The location between the trees.
The design and layout.
The cleanliness.
The two sofas in the lounge area were uncomfortable and well worn, they definitely need replacing.
3.5
never had any
what would have been nice would be a shower that worked sadly we could not use the shower as it was way to hot and it would not regulate the temperature so we could only bath

Good location, friendly staff, clean cabins
Thin walls and some things not provided even after we asked / paid for them

Nice and clean
It was basic but that’s ok

Staff let site down
Arrived late long journey from Newcastle
Unpacked arrived at Aubrey’s at 8.05 for takeout to be told sorry closed at 8 but they were still bringing food out !
Son picked up a bug and throw up twice on bedding - nightmare to get replaced bedding rang first day 15 times to be told on its way

This place is just great, In the middle of beatiful nature. Definitely reccomend for a visit.
3.5
Excellent location. Quick, easy check in. Close to facilities.
Booked for 5 people. On arrival they had only allocated passes and bedding for 4 people. This was easily resolved. Caravan was ok, but dirty. Needs a good deep clean. We spent 2 hours cleaning away dirt, spiders and cobwebs. Definitely not the worst condition, but certainly room for improvement with the cleanliness. Thick dust on top of wardrobes. Carpet could do with a clean. Sofas very dirty. Decking area needs a good jet wash down.
Poor service from the staff at Aubrey’s restaurant. Both evening meal and especially breakfast was extremely slow. So much so that we cancelled our evening reservation and ate off site on day 2.

Perfectly suited for a group
Could do with a coffee machine

Clean, comfortable, well furnished.
No Wi-Fi. Although not critical on this occasion. it is available in some areas but not all.

I loved how big the complex is but felt quiet it was very peaceful. Such a lovely place.
The indoor pool was so cold that most people were trying to get into the smaller pool one of which was closed! And I felt cramped in there with my baby!
The entertainment area was not very big we struggled to get in and we were not in peak season!
Room didn't fit next to me crib in.

cabin was not over looked and hot tub was checked twice daily and was lovely and clean
nothing

Good stay overall. Handy to have the shop and restaurant onsite and we really enjoyed our archery session.
Esme lodge was rather small - ok for a couple of nights. Wouldn’t have wanted any more than 2 of us staying there.
Swimming pool needed a lane or time slot for adults that want to swim lengths.
4.5
very clean, with everything you need
nothing

location
the arrival, arrived early to be told to go park in carpark which was full. Then told our property wasn’t ready so late check-in after travelling from southern Cornwall and sitting in traffic we didn’t feel welcomed.

So cosy! Clean, spacious and good supplies!
Rooms were warm and quite luxurious. Jacuzzi was such fun & gave us down time to catch up on chat with bubbly!
staff were very helpful & cheery!

Liked the space in the cabin. Liked the location.
Wasn’t any Wi-Fi which is terrible in this day and age, especially with the amount paid for the accommodation. Also the food in Aubrey’s was awful.

clean, well heated.
no wifi.

Surroundings area is lovely
A select group of visitors on NYE made it impossible to enjoy the evening.
Our pre-booked meal was an hour late serving our starter but then the whole 3 course meal was over in 45mins

Location amazing
Staff during the evening not the most friendly. We booked two bungalows and there were really far from each other and they didn’t help us. Also one of the bungalows didn’t have the heater on and the towels ready

Caravan was warm and cosy very happy for a weekend break
The Guinness was excellent
Staff very friendly behind the bar
Loved the Christmas lights
The food small portions my chicken was dry not much hunters sauce. Coleslaw was horrible
Milky drinks are Luke warm so go very cold quickly
Seemed to be a bit short staff so the table didn't get cleaned down and we did ask for it to be done when ordering at the bar(Woodside inn)
The restaurant was shut for training on Sunday so didn't get to eat in there which was disappointing as it was my Birthday Treat

The park itself is kept very clean. The indoor swimming pool was good, although big pool is quite chilly! The staff we interacted with were pleasant. Check in & out was easy. Location is good. Beds were really comfy.
No takeaway options even though website said so.
No Wi-Fi in lodges - only in the main area
Our lodge wasn’t very clean- lots of animal hairs-we didn’t have an animal!
Comfort lodge too basic - no soap - no towels.
Aubrey’s is shut half of the week & you have to pre book in advance anyway.
Woodside inn is very over priced for very under average food.
4.5
Excellent variety of activities for adults and kids alike, both indoors and outdoors. We loved spending time in the swimming pool, biking in the countryside (helped by the very useful tips given by the person at the bike hire in the premises), watching our daughter run riot in the soft play area and enjoying the family entertainment in the evenings.
If I had to nitpick, I'd say that the options for food were somewhat limited. The Woodside pub was very good, but the Aubrey's restaurant was not that great, especially for vegetarians (I believe these two are the only proper dining places in the resort). The Acorn deli & shop was good, but mainly for breads, fruit, diary and sweet treats. So in my book the only workable option for lunch or dinner within the premises was Woodside. There are no other eateries in the immediate vicinity, though there are some decent pubs within 10 mins drive.
