as I was heading out at 6:00 a.m. one morning I asked if I could get a small bottle of water, and I was pointed to the Marketplace to purchase one. At the price I paid for a mediocre room, I didn’t think a complementary bottle of water was too much to ask.

No complaints, personnel including valet was flawless. Construction in area made the surrounding area unattractive, but I’m sure will be fine when completed. Close to venues.
4.3
Great place to stay the only problem is massive construction around the building!
4.3
The charm of the hotel with the former train station feel was really cool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However, if you’re coming for a Colts game, get there early or even the day before because the valet parking will fill up fast. We had to park several blocks away from the hotel then walk.
4.3
The hotel itself is very cool. We stayed in a train car room which our kids loved. The hotel is slightly dated but did see the were starting renovations soon. It’s a no frills hotel in my opinion for amenities. A big factor for us was the walking proximity to everything downtown.
One thing to note, we choose to park “off site” because we didn’t want to pay the crazy valet parking fee and after our two night stay found our car has been vandalized and the drivers side mirror was smashed and broken off the car, not the hotels fault but just as a side of caution, the parking is very sketchy and I wouldn’t recommend.
4.3
Wonderful quiet and was I the perfect location

Valet parking high ($50/Day) but to be expected in the center of a Capitol city near all the major attractions. Breakfast not much better than the free type at a typical chain hotel but $20 for the buffet and about $25 if ordered through a server.
People were great; friendly, helpful and professional.
Cool vibe from the RR station conversion.
Not an abundance of natural light inside. Downside of the converted rather than purpose built building.
Will be visiting again.

Overall my stay was satisfactory. I had requested a late checkout at 2pm and when I went to my room at 1:30 to pack up, my key card was disabled so I had to go down to front desk. They said, “oh we were waiting for you”. I went and was packing up, about ready to walk out the door and at 159pm, someone keyed open my door and walked in without knocking. I get that you’re busy, but I found that very unprofessional. It makes me hesitate wanting to stay again.
4.3
Terrific hotel, particularly for those who are interested in rail history.
4.3
The staff here are very nice and welcoming however the actual facilities were kind of dirty and in need of renovations.
4.3
I would definitely recomend this property.
4.3
The hotel had a fun theme, I didn’t realize there was a full size train inside that had rooms in cars. Our room was like being in a cave, I had no window to the outside. I was disappointed not to be able to see the Grand Hall, because it was closed to the public. I hoped that being a hotel guest would qualify me, but it didn’t. It took the hot water about 10 min to warm up for my shower. The hotel was clean and in a great location if attending a conference or stadium event. If you don’t want to pay for valet, it’s a bit of a walk to the parking garage.
4.3
Fabulous hotel, and staff! If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely rebook this hotel.
4.3
Super cool train rooms!

This area is under complete construction around the entire hotel complex. The only parking options are to pay for valet parking, or walk from a parking garage, which one also has to pay for, that is about 5 blocks away. None of this is mentioning the hotels.com website nor is it listed on the Crowne Plaza website. Waiting to see if I'm going to get my money refunded. We stayed at another hotel.
4.3
Lots of construction around the property, had a great stay
4.3
Over all it was a very nice place, attended the IBE I like the fact that we did not have to leave the building to get to the event. Check in individual very nice; Parking not so good, "Vallet" vehicle park out side; bathtub fills with water while showering not good. Employee service OUTSTANDING

Came to town to visit my son and decided to stay at this hotel. This hotel is centrally located to downtown, Lucas Oil Field and Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The rooms are good size - they have a frig in the room, a Keurig Coffee Maker, and the beds are pretty comfortable. Currently going through some renovations. They are converting the old Train Barn at Union Station into this hotel.
You can even book to stay in a few of the old train cars that have been converted into rooms. Looks pretty cool from the outside. They do have a restaurant on site although we did not try it. There is also an indoor pool and a small workout area.
4.3
We loved this hotel! The theme of the train station was great! Service was awesome and location was convenient. We were bummed that there was no hot tub and the beds were hard and very uncomfortable.
4.3
Really fun rooms in the train car!

We were in town for a concert and were looking for a hotel close to the venue. This was perfect! Safe, clean, affordable, and unique. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Funeka was amazing. Very helpful. We will stay here again.

It's a great experience staying in crown plaza, the common area is very spacious and comfortable. A pleasant stay to watch Olympic trails at the same time.

The hotel was in a convenient location.

I’ve never experienced a friendlier staff in EVERY area. The front desk staff at ALL hours was incredible, the wait staff at breakfast went out of their way to accommodate us every morning and started each day off with a positive vibe, the housekeeping staff also went out of their way and did a fantastic job. From top to bottom the staff were incredible. I’ve stayed at higher end hotels but have never had such great service.
4.3
Parking situation was not what I expected.
4.3
Construction limited parking
4.3
All aspects of this property were excellent, the conversion from a train station to a hotel was very nostalgic.
4.3
we stayed in one of the train car rooms. It was super cute and a different experience for the kids!
4.3
Love it here!
4.3
The property is unique having been crafted within a train station. Some of the rooms are contained in an actual train.
So different!
4.3
When we get there they don’t have any parking so we have to go to a parking garage about 1/8th of a mile from the hotel to park and walk in the dark down a un lit street. Even though we booked for 2 nights and we had the do not disturb on the door, they still beat on the door at 8:00 and woke me up then came back at 9:00 and woke me up. I guess they want everyone out of the rooms early
4.3
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a busy weekend in Indy with the Mini Marathon and Pokemon Regionals, and our stay was very comfortable and mostly quiet. We stayed on an old train, which was a fun experience.
4.3
Exceptional service from the staff. Way overpriced for the quality of the room/facilities. I've stayed in nicer, lower end hotels than this. Poor quality for the brand.
4.3
The hotel itself was very cool, my 4 year old loved the train and glass elevator. He also loved the indoor pool but I was worried about the noise level since it wasn’t enclosed. My only complaint was there was a wedding the night we stayed and the music was on until 11 pm and we could hear it in our 3rd floor room. Staff was great and friendly!
4.3
Staff not very hospitable, almost apathetic or just going through the motions. There was no hot water in the whole building. Come to find out that the boiler was broken. No warning from staff. Tub did not drain at all. Still full after an hour
4.3
Fabulous service! Staying 4 nights in the train car was a lot of fun.
